This location is great! It's obvious where it is from the road due to all the UHauls parked there. Moreover, it doubles as a service station so you can fuel up right before you return it and not get hit with any gas charges. The personnel are all very helpful. One note: we did a mobile pickup/truckshare, and had to return it via that method. However, the location we picked up from locks their rear doors, and requested we put the lock back on, even returning to a different facility. While we received the password in the app, apparently UHaul doesn't provide that information to the receiving Uhaul location. The rep had to chase us down the street to get the passcode. UHaul corporate needs to up their tech game.

They didn't have the right 9' truck that I booked and I had to pay $2/hr instead of $1.09/hr on top of greater insurance cost. Disappointed to pay $95 to use the Uhaul for less than 2 hrs to only take 7 boxes to the train station. When I got to the station, I was also told that my booking was canceled despite having called the morning of to confirm the appointment at noon. May use another service after this experience.

U-Haul offers an App for use when renting one of their vehicles. Unfortunately, the people physically located at the locations actively choose to discourage you from using the app, and actually lie to you. Please be VERY wary when going to the location - U-Haul “Corporate” seems fine, but I’m guessing that the individuals located on premises are incentivized to extract as much $$ from you as possible! NOT a good situation.

The gas mark wasnt at the mark I was made to be agreed on. It said 3/4. But the actual marker was at 5/8. I didnt fight it then coz I was in a hurry and didnt felt like the staff would help anyway.

I technically didn’t get my Uhaul from the first location on 5:30pm Wednesday, and I returned it by 5:30pm Friday. Yet still charged for an extra day fee, which doesn’t make any sense to me. Also charged a cleaning fee, but I don’t see why the truck needs to be cleaned when I had swept it myself.

This was my first experience with U-Haul and it was awful. I rented a van, which was bigger than expected. Within 40 minutes after realizing it would not fit in the needed space, I went back to ask to exchange for a different vehicle. The worker took my keys and told me "No, you have to rebook." And seemed very smug. I couldn't even get the keys back to the vehicle to try to make it work somehow for the 24 hours I paid for it for. I thus rented elsewhere. Disappointing.

Convenient location. When I first arrived the sales clerk quoted me a higher price - after I showed him the reservation he got defensive and adjusted the price to match the reservation. Avoid this practice. It makes the transaction dishonest and impact the U-Haul brand.

Van had dirt in the back. The clerk, who had a lot of attitude, insisted on processing my check in even though I had already checked in online, refused to change the credit card entered on the account, and tried to up-sell me on services, and changed the order to charge me approximately $40 more. Very poor customer service! When I received the emailed final charges and saw the increase, I immediately contacted UHaul. It has been more than 2 days and I have not received even an acknowledgement. Very unhappy with this location!

When calling the number listed on your website (201-793-8921) it goes to what seems a private voice mail. I tried 3 times yesterday and same result every time, so might get that fixed

There was no gas in truck, despite saying it had 1/8 tank the empty light was on. The dealer made me buy my own gas. I returned the truck with a quarter of a tank. Warning light was on that tire pressure system was not functioning.

Staff was extremely rude and when picking up they had a hard time communicating what was going on and it felt like they were making a new reservation and took 10 minutes to have them confirm my confirmation number. When dropping off I went to fill gas and a man angrily stormed out and demanded to see paperwork and tried to make me fill it to where the paper said it was filled rather than the true tank amount at pick up, which I had taken a picture showing it was way less than 3/4 tank. Staff then had a hard time explaining costs and making sure I understood the receipt. Really terrible experience

They scammed me out of money, and over charged me. I didn’t find out until I went to my drop off location. Charged me $200 for a trip I found out should have been $29.95+ additional mileage. Picked up truck with 22100 miles noticed the error, contacted them immediately. 11 times I called, with phone proof and a time stamped picture showing the mileage. On Monday I’m contacting U-Haul to formally make a complaint and try to get my money back.

The pickup location changed from what was originally planned, but Uhaul let me know in advance, so this wasn't a problem. The pickup process was fast and efficient, the vehicle was ready when I arrived, and it was clean and in good condition. Text messages before and after the pickup were informative and helpful. A very good experience overall, and returning the vehicle in Washington was also quick and easy.

The man who was to walk me through the truck got busy with other U-Haul customers so I had to show him the gas gauge was not even 3/4 of a tank but he did come and check and explained I should fill it to the same amount/ they were very pleasant just very busy

I could not offload items in truck, because Public Storage closes at 7:30p; so I had to park truck overnight a rate of $50 for the night, The manager Darren Francis was unreasonable, unprofessional & disrespectful to say the lease !

Hello, the place was easy to find but difficult to get to since it’s near the Holland Tunnel so there’s traffic. The owner didn’t introduce himself. A man approached me asking if I was looking for a U-Haul and I said yes. He began to question me and I answered but asked him if he was the owner. He said no but then didn’t say who he was. I asked if he worked here and he looked at me like it was obvious that he does and said “yeah.” He then gave me the keys before I received approval from support. 5 min later another man who also did not introduce himself came up to me and took the keys away from me. I followed him to get guidance and he told me wait for the confirmation page. While I waited the first guy asked if I ordered a dolly and I said yes. He told me he would get it after my approval. I said ok. I waited around 45 min between those two men (who were obviously not communicating with each other)and U-Haul support and lost valuable moving time. Next I got approval, showed the second man who was manning the gas station’s cash register. he took a photo of my phone screen and then handed me the keys. I left the station later than expected and without the dolly. This was not a horrible experience but it wasn’t smooth. Can you please take the dolly charge off my account since I wasn’t able to use it?

I was charged for gas when I returned my van full. The 1st van I was given was the wrong one (my recipe said there was 170 miles (or somewhere around there) but my odometer Said 300 and change. When I pointed this out he charged me for BOTH vans. Very up set.

Uhaul service overall is terrible in terms of changing my drop off location last minute after getting a confirmation of the location of my choosing (which I picked a week in advance). I ended up calling customer service to help me change the drop off location (the customer care representatives were very helpful) but that is the last thing a customer wants to do on the day they are moving into a new house/apartment.There’s a lot of work uhaul needs to do in terms of logistics that serve the customer not the company.

The truck itself was fine but I was not given the blankets and dolly I paid for. I argued these chargers when I was returning the vehicle and was told they couldn't help me because I used the mobile process to check the truck in and out. That is absolutely ridiculous that the location will not help you at all if you use the mobile process. Now I am stuck trying to chase U-Haul corporate to try to be reimbursed. Not helpful at all!

The representative did not read reservation, as betrayed by the fact that he asked questions about item rentals and drop off location (which he ended up switching). He was the only person servicing 5 people, so this appeared to be a staffing issue. Additionally, we ordered 12 mattress pads, but only received 5. The utility dollies all had black dirt on the metal base that, combined with the snow at the time, marked up the boxes and the floors of the place I was moving from after I had already cleaned. The truck was in good condition, at the very least.

I didn't have my receipt as proof but the worker was kind enough to tell me he's not needed. However felt like he was just pushing me away when I kept telling him about the missing dolly and if i was getting money back to it, kept saying "I understand I believe you, it's ok"????

Terrible. I made online reservation and everything was changed. I rented a hand truck and I was told it was guaranteed with my try I but no hand truck. The guy that does the paperwork is an ass.
