Linda came flying out of the office being very rude saying hey you can’t leave that truck here. She said she could only have two trucks and where’s your contract. I told her I have a contract and I’m leaving it here. She finally calmed down but I’ll never use U-Haul again. It was an all around horrible nerve racking experience.

Donna was great! The van was new and clean and I was able to add on an additional day - once again thanks to Donna. I was VERY disappointed with the manager at Compass Storage - Linda. They have displayed signs indicating to bring back empty boxes with your u-haul vehicle for others to use. It would have been simple for me to put our empty boxes in for recycle pick-up, but thinking I could help someone else out, I put the empty boxes in the rented u-haul van. Linda was demeaning to me and my family demanding that we could not return the van with the empty boxes. We are not idiots, as implied by Linda, just thought we were helping others out. I will NEVER utilize Compass Storage for U-haul rentals. I WILL be looking for another provider for my storage needs.

Reserved online with 24/7 truck share option. When i got to location and started process the general manager came out asking what I was doing. She said she doesnt participate in that. I advised her that is the option I selected for this rental and was to the point where I take a picture of my ID. She said not sure why they let you do that. The system did not work, took 20 minutes more, lady was not professional using language not appropiate for business. Was bashing U haul telling me I did not reserve that way. I would not renew her contract. This makes me think twice about using uhaul.

It took over 50 minutes to get my truck because the system insisted on charging me $14.00 for insurance I didn't need. The rep had to make 2 calls to the help desk who couldn't help either. U-Haul sucks, it has always sucked, and it will always suck. You don't honor your reservations, you don't honor your price quotes, and now your systems insist on ripping customers off with needless insurance. The poor rep at the facility was really upset and frustrated that he has to work with such a shitty company. I'll do anything to avoid using U-Haul.

Doc Grillin the office staff at the location was great.. Uhaul as a company was terrible. My location changed at the last minute, i was notified by email on a saturday which of course I didnt check since Im so busy in the middle of a move. After driving to my original location, I went to pick up at Compass at 9:15am Sunday..Compass hours on Sundays are 10am. Had people waiting at my house to help move. Terrible Experience due to Uhaul!

I reserved moving blankets on the uhaul site and when I got there, they didn't have any. I'm not sure whether that's the compass' fault or Uhaul's. The person who rang me up was having an issue where the system wasn't considering my email address valid. He basically threw up his hands and said there was nothing he can do, but suggested that I could call Uhaul for support on the computer issue he was having... After about 10 minutes of acting as an unwitting liaison between Uhaul and the guy at Compass, my issue was resolved and I was able to get out the door with the van I rented (but not the blankets). All in all, because of this terrible service, I was a half hour late to pick up the furniture I bought, and when I finally got there, I had no way to protect it in the truck. I broke two pieces of marble because of Uhaul and Compass's inability to coordinate with each other.

The Compass self-storage manager, Doc Griffin, was a wonderful customer service representative. He was thorough and clear and concise with his explanations of the truck rental, as my husband and I had never rented a U-Haul before, his detailed explanations were very helpful. We have never before received better customer service and will be returning to Compass Self-storage for all of our U-Haul needs in the future because of Mr. Griffin. Moving furniture is never a fun experience and can be quite stressful. Because of him, our experience was much less stressful. Thank you!

The truck had check engine light on the guy neber did a walk around with me to see truck. The brakes were metal to metal grinding the whole way wether brakes were applied or not causing severe gas cosumption. Then when I dropped off truck the guy was literally sleeping I had to to say hey wake up..and the guy was like sorry I had a rough night...the truck was horrible

The truck wouldn't go above 40 without shaking and the mothers attic in the truck leaked an ruined about 200 dollars worth of personal items that can not be replaced

The person at the counter was supposed to do a walk around of the truck and check the gas. The paper agreement I got said the truck had more gas than it really had in it. other than that it was an good place to rent from.

I arrived on site 15 minutes before my schedule pick up. Once the employee open the door for both of us, he informed me that the 10' truck I was renting had two more schedule pick up for the day. I couldn't believe want he was telling me as I had plan to use the truck all day. The employee stated this is common with U-Haul as this is a business. I was clearly disappointed with the approach and comments , however I had a daughter I had to move. I was able to bring the truck back before 1 o'clock and my wife was able to rent a 10' truck from Budget which I returned this morning. It just wasn't right if the next customer would be short if they had a had a schedule pick up at 1, unless the U-Haul employee was pulling my leg.

Clean the vehicle prior to renting it out. There was something in the console being used as an ashtray that even had a cigarette butt in it when I rented the vehicle. No one walked out to go over the vehicle. I was handed the keys and pointed in the direction of the truck. I found hidden on the back side of a multi-part release form a hand written note about damage to the box of the truck that was secured with tape and that the customer (unknowingly) accepts risk of water damage. Fortunately for U-haul there was no water damage because I was never told of the issue and would never agreed to accept risk of water damage. It rains all the time in Florida! In my opinion, very unprofessionally handled transaction.

The staff was just wonderful. I especially like the convenience of using the online reservation system. Saves time, stress and relative ease for this rental. The staff was great they were able to assist with my situation considering the unknown of not being sure when the dealership would complete repairs. Thanks once again.

The man (Doc) doesn't know how to use a computer and blames it on the uhaul website being to difficult to use. It shouldn't take an hour to get a truck that was reserved.

The representative was not aware of my reservation made the day before. The office was under construction making it virtually impossible to conduct business. The rep was unfamiliar with the systems and asked me for my credit card information 4 times. After trying to hook up the trailer to my UHaul branded hitch/ball, the reps told me my ball was too big and I needed to go buy another one. After another 5 minutes of fooling around, they finally got it hooked up. They also never properly hooked up the cables for tail lights, and I never did a walk around. They let me leave with a faulty trailer that wasn't properly hooked up. I also called to complain and experienced two disconnected calls after beliefly speaking with 3 different reps from UHaul.
