JOHN CHad to wait a while to pick up my truck because the one guy that could help me was busy with a customer in the paint section of the hardware store.. The trucks were parked too close together to get in easily and nobody was available to help.

Jesus CTerrible experience. Had reservation for 730am. Since it was before location opened, U-Haul automatically made my reservation a "24/7 Truck Share" saying I'd be able to check out using the app. Got to the location and the app said no vehicle is connected to your reservation. After panic calling and chatting, agents said location probably just didn't put the keys in the lock box for me to retrieve them. Just wait till the location opens at 830am and they'll be able to check out your vehicle. When they opened, I went in and said explained I'm waiting for my U-Haul reservation. The only employee there said, he can't check me out, only his boss can, who should be in in about 10 minutes. I explained that my reservation was for 730am and that U-Haul said I'd be able to check out the vehicle on my own using the app. He got defensive and argumentative, so I backed off. I just needed the truck! 845am and still no boss. The employee starts telling me I should call U-Haul and see if they have a truck in another nearby location. I call but the phone system says its going to 15-20 minutes, again, to talk with someone. Finally a U-Hail agent comes on the line. He says if the employee can tell us the truck's key number he can check me out over the phone. Now the employee says he called a co-worker who can check out the truck, that the co-worker will be there in 5 minutes. So we wait, 10+ minutes. Finally, the co-worker shows up. He's very friendly and apologetic regarding the boss. He checks out the truck. Its 930am - two hours after my reservation should have started. The truck is filthy. When he opens the loading door I climb up and notice the sign that says to avoid a $25 fine sweep out the truck before returning. I point out that the floor is dirty. He says, ya, they didn't sweep it out last night. First stop I make is to the gas station where I clean the filthy windshield (could hardly see through it) the driver's and passenger's windows and the side mirrors. Getting such a late start made me hit traffic all along my route, so it was dark by the time I returned the truck. I returned the truck much cleaner than I got it, but I didn't scrub the console inside the truck. Checking in using the app, I clicked the choice that the truck needed cleaning before the person rents it. So then the app wanted to charge me a $25 cleaning fee! I had to go back and redo the whole check-in to eliminate the cleaning fee. So, the next person gets a filthy truck too. :( I'd never recommend or use this location again!

David MI rent every weekend for work and love this location. My last rental was a brand new GMC van with only 50 miles on it. I got in, shut the door and tried to start the vehicle. It wouldn't let me start it and I got a message saying that i needed to shut the driver door. I actually had to slam it hard. This happened to me several time over the weekend. Also, someone put a barcode sticker on the radio display that covered up the station. I had to lean over to the passenger seat to see what station was on. Also, the check engine light came on at 220 miles. Not the best rental experience.

Sally PPlease note that it's the hardware store to return the truck on the rental paperwork. It is hard to find because it has no U-haul sign at the street. I drove right by, had to call to get directions, and double back which added to my mileage overage costs. The people who work there were excellent.

Eric SFirst I order my truck in one town and was told that my truck was in town instead- My truck smelled of smoke and I am asthmatic - I was not clean- I wipe the seat with a baby wipe because it was sticky- the truck was given me with quarter of a tank but actually it was at a eighth - was not sure the gas mileage per gallon so I filled it up about $110 and only used a 1/8 of a tank so lost the rest gas money because there is no refunds on gas I was told when I returned it to one way location store. Blankets I thought I rented were not in in the truck when I arrived at my location- called back and I was told ‘ they eliminated them from my bill because they were out of blankets- I said it would have been nice to been inform of your situation instead of just eliminated them from bill- overall not real good experience with Uhaul -
Donna TWe got to the location 4 minutes late and the only guy who could help us was leaving to go to the bank. One more minute we would have had to wait. They did not have the size truck we wanted so we had to load up 2 cars too. They did not have the equipment that would have made moving the furniture a lot easier. I don't think it was the locations fault except for almost missing him.

Ulises TThe van could be better maintained and there could be a better paying system for gas and miles. The van had a horrible odor and it wreaked the whole trip. In addition, the van was used for <30 miles and got refilled for more than what was wasted. An appropriate refund would be appreciated for the extra gas and the inconvenient smell.

RICHARD SThere was a hole in the roof of the vehicle that we were given. Rain leaked into the load and soaked my items in the mother’s attic. Other parts of the vehicle were equally well maintained and needed to be adjusted by us to make the truck safe for travel. Had we not noted them prior they would not have been fixed before we left cotati.
