Dirty inside and out, old 70' service station. Truck was filthy on the inside cab, outside was also dirty. Inside storage area was dirty.Truck had low tires on right front and right rear, asked it he had a gauge and air compressor, he didn't have either. He said call the 1-800 number. Showed 1/4 tank of fuel, drove it off the lot and the low fuel light came on. Furniture blankets was dirty and not folded. The car hauler trailer had a tire strap almost torn off. He couldn't get my reservation to come up on the computer, could not print anything. I was there over an hour trying to get this truck and trailer. This was not the location I had picked on my on line reservation. I would not recommend this location to pick up your uhaul. I had to call the roadside service Friday night before I could load my truck. Nail in the right front tire and a screw in the right rear tire. Both were repaired. This truck was rented/sent out unsafe. I was driving it for over 600 miles. U-haul gets a failing grade “F†of course I have pictures for my record. The Roadside Service truck gets an “A+†rating, they were great.

jeffery W.The man was doing sexual jokes toward me and my sister. Calling the printer a woman because it wouldn't work. Then telling us when he was younger he could take both of us. But he will just have to leave one behind. He made us feel very uncomfortable. After we had to drive a hour and half away for this uhaul.
Angela S.Location was filthy, unorganized, he couldn't even print out a copy of the rental contract and asked me to just take a picture of the contract from the computer screen! He called us and told us that we couldn't pick up the truck until 7:30am and then he didn't show up until 7:45am. The hours posted on the web site say this location was open at 7am! He called and told us that there were no furniture blankets and that he didn't have any. So I called the scheduling managers number that was given to me by the Reservation number and was told that we had to drive to Winchester (over an hour away from where we were the day before our move!) We needed the blankets so I HAD TO THEN coordinate with MY FRIEND who was coming from Clear Spring MD to help us move to get the blankets we needed from HAGERSTOWN, MD (they were awesome there). We had booked AND ORDERED this OVER 3 WEEKS IN ADVANCE! To top it off when we picked up the truck and opened the back there were in fact blankets in the back but they were FILTY! Also, we had ordered a utility dolly and they gave us an Appliance dolly! Which IS NOT what we ordered. We did not have ANY appliances to move only BOXES. Therefore we ordered a UTILITY dolly. We could not and did not use the appliance dolly and it ended up being a hassle as it was in the way and we were not able to use it at all. Additionally, the truck only had 1/4 tank of fuel! We ended up bringing the truck back with more fuel than what we picked it up and we were told at drop off that we couldn't be reimbursed for the difference of fuel! The truck should be rented with a full tank of gas not 1/4 tank. When a person has a long distance move it makes it difficult to gauge the fuel consumption—not customer friendly at all! It's easier for the customer to make sure that the tank is full upon return. The ONE positive thing is that the truck ran beautifully and was in decent condition. Frankly I'm very glad as the customer service end was VERY STRESSFUL and DISAPPOINTING. Moving households is stressful enough and the incompetence of your representatives multiplied this STRESS greatly.
Sharol P.This place said hours 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday. It is not manned at all. I could not get the hitch off by myself and if my 85 year old mother was not with me to pull the hitch release I would not of been able to get the trailer off the ball hitch by myself. I have a total shoulder reacement and never expected no helpnon the drop off end. I called the uhaul number and they could not get a hold of anyone either. When I started to explain my problem of not being able to get the hitch off they hung up on me. This place should not be a uhaul location. I used the remote drop off site but the 4G data was so bad it (slow) in that location it took over and hour to complete thecremote drop off stuff from the link. Not what I would expect from uhaul. I also tried to drop off day before it was due back but no one ever answered the phone. So I did not take it in.

Michael Edward M.I was charged for extra milage when I did not too go out of the way at all. Either the mileage was recorded inaccurately or there was not enough mileage allowed. I will disrupt dispute that charge with my credit card company.
Bryan W.Truck share is terrible. We rent a 26' u-haul almost once a month and never have we ever been able to successfully complete a truck share pick up without incident. It is extremely frustrating to have to call, be placed on hold only to be told the truck I've reserved is not available. I wish there were other options in my area

When I got there it was if I was starting from scratch. U-Haul didn't even have me picking up at Dave's but at some other location. ??? I definitely specified Dave's because I had done business there previously.

Joseph C.Only game in town -- and the proprietor was certainly friendly and helpful. However, this is an old style auto repair shop. It's certainly inviting, what with all the clippings from the local newspaper on the walls, but neat and tidy it is not. That's just not a priority. Also, if you're picking up from here, be sure to reserve in advance. Not much selection, otherwise.
Alyson R.Dave's Exxon was great. My only issue was that somehow two dolleys showed up on the invoice that I did online and I don't remember renting them at all. I already had a utility dolley at home and again, I paid $14 on the bill for something I did not order but other than that, a seamless transaction.

Layne D.While Dave was ABOVE reproach and VERY PERSONABLE, the U-Haul looked clean, but was FULL OF ROACHES. We had to spray and use a FOGGER to exterminate the truck for hours before we were able to load it. The trucks should be checked for bugs, etc. and dealt with before renting. Thanks.
