A trailer is a trailer — but great service is what makes the difference, and that’s exactly what I got at Cox Muller U-Haul. The staff was friendly, professional, and incredibly thorough. I especially appreciated how clearly everything was explained. It’s rare these days to find this level of attention to detail and customer care. I’ll absolutely be using this location again the next time I need to rent a trailer. Highly recommend!

Debbie MPlace was CLOSED at 4:30 pm so nobody was there to help. I did a "self return" with the app which was ok after 4 attempts. Apparently, the app was struggling to work due to spotty internet connection. I thought it had "froze up" bat after waiting about a minute it started working again. Eventually, I was able to get it done.

GREGORY AI rented at this location before and got the same "treatment." The person who helped at the desk was very friendly . . . but not really helpful. I was processed quickly, but I was not walked out to my vehicle - I had to find it on my own. This happened the last time as well. Just like the previous time, there weren't any other customers to contend with, so this wasn't the issue. Instead, it was a lack of customer service. I'm used to U-Haul customer service where they walk me out to the vehicle, inspect it with me (if desired), go over any potential issues (such as how to pull out a ramp or open the cargo door), make sure it starts and the gas is where they said it would be at the checkout counter, etc. But none of this happened . . . either time. I don't think I will ever rent from this location again. Not because of any problem, but because I didn't feel I got the appropriate customer service AFTER I left the counter. At the counter, everything was fine.

Nizar RCox Muffler/U-Haul set up the truck to be checked out as they were supposed to. However, I had to call in and use the web site from my phone, and the technician who explained it to me did not ease my mind about the U-Haul App, or the web site. I was on-site fifteen minutes before I was supposed to begin the process of checking out the truck and, yet, because of the excessive noise of the area and the inability of the app and the web site to operate as they should, for a company that's been checking out vehicles as long as U-Haul has, I didn't get the truck until more than an hour AFTER I should have had the truck checked out. The app on my phone had the camera and the location parts turned on, as they should have been, the app had just been updated, but I still had to go to the web site, which I had to reload twice just to get ANYTHING to work properly, due to Wi-Fi and Data problems. Yet, this was not a phone issue, as it was loading the site fine, but the site did not load everything it was supposed to. Good Lord.

Norman TI would like to take the time out to say that the best Uhaul location in Lufkin, Texas is Cox Muffler on Timberland Dr. You get good service, you get good customer services, extra equipment and help with the Uhaul app. I couldn't make the app work right so I went to the location and they took care of everything one the spot. He told me where to return the key and where to park the truck when I came back. He even told me if you can't get it in one of the spots just put it by the building and I will put it in the right place on Monday. I didn't even have to go back by the location that Monday due to I had to be at work by 7:30am. He emailed me my finial bill that morning. Customer services was wonderful and the price for everything was fantastic!!! I have used Cox Muffler for my Uhaul experience at least 5 times and they will always be my go to location. Thank you Cox Muffler / Uhaul!!!

Charles TMy wife and I were on a road trip to visit family and grandkids when our car broke down in Lufkin, Texas. It was a Thursday night and we were on a strict time table. The bad news was our car couldn’t get fixed until the middle of the following week, completely interrupting our timetable. To top it off, the only car rental agency in town had no cars. The car repair company suggested Uhaul and called Cory. Even though it was closing time they brought us in and fixed us up with a cargo van. We were stuck and they came to our rescue.
