It was my first experience with uhaul. Its costly, i have been charged for fuel as well, after taking $ 0.79 per mile. And no one told me that i need to return the truck with full fuel. Also i have travel insurance thru my chase sapphire card, but still it charged to meSUSHANT T.

The only bright spot in this entire move was Drew, the manager at Compass. We had booked our reservation at another location but Uhaul moved our pickup to Compass. Uhaul needs to stop allowing customers to return their rentals late. This messes up the reservations for everyone scheduled after the late customer. That is what happened to us. We were supposed to get our truck on Saturday morning, August 30. This would have given us plenty of time to complete our move before we needed to be out of our apartment. Due to the previous renter being allowed to be late, our reservation was moved to Sunday morning. However, when we arrived, there was no truck. Drew moved heaven and earth trying to find us a truck from another location with no luck. Then he started working on getting the previous renter to return the truck. He really went above and beyond for us. Finally, we got our truck at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. So, due to UHaul's policy of allowing renters to extend their rentals without thought to other customers who are waiting, a move that should have started Saturday, August 29 at 10 AM allowing us plenty of time to complete our move did not start until Sunday at 2:30 PM. We were then forced to rush and could not complete our move until 2:00 AM. Customers should not be allowed to extend their rentals when other customers are waiting.WILLIAM BRIAN B.

There was nobody there when I picked up the truck, I had to call and was delayed 15-30 minutes just to pick up the truck! Also I was overcharged when I got my reciept in my email! I usually have great experiences with Uhaul but this one was one to forget!Derek T.

The location and staff are not the issue here. But i'll never use the Mobile App again. Your system keeps crashing and i have to refresh and restart from the beginning multiple times. I've wasted almost 20 mins just to pick up the U-Haul truck. Wasted another 20 mins returning it. I only had about 6 hrs to complete my schedule. When i did the reservation, they already asked for all information including my drivers license. Upon confirming the pick up, it asked for a picture of my front license and back license, i mean thats redundant. If you wanted a copy of the drivers license then ask for it from the beginning. Then it asked for 2 alternate contacts and confirmed if they're with me, what for?? You had to call them as well. That wasn't specified from the initial reservation. Thats a waste of time trying to call people just to ask if they're with me. I dont understand the whole purpose of that. Finally got the code, then you've asked to take a picture of the odometer and your own system keeps crashing and i cant proceed forward. Then returning the vehicle was even worse. I cant imagine how many pictures you've asked. You asked for a picture of the odometer, the fuel. Then 2 photos of the truck being clean, but again your system keeps crashing and i have to restart over and over and over again, what a waste of time. Before i made the reservation, I could've asked for the picture of the truck as well and made sure it was clean. Then you've asked for picture of the truck being parked in the same location, but then you've already asked to allow to share my location to you. So whats the picture for if you already know where im located at? Im not stealing your U Haul truck and im not doing it any damage. All these pictures and questions are redundant, some unnecessary and a waste of my time. This is the first time I'll say that i wished I would've just utilized the people up front instead of using your mobile service. Very frustrated and will not recommend to anyone.Danmar D.

They didn't have the dolly I ordered online and they said they would take off the extra $10 they charged me but they did NOT. They said I didn't put enough gas in the truck but I put in MORE than what I started with and I took pictures of everything including the gas gauge to prove it in case this sort of thing happened. This isn't my first rodeo. UHaul continues to try to rip people off and I can't understand why. I have used UHaul in the past and always had some sort of problem either with pick up or materials. I have pictures so if the extra gas charge is not taken off along with the dolly charge for the dolly they didn't have then I have pictures to prove my truth and I will pursue action.Maryellen D.

Rented U-Haul for 2 days for Saturday and Sunday, but they actually only gave me 27 hours, cause they close early on Sunday and then wanted to charge extra $20 for convenience fee to drop off after they closed on Sunday.. but still charged me for the two days anyways.... Rip off!! Don't rent for more then day...Danny S.
The only real complaint is the brakes wobbled when I pushed on the brakes. It was pretty bad. I have been working on cars for years and the problem is not the brakes or the caliber, It is the rotors. Waited 20 minutes for the worker to come back from lunch then rented a truck did not tell me that it had to be dropped back at same location so I dropped it somewhere closer to my house and was charged an extra 135$ horrible location/service would never recommend anyone to go there!Timothy K.

Our truck was beat... They put a dolly and a giant bag of blankets secured and immovable which forced us to make two trips because it blocked the door way. If you cut the seal to move the gear they charge you more?! Isn't it illegal to charge taxes on services in USA? They charged us $4.55 on a "rental tax". Overall $20 more than my online quote. The website and the app need work. I am thankful that my 24/7 reservation was close to this locations normal opening time and the gentleman could help me, otherwise the website was not going to work well enough for me to use the 24/7 uhaul route. This was my very first time renting a truck, and next time I do, I would make sure to rent it during normal business hours due to that fact. It caused much more stress than was already needed in a day of moving. Great customer service Compass Storage in Warren, MI though!Steve O.

The back door won't close and the employee won't even check to see what's the problem. Cause me too much delay. They only have one truck and They transfer me to other locations. Then iniatially charge me for environmental fee and when I ask the employee to explain to me that fee and she doesn't really know what to say.ARNOLD D.
