This location and people working were pleasant but I would not ever use uhaul again!!! I made a reservation over a week ago to pick up a truck in crewe, Virginia. Got a phone call yesterday saying the truck we reserved had vanished. We had to choose a new pick up location in farmville, VA and at a later time very inconvenient! Called prior to going to farmville to ask about truck they said it would be there at 10am. We arrive at 10:30am and our truck is not there! We weren't given a heads up or anything so we drove all that way for nothing!!! We then get sent to Cumberland where we were offered a 20 footer instead of the 26 because that's all that was available. This system needs some updates and much better communication. The fact that we had to go to two different locations after our first location was changed is mind blowing! I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN!Brandon M.

The owner came out on a holiday to open the lockbox for us. Mobile checkin in a joke and uhaul customer service is even worse. Highly recommend this location but dealing with uhaul was terrible.Jason S.

Service at Cumberland uhaul was great.. I reserve a 26 foot truck so I could make 1 trip but they only had a 20 foot one and I had to make two trips and pay a extra 15 for the miles??paul M.
Wanted to rent trailer. I own a Ford Explorer... Why does no one know that u won't rent a trailer for this vehicle ? Had to rent a truck at considerable expense. Not very happy with uhaul. Will try another company .linda B.

Vicky was exceptionally helpful and kind. The only issue I had an it was not with the people at this facility but it was with the guy who called me asking me to return the truck early. I rented the truck for a certain period of time and that is what I kept it for. i don't think U haul should be calling you asking you to return the vehicle early so they can rent it again.NELSON C.

Why I had to drive to the next county to drop off the truck when there was a retailer 5 miles away from my destination is beyond me and your customer service rep was completely unhelpful in providing any kind of explanation. Having to drive a huge truck an extra 45 minutes after a long and exhausting day of moving was not only inconvenient, it was infuriating; compounded by the fact that I couldn't get ahold of anyone in your customer service office to discuss the matter the day of the move. If I had received notice of the drop-off location prior to the day of the move, I would have canceled my order because of the sheer ridiculousness of the drop-off instructions. It made absolutely no sense and no one could provide me with an explanation as to why I had to waste nearly 2 hours taking the truck to the next county, away from both my starting location and my destination. The only up-side is I was promised I would not be charged for those superfluous miles that result from this nonsense.KATHERINE T.

I preemptively filled out the paperwork and scheduled my pick up and delivery days prior to my actual pickup date. I had to redo all the paperwork, the consultant there was just trying to get the papers signed without explaining what was being signed. Didn't go over the vehicle, had to tour the vehicle to make sure damages weren't on the truck. To top it off, my close friend had a terrible experience with uhaul and is settling claim with them for destroying her property; she received discount codes to be applied to any further uhaul experience. She's completely and utterly disgusted with uhaul and will never use them again. That being said she gave the code for me to apply to my transaction and the consultant didn't know how to apply the code and refused to look into it and became agitated and it was the worst customer service experience of my life. I demand my entire experience to be refunded and to make mends for such a terrible experience. I held up my end of the contract, kept it clean, drove it within the given miles agreed to, returned it on time with a full tank of gas. Now it's time for your company to make mends and step up to the plate. I will never use uhaul again and spread that message within the network I reside then that spans to millions. This needs to be fixed. I don't want another discount code, obviously that doesn't work, I want a full refund. Immediately. Seeking legal counsel for the extremity of disservice and lack of service.LUKE S.

The 1296 Anderson Highway location was great. Friendly clerk and helped explain everything. The central scheduling office however did a poor job during the scheduling process and had actually changed my pick up location without notifying me.Derek S.
