I feel like I was ripped off in my rental. While the truck itself was in good working condition. The mileage and gas on the contract was incorrect. I did use the app to log my trip thinking it would correct it and it did not. I put in the amount of gas I used and was still charged $35 for gas. If we use the app and people are not going to go to the vehicle to verify information prior to putting information on the contract the pictures we take should be good enough. In traveling less than 20 miles, there is no way I used 10 gallons of gas. The three I put in prior to returning and the 7 I was charged for. Improvements in the area of customer service and verifying accuracy can be made.Debra S.

The staff were friendly and efficient. The truck was ready They didn't have the full range of U Haul products like TV packages but I did have the opportunity to ask beforehand as my pick up location was changed due to the availability of the correct sized truck .Marilyn S.

I returned the vehicle at 2:55pm and left the keys on the table in the office as told when I picked it up. They have shown the return time as 3:45 and charged me an extra day rental. I'm disgusted at this. I haven't spoke to the location yet but I will first thing.Paul J.

Gave me a truck with holes in the roof, bald front driver tire also had side wall damage, needed an oil change, steering column off center made it difficult to drive next to semis. The list goes on an on. This truck was not highway ready and should have not been rented out.JAMIE JOHN W.

I picked up the vehicle and the floorboards were covered in dried mud, and then when I dropped it off it had the same gas level as when I picked it up and they lied and marked it as less gas and charged me.mark L.
Network Down, wasn't able to check out with staff I had to call CS and my experience wasn't pleasant either with CS, he kept assuming I needed a smaller vehicle, he based it on where I'm moving, I had to take multiple trips and he had told me it would be .25 cents for additional mileage, instead I was charged for .79 which is a huge difference in price range, what I was quoted wasn't honored, very unsatisfied with my experience today, I will make sure to hand this over to BBB and google reviews.Juan M.

Would tell customer not to drop key in drop box until truck return has been completed. Was unable to process return because we were not aware that we needed mileage and other info out of truck before we could do truck return online. Just another way for Uhaul to make another 20 or so dollars from customers - very poor customer service and will not be doing business with them again for their shady business practices.Richard B.

I felt very the advertised cost vs actual cost was very misleading. I called Uhaul.com to extend my reservation and was still charged an after-hours fee. Advertised price of $20 (obviously figured there would be some additional charge to that)....final bill was $101 PLUS the $12 in Fuel spent by filling up before returning. No, would absolutely not recommend to a friend, or replicate. Personal service level (both at the location and over the phone) was very good though.blake O.

My initial reservation was for 9am at one location however the truck wasn't even there so I had to call and get a different location. Overall it worked out. I've used your company a few times and always had good experiences so this was a little disappointing, but it happens I guess.Krista E.
The UHaul application for the phone was difficult to use, especially with sign in verification, needing to close the app and then getting gmail to see the verification code.... trying to take pictures and then upload... spent 30 minutes trying and then gave up. Service manager was great, van, equipment and blankets were spotless. Thanks.Jackson C.
dual lock box location is confusing especially located on opposite sides of the building - very frustrating. Truck failed to have appliance dolly and blankets as ordered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dear h-hal good afternoon my experience was not satisfactory I am a resident of a U-Hal store and I am always very well attended to 2781 MacArthur Blvd Lewisville Tx In this location, the system only provided a 26-foot truck for The Colony store. I booked and at the agreed time I went there to receive the truck. they didn't have 4-wheel dolly available and they sent me to another store to add 29016610 to the same contract. they also didn't have the pad blankets for packing furniture. I went to another store and said they couldn't add to the contract or rent the equipment separately from a truck. had to buy bo walmart two 4 wheel dollys and bubble wrap roll for packaging. $ 86.00 loss. dissatisfied. The customer service was not good. I returned the equipment and was charged for an extra day. I have been calling both places and uhaul to resolve the issue. The issue is still not resolved. I will never rent here again.Felisha B.

