Kyiesha J.Absolutely horrible experience. I rented a truck from uhaul in Ferndale, MI off Livernois because it was close to my house. All I Was suppose to do was check in on my phone but when I got there they didn't have a truck assigned to me so had to go inside and talk to an associate. The associate informed me that the truck I rented was not available and I asked if there was something smaller or bigger I could use. He told me no and redirected me to the next location. I rode my bike because it was a less than a mile from my house. So then had to ride my bike another 7 miles away in a sketchy area of Detroit where there was literarily a shooting at the night before. Thankfully they had one truck left because someone had just cancelled but once again horrible customer service when I got there. Then the shop was closed when I dropped the vehicle back off and tried to check it in on the app but it wouldn't let me and kept giving me an error message. This morning I received the final bill and there are all these additional charges. I will never rent from uhaul again and I will strongly advice friends and family to do the same.

Margaret B.I made reservations for a 2 bedroom truck the one for 39 dollars. But they tried to put me in the 10 the studio to a one bedroom apartment. For 80 dollars that truck is only 20 dollars to rent and after everything is total out it should've been no more than 50 dollars. Once I said something about the truck that they wanted to put me in the put into the 15 that's a one to two bedroom apartment still not what I made reservations for and still charge me the same price for the one I supposed to have the 39 dollar truck this is a 29 dollar truck but you charged me for the 17

Jennifer S.Got the u haul at 1pm they closed at 4pm which is weird uhaul usually closes at 6pm I dropped the uhaul back off at 5pm and was charged for two days. I had the uhaul all for 4 hours and was charged for 48 hours. Would never recommend this location!
quonie B.I did not promise to pay all them extra fees the Dexter location is horrible I will be gladly to pay the total of 113 for my rental but he reported the truck stolen making it hard for me to get a rental than I called to discuss the late ness and he's a bad sub contractor. I will mail in the remainder money I paid 48 so I will pay the rest minus all them error fees and a cleaning fee because I didn't return the truck dirty

rickey T.The truck had a lock on it and the code that I was given wouldn't workwhen I called U-hail I had to wait for 18 minutes on hold until someone answered the call then I was transferred to another department and was on hold for another 5 minutes they got ahold of the owner and he verified the code it still wouldnt work she called him back and included him in the call after locking up the code again he gave us another one and it finally worked. Picking up this truck took over 2 hours.

DEMETRIA S.If found mouse dropping in one of my cubicles. When I was cleaning the cubical I noticed a small opening in the corner of an adjoining cubical. As a suggestion, have each cubical sealed with a sealer that can prevent rodents from traveling in other cubicles. I did tell the clerk about the opening upon final inspection.

David H.Make sure u never use Dexter no. 1. The manager gave a Uhaul under my phone number at 12p to someone which blocked me from my reservation at 130p n which no truck was there for me. The manager told me i had no reservation but wen i showed him my email confirmation he still denied it right along with denying he made a mistake n tried to brush me off n close at 2p. I spoke to scheduling departments n they told him themselves he needs to call his area manager to reverse the rental off my phone number n he still was in denial n didn't want to take responsibility. It had to b God that brought a renter whom was dropping off her Uhaul rental after hrs n yes we were still in office tryna get him to budge n hadnt this lady brought the truck in, i wouldn't have had a truck that day n it took an hr to get it through his ears that he messed up n to reverse it or its like im out with a dispatched truck already. After all this we get home to move n his assistant gave me an appliance dolly with no safety buckles n we had to slide a refrigerator, stove, n deep freezer on their sides up a flight of stairs. Dexter is a hell noooo! Reservation are horrible next time ill walk in like ive done for yrs cuz once they verbally told me one was on w.warren n wen on-site manager checked again they had me in fucking Canada n I live in Detroit. Walk in or reserve but call the onsite for confirmation

Nope. So, I had to cancel my online reservation, and the owner made a new one. An hour later, and we were finally gone.
