Ordered a furniture dolly because I needed it. Didn't have it. Waited for another rental then 5 people in line for snacks, only to them try to charge me mileage already included in the agreement I already had. this is a service station, which there are a continuous flow of people buying goods in store which delays uhaul checkout, also if reserved online checkout should be quicker such as showing i.d. and credit card and renter can depart quicker!!!!RJ S.

Rental was pod for in advance through online check in. The associate still wanted to run my card. She even wrote down my credit card info including the security code on her own personal note pad. It was very suspicious. She was unable to properly dispatch the rental. Spent well over an hour waiting for her to finally call web support to resolve the issueKyle W.

The truck was filthy on the inside with trash, it had more miles on it then the paperwork claimed and less gas. However the lady that checked me out was very friendly and explained to me how to log all the defects into the system, which I did.Mary S.

The auto carrier I rented was unsafe. One safety chain was missing, one wheel fender was damaged and unable to use the front lock down, and the hook for the rear lockdown chain was broken off.John P.

I reserved a uhaul trailer in one location close to home. My husband got there and the place was closed and no trailer our size on the lot. I called Uhaul and was told they changed the location to a location nearly an hour away, several days prior to pick up day. I was never notified of the change. Got to the new location and the girl had just then got the information on her computer for our pickup. I reserved and paid for a dozen moving blankets. I only received 2 as they didnt have any more. Poor service online and on phone. There was no concern at all that we had been inconvenienced.Stephen B.

Have better customer service. Im being charged for turning it in. You have the truck. Its in good condition. more gas than when i was given the truck and im being charged 161 because your employee didnt ask me where i was returning the truck. And no one at uhual is trying to work with me. I got it from a convent store uhual pick up and was interrupted 5 times during ny pick up cause she had other customers. Get more stores. I will never use uhual again and I'll advise others not to either.Jenie M.

UHaul is a very tiny portion of Cross Country's business so there is very little UHaul equipment and almost no signage. I actually drove right by it and came back to ask for directions. The attendant was very personable and helpful. This store needs more UHaul visibility.Steve Z.

This was my first time renting a U-Haul and didn't really know what to expect. We completed the transaction by simply leaving the key with me and left. We did not inspect the vehicle. The vehicle had only a quarter tank of gas and the furniture pads that I ordered were missing (which I didn't know till after getting it back to the apartment.) the lady told me to make sure I return the U-Haul with the same amount of gas I received. pressed for time, I continued with the move.Jacob K.

This is the second time I have used this location. They didn't have a pickup truck available, again, within 20+ miles. They are extremely poorly trained. It's filthy and there's so much junk on the counter you can't see the employee at the computer, and they kept interrupting our transaction every time someone else came in to make a purchase. This time the employee tried to charge me a $100 deposit and then told me the insurance was required. I was told over the phone when I made my reservation that it was not. Then when I tried calling I was told that money could not be refunded over the phone because they couldn't verify whether there was damage to the truck. If there was damage wouldn't I be responsible regardless of if I choose not to purchase insurance? Also, the gas station at this â€œcertified U-Haul locationâ€ was completely out of gas and we had to drive additional miles to find another gas station. I am completely fed up with this entire experience.suzie S.

Both locations I picked were changed. Making us drive further. This increased the mileage that was put on the truck on our way to return it. Then they charged me $20 extra for the miles. I'm contacting customer service for a reimbursement !Matilda V.

My original reservation was for a 17' truck at FSB auto in Lake Jackson,TX. The uhaul rep called me that there were no 17' trucks in my area for that date and "upgraded" me to a 20' truck. When I showed up to pick up truck through 24/7 online pick up...no equipment was assigned to my reservation. Called the 24/7 support # and went to voicemail/never received a return call after chatting online and calling customer service for over 30 minutes, a rep was able to find a 15' truck 10 miles away which added additionally mileage to my trip because I had to be moved out that day. When I went to the location they forgot to put utility dolly in the truck and I had to go back inside and remind them. Then I had to call customer service again so they could file my complaint back through the original place of reservation. I am still waiting to receive my $50 reservation guarantee refund or any other refund from this total mismanagement of my reservation. If I have other options in the future I will never use Uhaul again due to this incredible inconvenience and lack of customer support to make it right.RYAN B.

When we contacted 1800uhaul we were helped by a man named Khan. He quoted us the wrong price, reserved us a uhaul at a closed location, did not tell any price we would be charged but the 19.95. When trying to pick up our truck at the location in Richwood we find out its closed til monday. We look for another location and find out the dont have anything but the 29.95 truck,mileage is .99 per mile, and our price of rental has really exceeded our budget. I would not recommend uhaul or will i use them again at this point. Tried calling customer service several times was put on hold at least 15 mon each time and still never spoke to anyone.. Sincerely. The truck that I reserved and confirmed online beforehand was not available at the location when I went to pick it up. The website even routed me specifically to that location because a closer location did not have a pickup truck available, so it was unexpected and frustrating. The gas station where the rental transaction took place was dirty, and the counter was so crowded with stuff for sale that I could not see the employee assisting me, and they remained seated at their computer, out of my sight and barely within earshot, while they collected my contact information and asked if I wanted to upgrade the insurance offered. They also helped several other customers as they came into the store while I stood aside to wait, which I understand but it still did not help alleviate the situation. It took nearly an hour to get the reservation straightened out since the truck I needed was not available, and the employee assisting me did not offer to take any responsibility for the error, claiming it "wasn't her boss' fault" that this mix-up had occurred. I understand mistakes happen but the website reservation system was incredibly frustrating and not helpful, and the staff I interacted with did not make the process smoother. They were not familiar with the product or sympathetic to the difficulty involved.suzie S.
