Excellent and knowledgeable administrators. The rental and return process were very pleasant and fast. I felt confident that the vehicle was well taken care of and that the paperwork was done without any mistakes that could cause surprise bills.

The pickup and check in was good. However, the drop off was horrible as another guy during the night time (not the one at pick up) tried to hustle me for another 10 dollars for gas even though i returned the van with the same amount gas it came with (at half). He was nagging me the whole time and so I gave him a few bucks which im sure he kept for himself.

Fenton TI expected to have a 20 foot truck never got it; no phone call about not being at that location. I had to make multiple trips because of it. And be charged 100 miles on hold and have to wait 3-5 business days to get my money back. Very poor job.
RAMIR GSince it was our first time renting a car in UHaul, we were not familiar with many of the procedures. However, the front desk staff were particularly impatient and had a poor attitude, which was a very bad experience. They even charged us an extra ten dollars. At first, we thought it was for the mileage fee, but later the bill was sent and charged again

WESLEY A1. The vehicle was in a pathetic driving condition. 2. The ignition key kept getting stuck in the car. 3. The vehicle was not clean when provided. 4. There was barely any gas in the vehicle when it was handed over. 5. I was overcharged for the gas (had to pay for 1.5 gallons of gas while I drove only 7 miles)
ASHISH SIt was easy and affordable - two things I value highly. And the staff were courteous, friendly and helpful! The only improvement I can think of is a rearview video camera on trucks. I rented a U-Haul 10-ft truck in New Paltz, NY and it came with it. It make backing out of a parking lot much easier. Thank you for doing a great job!

MARINA LFirst of all, be honest and ethical once a reservation takes place. It should be only one reservation rather than two or more, to squeeze the customer's account. In my case, my account is my early retirement money. Respect the terms and conditions of the contract agreement, especially if you have provided discounts, you should honor them. If the corporate office says that the manager should provided instructions on where to return the truck, he should do that, he did not. If U-Haul agreed to deliver the truck at $85/day (instead of the van ) on 10/29 at 6:45 PM, you should have done so, you did not, and the manager states that he had no reservation. But he had two reservations when the reservation could have been edited by date and time. The whole ordeal seems to be a personal matter, with added information manipulation to sabotage the customer timeline. And you are liable for this. The receiving manager, however, acted quite professional otherwise and had a very good public relations attitude as opposed to the rather conflicting and greedy delivery manager. You should credit money for the excess level of gas returned. I request a $20 credit for excess of gas. A $36 credit for lack of van availability as in the original reservation. a 13 mile credit resulting for lack of information not provided by the delivery manager when providing the truck. A prorated rate for the 5 extra hours used. The final receipt did not honor the 34 free miles.
Anthony NI had this reservation for about a few weeks. I get there 10 mins before my reservation time of 11 am and I’m told no u-hauls areavailable and I need to wait. I had to wait 40 mins. The people are rude there. I have rent a few u hauls in the past few months and the people there have no personality. I will think twice before going back there.

Mohammed MRecommending the location cause it's close by, and there aren't other choices. On a whole trucks at Uhaul are pretty beat up, and the app always fails. Otherwise things flow pretty efficiently, although it not always super clear cost up front or at check out. These comments are general to all the locations I've use in the last year (maybe half a dozen reservations)
JOSEPH HThe original drop off location was under construction so I had to get the drop off location changed to the next nearby location.
JOHN JThe truck was filthy inside the cab, coffee spilled everywhere, the truck also broke down on me , I was driving and all of a sudden the truck shut off in the middle of the highway i had no chance to pull over i was stuck in the middle lane holding up traffic for 45 minutes . Unacceptable!!

ERICA MTHESE GUYS WERE GREAT!! Very friendly and accommodating! I say this because the original drop off location (that I confirmed with a UHAul rep after I called the location and they were not picking up the phone) - refused to take the truck because they are undergoing construction - the guy at the Holland location was not very helpful - luckily my son knew about the DDAR location - you need to remove them from your list of drop off locations: Holland LLC - 235 12th Street Jersey City, NJ. I went to DDAR and they gladly took the truck.

So easy to get there once I figured out how to get through Manhattan - U-HAUL, you HAVE to do better preparing rental truck drivers how to navigate into Manhattan. NYC DOT says that a truck has commercial plates or has three axles or six wheels. Then there's a sign at the George Washington Bridge that refers to "rental trucks" as being considered a truck - and therefore having to be compliant with truck signs. Still not sure what the right way is.)
Peter NTruck was dirty in the can and had some damage (broken tail light). The right back tire was low and there was an error light on in the truck.
AARON CCustomer service rep at the gas station was surly and on his phone the whole time. The van was clean but had a low pressure tire (front right) which I reported upon return but I am 100% certain will not be addressed. I phoned the call center to ask a question, same surly attitude.

JUAN CTruck had random pieces of metal in the back when we got it. The location was muddy and there was mud inside the truck cab. There was a very long wait and the clerk seemed to struggle with using the self check in app (why the clerk needs my phone for me to do self check in is beyond me).
