jeffrey mThe representative from this location could not have been any better. Upon examining the unit he revealed that I had went over in mileage. I told him that f I had been able to pick up the vehicle in Auburn, Alabama as I had ordered on the uhaul website no extra mileage would have been accrued on the vehicle. I disputed the issue and he helped me contact Uhaul national office where I could present my case. The representative said she understood that I had to pick up the vehicle 50 miles away from the original order point in Auburn, but that the extra mileage issue should have been performed at the Alexander City Uhaul location, and that nothing could be done and I was responsible for the overage in mileage. I felt like I had stepped into yher twilight zone or the looking glass. I had the national representative steel man my situation, and she was able to describe the situation fully and accurately, but insisted I was responsible for the extra mileage. The Uhaul representative at 803 W Grand Ave spoke up and retold the situation to the national Uhaul Representative. He said that this mileage overage was not the fault of the customer and that she could correct this situation. The national Uhaul rep yet again said thathe customer was responsible. The local W Grand Ave Rep. told me to just hang up. (pulling his finger across his throat). After the hangup withe the national Uhaul rep. the local rep said he would take care of this issue. He said he would be penalized by correcting the issue. He said that I had been very nice even though I had been wronged by the Uhaul system. I anyone actually reads this missive the rep at 803 W Grand Ave Rainbow City, Al should not be. As a matter of fact he should be offered a position at Uhaul corporate training customer service reps and a salary appropriate to a VP of Customer Service relations. He provided me his name and as I read it, it appears to be Jig. If Corporate desires more information please contact me using my contact info provided on the contract...

He even had people who could help me load for a very reasonable price. I've rented from uhaul over 30 years and his professional demeanor and customer service was absolutely the best ever. I would definitely recommend his location to anyone.

CLEMMY HTruck that was rented to me had a crack in the windshield, bumper guard hanging off front passenger side, dent in the driver door, and front driver side tire was low. While filling tire with air, discovered nail in tire. Instead of replacing vehicle with another, dealer called roadside assistance to change tire before my trip. Roadside took almost 2 hours to show up, replaced that tire, found back driver side tire not road worthy, changed it, and suggested back passenger side tire needed replacing as it had no tread on it but he only had 2 tires with him. Trip was delayed almost 3 hours getting the truck roadworthy for travel.

RICHARD SPick-up location at Kyle Ave. was specifically chosen for mileage and convenience. The night before, the pick-up location was changed to W. Grand Ave, which is further miles. Kyle Ave. did have 10' trucks on the lot. I was charged for those extra miles. Feels like shady business. This location is messy and unprofessional.

LAURA FTrailer had a low tire and the brake light and blinker did not work on one side. I delayed leaving for my trip for several hours trying to repair it and my truck when all along it was not my truck, which the owner as adamant that it was. Spent 165$ extra to outside repair for nothing.

KEVIN LI had to wait while the truck was cleaned out, add fuel myself and the trailer I rented had the tie straps for the front tires cut so short that we had to completely let the air out of the tires in order for the straps to pull through the ratchet. Also had to attach our own ratchet straps in order to ensure the vehicle didn’t come loose. Spent extra time we didn’t have trying to get that sorted, causing us to be too late getting into the storage facility.

This one felt like luxury assistance. The owner was so helpful, kind and accommodating for what we specifically needed. He assisted with taking the pictures for pick up, planning the correct mileage and even suggesting the specific help we might need. I would recommend this U-Haul location over any other pick up. I feel like I made a friend getting to work with him.
parker rI had 60 blankets on my order, but when I got there for pickup, he only wanted to give me 12. He stated he “ couldn’t give me more than 12, so I had to make suggestions and be adamant About getting what I ordered. My friend had to drive to another location in order to make it happen.
