Your policy of not renting truck for more than a 24 hour period is redicilous. It made our moving experience extremely difficult. It does not take 7 hours for 2 people to make a 4 bedroom house. I think you may want to reconsider that policycarolle L.

Don't allow a customer to rent a truck at a location saying its available to be rented on a one way trip and then force the customer to find out the truck needs to be returned back to the location and charge the customer more money for the trip back to the location (the location being 31 miles away)Robert G.

The truck was so dirty, had zero oil in it, when renting a truck I expect it to be cleaned and well maintained, and especially sanitized during all this covid, I am very disappointed that none of the above was done. The staff was very nice. But the condition of the truck was beyond poor.Crystal G.

Have the stuff ready at the location they order online instead of telling the customer they have to travel way out of there way to get the haul truck on the day they need to move there furniture etc.. also being charged for something extra on my credit card that I cancelled plus extra charges which isn't right .. very very disappointedPatrick G.
The vehicle was fine . The prices were fine. However the service was lacking. The agent never left his desk the entire time I was there except to come out to tell me I had left a window down on my personal vehicle which was appreciated. He never came out to the vehicle when I picked it up or when I dropped it off. Customer service is lacking and I personally have been in the customer service industry for over 45 years so I think I know what to except.Tim W H.
The person I dealt with was very hard to understand and even though I specifically repeated what he told me numerous times to double check that I knew what I had to do, he gave me the wrong information. That's frustrating when you have people waiting to help move you and then a specific time you have to be at the new place by. His instructions were not even close. The office was not open as I was picking up early. Someone else showed up and had nothing positive to say about this person in the office either. I am sure that a lot of business is lost because Of this person. I will only go in to buy boxes I need for my move from the person that works weekends. Very disappointing experience.Kerri D.
I had reserved a truck for Calgary months in advance. Little did I know that a reservation with UHaul is more a list of your hopes and dreams not an actual reservation in the traditional sense. No one at UHaul during my previous phone calls had explained that you may or may not get your truck on moving day. We had to drive an hour to pick up our truck only to find the battery dead. We ended up needing a trailer on moving day. Another location secured a trailer at yet a different location but when we got there it was gone. If choosing UHaul be warned!Joe S.

I reserved a 10ft truck, I had no choice but to leave with a 26ft truck. And those take way more gas. Uhaul let's me down every time I make a reservation. I hate using them.katrina emmy N.
It took 3 days for the truck to be processed that I returned it which then caused a delay on my return of deposit. I was told by the person working my refund would be over 45$ And I got the receipt saying I was getting 18 dollars and I was charged per kilometre that I drove which was only in town and was supposed to be a set rate! I also was never told about the promotion for new customers the day I went. I purchased a locker for 1 month and a truck rental. I went in the next day to return truck and ask about promotion and there I was told I have the next month free for storage which I do not need! I would have preferred the free truck rentallinda L.
The pick up and drop off process was terrible. There was only 1 person working - and it was very busy being the first Saturday of the month. The person working was very flustered and was having a hard time getting everyone set up. I am not sure if the system was slow or if he just was not properly trained. We had a 10am pick up time and it took just shy of 1 hour to get our truck. He has a hard time navigating the system for sure - took awhile to even find our reservation. Drop off was also a headache as we came back to drop off our truck at the scheduled time of 4:00pm and no one was even in the office - a note said back in 15 minutes - so we waited and he did not get back until 4:30pm. So frustrating when we made sure we were back on time. He was again very flustered and was having issues with the system. Just very disappointed - there should be more staff on the weekends, especially at the beginning of the month. He was also not wearing a mask at pick up or drop off and did not wipe down the debit/credit machine one time even after multiple people used it at the time of pick ups.michael H.

We were charged an extra days fee for dropping off the truck. The truck ran out of gas due to there not being enough gas for the trip hence the late delivery. My poor mother in law had to drive me 40 minutes so I could buy a jerry can and fill it with gas so I could return the truck. If this is standard practice to hand someone a rental vehicle with not enough fuel for the trip I call that price gouging. It was extremely frustrating and the lady we spoke to in strathmore was less than accommodating. One star given because the truck was awesome. Will not be using uhaul ever again.andrew L.

I had booked furniture pads and a furniture dolly on my rental, both items were not available at that location nor did she offer bubble wrap as an alternative. The back of the truck was full of dirt, so much dirt you could see foot marks. The least she could do is sweep it.Ryan D.

1. The website allowed me to reserve a trailer that wasn't at the site I requested. So UHaul had to call me and change the location and the trailer available. 2. The reservation was for 9 am, but the site wasn't open until 10 am so I had to waste 1 hour waiting for it to be opened. 3. No where in the reservations did it say the deposit was 60$. Yes it was returned when I brought back the trailer but how about a warning? 4. The trailer had a broken plug. At least the admin on site had a replacement because there were no other trailers.Jason L.

The truck was not fully functional, the hood latch was broken, therefore the fluids had not been topped up, and the drivers side wiper was not functional. On a slushy day, it made for a very unsafe drive. The staff at CWSS Strathmore failed to do a pre-trip inspection with me.Richard W.

Cargo part was not cleaned out when i got it. When i got to my destination to load I had to sweep it out before i could load it. I was unable to get a Uhaul van closer to my destination which led to me paying more for kms and gas. when i drove by the cereal location there were 2 of the units that i was looking for there. I know a return is not revenue generating but the gentleman that I met with seemed disinterested in providing any help beyond giving a receipt for the return which I guess is OK. I asked where he wanted the dolly dropped off and he motioned to an area of the lot but did not assist even with backing into the area or unhooking. Perhaps the fellow in Winnipeg set the bar so high with his service that I was expecting helpful friendly service instead of being an interuption of his day and a short delay on him going on his break. If the place opens at 11 AM I thought a break at 12:15 already a little odd.robert S.

Overall experience this time with uhaul was poor. Reserved the truck on Thursday for Saturday morning. Never received a call from uhaul Friday so I called and found out I was booked to pick up a truck a 6 pm when I requested 9 am. Also wrong size of truck was reserved. I ended up having to pay more because of the size of truck I needed was unavailable. I was to pick up the truck in Langdon and return in Strathmore but when I received notification that my truck was due back it asked to be returned in Langdon again. My request initially was very straightforward but somehow kept getting screwed up. I was also told that since I couldn't pick up a truck in Strathmore that I wouldn't have to pay the mileage from Langdon to Strathmore which I see I have been charged for. Experience with uhaul was extremely chaotic which people do not need while they are going through a stressful move anyways. The lady at the Strathmore location was very pleasant and helpful and was trying to get me a refund for the dirty truck and that I ended up paying for a bigger truck which I did not need to which she was unsuccessful with uhaul. I would not recommend anyone using uhaul in the future. Take more trips with a pickup truck...its not worth the headache dealing with your company.Lindsay H.

The staffer was approachable and respectful, the truck was in very good condition and ran well. My only issue was when I tried to put a lock on the back door to secure it. I discovered that someone had cut a part of the latch off so I couldn't secure the door with a lock. Apart from that, it was a pleasant experience.Michael H.
