Make the mobile return EASIER for people that are not tech savvy! It's not an simple task! Folks are already stress out from moving they just want to return it and go . This brand new van I had a broken air conditioner and it was 90Â°. The owner of the location did not want to change it or even seem to care about the issue.KENRICK M.
First thing I rent a $29.99 15 feet and truck for 24 hours, received the truck dirty with dirty water in the front on the floor back was not the cleanness either but I too photos, upon return I wash the box of the truck only used it for moving furniture and they charged me $25 for cleaning - lie, also charge my card $110 and I dont know what for! it just does not make sense.ONICAA R.

I booked a van for my move, and I choose the 24/7 option that's wonderful. However, when I arrived, I started the check-in process, everything going well. when the app showed me the photo of the van I located it and everything was parked perfect. Proceed to get the key in and then the problem starts, I took the key and went to start the van, but the key belonged to another van that was parked behind the other vans making access impossible. I called support and no one helped me, they told me they couldn't do anything since I had the key. I explained everything that happened and I just wanted to cancel and not be hired for anything. But nothing was done in my favor. I then left the key in the return box and completed the process. I highly recommend this place!Abdon M.

'My location was changed and I was not notified. When I called customer service and the scheduling department, I received terrible customer service from UHAUL (Not Dave's, dave's was great). The UHaul representative said "It sounds like you don't want this truck, should I cancel it so someone else can have it?" When I had explained to him I was moving from NYC to Ohio. The changed location was difficult for me to access when I was already experiencing a stressful move. In general, I would not recommend UHaul to anyone ever again.Hannah T.

I went to That location expecting to be helped by someone. He man at the counter told me to get the keys from a locked box, by unlocking with a code. I did not received any code in any email or txt msg. About 20 mins later while I was still on the phone trying to get a unsullied customer service employee to help me, another guy comes in from the Dave's Fifth Ave station hands me the keys of the truck. The lot owner didn't help at all even with answering a question, 2 of the agent that was supposed to help me get approved just completely ignored me and closed the window at me , I provided with more than 5 numbers for them to call and verity me my brother and also my aunt said it was only an voice mail message they did not receive no call, it took me hardly about an hour or so to get out of that parking lot in a super hot day, and I think the 2 agents that didn't help me did not care at all worst experience of it allMagdi A.

You need to make it clear that a counter check-out is not available. My friend was trying to pick up the truck for me in Mount Vernon, NY. He does not have a smart phone. I had requested a counter pick-up, but then the morning of the reservation, I was informed that the counter pick-up would not be available. My friend could not access the truck. I had to drive 25 miles, from Brooklyn to Mount Vernon, NY, in order to pick up the truck, then drive it back to Brooklyn. Then I had to pay a $20 fee because my friend could not return it by checking out with someone at the counter. It was awful.Altie M.

Since it was a self rental, the workers were no help. When I picked up the truck, it was an almost 30 min wait while I "waited for approval". Returning the truck was even worse. I drove 3 miles and they tried to charge me over $4000 saying that I drove over 2000 miles (in 45 min). It ended up getting resolved thru email but it was extremely time consuming. I'd rather rent from a site with workersShawan M.

The truck was very dirty like It was used for landscaping, I had to sweep and use the mats I rented to cover the floor of the truck instead of my furniture. I used mattress cover but I think the corner unwrapped and got it dirty.Antonio C.

This UHAUL location 263 S 5th Avenue Mount Vernon, Ny 10550 is THE WORST UHAUL LOCATION EVER to rent from. I had a scheduled pick up for 3pm and the guy arrived at 3:40pm. By this time quite a few other people came in to pick up their UHAUL. The guy at this location is not to be trusted. Do not TRUST HIM OR ANYONE AT THIS LOCATION not even the elderly man. I told them that the van was dirty and wanted to switch but the elderly guy who gave me the van said â€œthey all are dirtyâ€. The van had dog hairs all over and the odor was the smell of dirty dogs, extremely offensive. I also mentioned to the guys that the mileage was incorrect. The mileage on the 9' van did not match my paperwork. They said it's fine don't worry about it. They mentioned that they were aware and continued with the other customers. When I returned the vehicle they charged me for 129 miles. The owner refused to give his name which I believe is Dave. Nonetheless they overcharged my debit card. They advised that I contact UHAUL because they could not do anything. Also called UHAUL and spoke with Rebecca at 8008431867 and she told me that a manager would get back to me. Of course no one called. I will be contacting the authorities and the media to help me get my refund! This is totally unacceptable!Georgette M.

This location and service is just perfect for my needs. He does not have that fraudulent income raising sign in his office saying to bring back truck dust free like your other agent at 114 mt Vernon ave, mt Vernon ny. I took back truck broom clean and was NOT charged $50 like your other fraudster at the other address which I will never go back . I have also gone to another location at beechwood ave in new Rochelle and there were no signs for $50 cleaning fee.dennis H.

Location is advertised as a full service gas station. Pulled up to a pump and was met by an employee. When informing him I would like to pay for the gas myself prior to returning it he stated they no longer sell gas and said it was too late . The employee then recorded the mile and fuel information and brought me inside. I was then told the difference in fuel (25 miles) would 'probably' be $10 and I was charged that amount.