Everything I ordered online was ready to go when I came to pick it up. I was running a little late on the pick up time so I called customer service to let them know I would be arriving 45 minutes later. Everything worked out perfectly. I think the only thing I can think of to maybe improve anything is to simply SMILE ..a hello or something when a customer comes in??. I walked into this place and up to the counter with three gentlemen there. No one said anything. So I introduced myself and I just told them why I was there and my name. I will say that the process was rather quick and I was in and out in no time. Drop off was ok, "just leave your keys on the counter". But no "thank you...have a great day..see ya next time, etc". I ended up thanking them instead but still 'crickets'. Maybe everyone was just in 'deep thought' or something? Am I expecting too much in business transactions? The online mobile pickup option still required me to go to the front counter of the location rather than getting a code to the key box, even though I selected the mobile, contact-free option. The front counter rep even went to the key box to get the Key?! Not sure why I had to go talk to him. He didn't do anything extra on the computer and even said â€œoh everything was done online and ready to go.â€ Who knows.. Other than that, everything was smooth and the van worked great (new ford van, VERY fuel efficient and didn't guzzle fuel down like older vehicles). The drop off was very easy; after sending a few photos of the cab, cargo area, odometer, fuel gauge, and where I parked it, I was given a code on the mobile site to put the key back into the drop box. I will continue to use U-Haul for my moving vehicle needs.Shawn R.

This location did not get me a dolly or my half dozen of pads. When I called and inquired about it, the gentleman informed me that â€œit is my responsibility to make sure all the equipment I ordered is in the truck..â€ I had to go to another location and pick up the dolly and pads thus paying for the milage as well, because I didn't receive what I ordered. I do not believe that it is my responsibility to make sure I got what I payed for, everything ordered should have been in the truck ready to go.Remato C.

The owner David is a rude prick, no just to customers but also to his staff. The truck was not cleaned and the tire on the truck was bad. I'm just blessed we made it across states safely considering the condition of the truck. I would have preferred another location where when help was needed with understanding an issue, they would take their time an explain with consideration and not just shut the customer down with policies.Monique H.

You guys charge me for dolly which it wasn't there, I had conversation with 2 representatives and they said they took car of it but it was still on the bill. And so I put another comment about the dolly after I return the truck but yall ignored me. Worst horrible terrible service at all. In addition, I made reservation from 9 am, and I picked up the truck all most at 10am because of the stupid automated system which was very poor. Am I gonna use Uhaul in the future? The Uhaul point of contact had been laid off. Check in with the phone and app didn't work. Even after calling corporate and being on phone for 1 hour and transferred 3 times the location finally manually checked me in and caused me an hour delay and stress in my move.Rhett M.

My problem was not with the location as much as the truck itself. The staff were friendly, helpful, and speedy getting me processed. The problem was the cab of the truck. I found three empty plastic bottles, snack wrappers, old receipts, a full sized Bible, and the previous drivers full set of private keys on the dashboard. I had to clean all this up and wipe some dried Coke off the seats before I returned it and I didn't even make this mess. Maybe a little more attention to detail after previous drivers return equipment.Bryan H.

This location made the pickup process slow and difficult. We asked the person manning the front desk for help, and he said he wouldn't be able to help or his manager would yell at him. After telling us he couldn't help, he proceeded to ask us multiple questions that were irrelevant and a little nosy. Then he attempted to guide us through the online check-in process but only made things more difficult. Overall, U-haul vehicle was clean and ready for use. However, I would not recommend renting from this location.Nolan B.

The procedure to complete the pickup is horrible and prompts me to look for another rental truck company. The location personnel were great, the problem is Uhaul. I opted for the smart phone reservation but had no idea how to use it at the location so went inside to ask for help. They then redid the reservation as if I was a walk-in customer which involves taking a picture of my license and sending it over a text message, not secure and stupid since I am standing in the lobby of the Uhaul dealer with my license, who still needed to type in information from the card. I find if I had used my smartphone I needed two means of identification, on top of my license, such as a passport or lease agreement, to get the truck. I have used Uhaul for over forty years but this will be the last time with all the crazy, unnecessary, unsecured and time wasting procedures. I would recommend that Uhaul executives rent one of their trucks themselves and see how they like the process and decide if they would prefer another company themselves.Craig Y.
