The rep started out pretty nasty ( maybe my TRUMP hat) in the way she was talking too me, but I kept responding with kindness and she finally came around at the end, when she realized I was just a normal person. Crack heads walking into the parking lot was pretty sketchy, but not uhauls fault just the area.

Put trailer jacks on the 6x12 trailers. If the U-haul employees are not able to assist in hooking up a large trailer, and the customer is unable to lift a trailer of a heavy weight, as is the 6x12 trailer, it makes it impossible for a customer to hook up. Luckily when I went to obtain the trailer there was a younger gentleman there to assist, but he had just showed up. The female employee could not have helped me, and after numerous major surgeries, no way could I lift that trailer without permanently causing further injuries to myself. A retractable jack on those trailers would be a big benefit to customers, and employees, and possibly save U-Haul from possible lawsuits from customer injuries.
Thomas BAfter driving 525 miles, I would have liked to return my U-Haul equipment to the location nearest to my destination. Those were “full” and I was instructed over the phone and through text to drop off my equipment 30 minutes out of my way. Because of this, I was inconvenienced several times and forced to put additional gas in the vehicle for this 15 mile trip. When I made it to the Cumberland location, the personnel were helpful but not personable or kind.

ANTHONY WUpon arrival the customer service representative was not helpful. She gave me basic instructions how to get to the lot where the trailer was. The trailer was blocked by a tow truck so I could not directly back up to the trailer. The trailer numbers on the document and the trailer did not match. The man that worked there, Robert, came out to assist in hooking the trailer up because the trailers don't have a stand to raise and lower the trailer on a vehicle. He hooked the trailer up completely and while driving down the road the trailer came unhitched from the ball and I almost had an accident. I pulled over and hooked everything back up and made sure to cross the chains, which wasn't previously done. I called a location close to where I was at the time to see if I could drop the trailer off there, but they said I had to contact the original location to change the itinerary. I called the location but could not get anyone to answer the phone.

Kevin wMy reservation was moved about two hours before pickup and pushed to the next day. I called to get the truck, wasn’t there. The rep went out of his way to find a truck and call me…. It was SIXTY miles a way at a desolate lot. Had to do the phone thing, was a massive inconvenience to have my reservation moved and then almost not getting a truck. Didn’t have a rep to talk to about how I got screwed last minute, a phone rep just said she’d waive 60 miles to get out there.
Ryan FBring the Uhaul closer to the Customer. Listen to what your Customers are asking for. Learn what a guarantee really means. Was not the personnel at the pickup it was how far we had to go to pickup rental that was poor. Customer service called less than 24 hours before pickup to notify us there was no truck (which was guaranteed) available. Way to many excuses way too late.
Thomas PThis was not the location I made my reservation for pickup. I did not receive notification that it had changed until 6:30 PM the night before I was to pick up at 1000 AM. This location was 53 miles from my house vs 16 miles for the location in my reservation. I already had helpers lined up. The scheduling department closes at 7PM so there was no one to assist. The scheduling manager that I spoke to the morning of pickup did credit me $50 for the guaranteed reservation location not being available and extra mileage since I had further to bring the truck to get to my house. I would have appreciated a little more notice of the change. A phone call instead of a text would have been nice.

Jared CWHY WOULD THIS LOCATION TELL THE CUSTOMER , "you have to hook it up yourelf" . I know nothing about U-Haul , I just rent them. " I waited an hour for a man tocome back from lunch after driving 54 miles to get an auto trailer. He never hooked up the lights . All chains were hanging under trlr. I drove from Cumberland to Dallas, Tx with no lights hooked up. I never knew that the hubs were able to be let down and i could get out of auto AFTER driving it up on trailer. I crawled through window and tried to push button up for window . I was partially unsuccessful. drove through rain- sleet and snow with my car widow gapped. My father died and i had to clean out his apartment in Henrico, Va and take possession of his vehicle back to Tx. Richmond has a " Lack of U-Hauls" . Due to ONE WAY rentals :(

Geoffrey BThis location and people working were pleasant but I would not ever use uhaul again!!! I made a reservation over a week ago to pick up a truck in crewe, Virginia. Got a phone call yesterday saying the truck we reserved had vanished. We had to choose a new pick up location in farmville, VA and at a later time very inconvenient! Called prior to going to farmville to ask about truck they said it would be there at 10am. We arrive at 10:30am and our truck is not there! We weren't given a heads up or anything so we drove all that way for nothing!!! We then get sent to Cumberland where we were offered a 20 footer instead of the 26 because that's all that was available. This system needs some updates and much better communication. The fact that we had to go to two different locations after our first location was changed is mind blowing! I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN!

Jesus LThe owner came out on a holiday to open the lockbox for us. Mobile checkin in a joke and uhaul customer service is even worse. Highly recommend this location but dealing with uhaul was terrible.

paul mWanted to rent trailer. I own a Ford Explorer... Why does no one know that u won't rent a trailer for this vehicle ? Had to rent a truck at considerable expense. Not very happy with uhaul. Will try another company .
