We arrived at Happy Days Variety on Springbank Drive in London, Ontario, to pick up our rental truck. After completing the paperwork and receiving the keys, I attempted to place the cart into the back of the truck, only to discover that the rear door would not open—it appeared to be jammed or broken. When I requested a different vehicle, the employee on duty refused. I explained that we were meeting others at a scheduled time and required a functional truck, yet each request was met with a firm refusal. We then asked the employee to contact head office for assistance, but she declined and made no effort to resolve the situation. This forced us to leave and attempt to secure another truck at a nearby location, but none were available. Fortunately, when we contacted head office directly, a representative was able to arrange a replacement truck for us 1.5 kilometres away. Based on this experience, it is clear that Happy Days Variety on Springbank Drive should not be handling rental services. The employee demonstrated a lack of competence and professionalism and appeared dependent on her phone for basic guidance. Although the location at 312 Commissioners Road London provided much better service, this overall experience has led me to decide that I will not be renting from your company again.

I booked my truck on the east end of town. The day before, it goes moved all the way to the west end of town. This was really frustrating and disappointing. I then got three phone calls about this from three different representative. Also frustrating because no one got the note that I was notified so I kept getting calls all day and the VM was just “call me back”. Checking in on the phone was fine but approval too a while and in the end probably just as fast as going into the store. Cause when I did go into the store, it took the clerk ten minutes to get me sorted out and hand me my keys. So the truck itself was wonderful. Everything else was a bit disappointing.

BLAKE GTo inform the store personnel the correct pricing. I was told $1.19 /km and was actually charged $1.59. I was not pleased with the difference in the information. I even had him write it down because their accent was hard to be sure.
