I told the guy and he said so put some gas in it that had to be at least 20 other 10 foot trucks and he gives me one that’s on empty and tells me I need to put gas in it. I do not understand that concept. How does somebody return a truck that’s empty and if they paid for the gas, the company doesn’t put that money into the truck???? Also, when I tried to explain, the guy gave me an attitude and tells me I always complain when I go there

Julio PU-Haul charged me for one extra day because the app didn’t work properly and skipped the information with return address and return instructions and because I thought that my rental is one way I brought it to another location on October 15th. Two hours later the representative at 58 Locust Ave told me wrongly that he sent the car away and it took me 4 phone calls and 2 personal visits to two different locations to find out where the van is so I can bring it back to the right location. The manager declined my request for a refund for the extra day. I state that this was outrageously bad customer service. Uhaul has serious technological issues with the app misleading me at the moment of pick up and return. And with third party representatives who don’t care and disinform the customers.

RONALD PWhen I returned the van to Uhaul, I asked the Uhaul staff if it was full of gasoline when I picked up the van. He did not check the record and replied unpolitely that "I did not know ". I had to pay cash to put the gasoline in, but it didn't stop at about $60. I stopped at $59.65. I only drove less than 90 miles, and there is no possibility to pay about $60. I think that the Uhual's employee has very poor attitude and is not worth recommending.

Didier PRented an appliance dolly that I was told to get out of a closet inside gas station and load it into the truck I’d rented. I assumed part of the service would include having the dolly placed inside the truck I was assigned. They are awkward and not light. Otherwise, attendants were helpful and check in/out process was easy.

JORGE Qthe inside of the van was truly disgusting - didnt look like it had been cleaned in the last month. there was trash including discarded food, an iphone case, grime, stickiness and condoms.... in the driver/passenger doors. this truck was a health hazard.
Erika BI was surprised by how rude / unfriendly / mildly hostile the staff was at the pickup location. The employee was short with me straight off the bat. After I signed in, he handed me the keys to a truck that had a nearly empty gas tank and three out of four shattered rear view mirrors. He then instructed me to fill up the tank while I was there - something I've never needed to do when I pick up a U-haul. Before I could fill up the tank, I showed him the shattered mirrors and he argued with me that they "aren't THAT broken". I told him it's unsafe/illegal and asked him for a different truck. Then he switched to telling me that it's the only truck available even though there were at least five identical trucks parked next to it. He left me standing there in the parking lot in the middle of our conversation. I got back in line prepared to bail on the whole rental. By the time I got to the front of the line, he magically handed me the keys to a different truck with working mirrors and a full gas tank without any sort of apology or explanation. I wonder if he was purposefully giving me a truck with damage so that I could be charged for the damage upon return. I can't think of any other explanation for how bizarre the interaction was, and how easily it was rectified once he realized that he had been "caught". It left me feeling worried that I could be overcharged or blamed for something when I returned the truck. I'm not usually a very suspicious person, and I rarely ever write bad reviews, but I wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone.
ANDREA EThe battery of the van just died after parked it after driving only a mile, and when the roadside assistance popped the hood to check the car, there was a dirty rag in there.

MUQING LThis location shares a site with an Exxon which makes it extremely convenient to refuel and return the vehicle. However, it is evident that the Exxon is taking advantage of this convenience by charging 30 cents more per gallon on gas when compared to several other stations within a few blocks. But I did appreciate having the gas staton attendant knowing exactly how much gas to add to get it back to the original level of the rental.
Peter CThe U-haul crew at DDAR/Exxon on Luis Munoz Marin Blvd in Jersey City was friendly and helpful. Pickup and drop-off were quick and easy. I will use them again if I need a truck in the area.
Gordon MWhen I tried to pick up the truck at Jersey City , the staff there don’t know how to read the receipt and told me my truck is not here and I should go to Edison to pickup. I insisted that the pickup location is here and we argued back and forth for several turns. Then they realized their mistake and said “that’s what happened if you order online”

Shamuel AThere was one guy who came to us while we were dropping the cargo van. He checked the van and the fuel gauge, and said the gas tank is not full. We told him and showed him the receipt that we just filled up the gas and it's full tank. He started arguing and need $3 or more for gas. I was like I just filled it up. Because I used for just a few miles, he was shocked and hence kept saying the gas tank is not full etc . It was kinda rude and shady of him to talk like this. Will definitely be mindful of how to deal with such idiots.

JAMES XI was concerned that there is no parking on site for people driving to the Rental Location who need to leave their car and take the UHual. I had to find parking and walk back to pick up my rental. Having a designated area for renters to leave their cars would be ideal.

CLAIRE CThis location is just in a tough spot because of the traffic nearby and a small lot. It's a super high traffic area and returns were coming in fast and furious. The guys working there were swamped and were as helpful as could be given the circumstances. They were doing what they could with high volume in a small space.
