I have my pickup scheduled for 10:00am. The place was suppose to be open for 9:00am. When I arrived at 9:55am. The shop was still closed and the roller doors were still down. I waited until 10:10am before contacting Uhaul. The agent on the line informed me the owner was 3 mins anyway. He did not arrive until 10:27am. It then took him about another 5-8 mins to turn everything on. He asked me if I had the code for the keys. To which I replied no, I chose to do counter service but I had already completed the online check in. He said oh then why don’t you have the code. I told him I didn’t choose 24/7 mobile pickup. I have to get the keys from you. He checks me in again. When I had already completed online check in. He fumbles putting in my information and had to retype everything twice. And then had some sort of issue with a previous return to which he had to call his coworker about. While I’m waiting for him to process my pickup I’m now waiting for him to deal with something else not related to me. His system is super slow and he didn’t know what he was doing. Mind you there’s a line forming behind me. And he’s talking to customers behind me instead of dealing with my situation. Finally we get it processed and shows me to the truck. I get in and the gas tank is basically on empty. He said it’s fine just fill it back to where the tick it at. Mind you I’m already late almost an hour late from my pickup time. So now I have to stop to get gas before I can even arrive to my place to move. Usually the gas tank is suppose to be filled to at least 1/4 full. And I’m suppose to return it with 1/4 full after using it as per the contract. How is that fair that I have to pay for the extra gas I did not use to return it. And if I don’t I get charged $30. But I’m already so late to meet my movers I have no choice but to go move on. I end up going over 45 mins over my move out time renting the elevator to which I’m being charged for since I had to wait almost an hour getting the truck. I return the truck and the guy can’t be bothered to move the truck to the back and asks me to do it. Feeling sorry for the guy since he’s the only one working I do. Then has the nerve to ask me to help him move the blankets back inside the store. Being the nice person I am I do despite the crappy service I’ve received. He stacks 6 blanket that were the closest and tells me to grab the other 6 that were further in the truck. Annoyed, but still choosing to be the better person I oblige and climb into the truck and whilst getting down the ledge was wet and I slip off the truck and almost hit my head. Luckily my friend was there to catch me, but I scrapped up my leg and hands and bruised pretty badly. My hands still sting 3 days later. Quite possibly THE WORST SERVICE I have ever experienced and DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Don’t waste your time or money here.
