The employee was very rude. First truck that was rented to me was a Canadian model that had a broken transmission. Rather than immediately believe me when I said it was broken they insisted I was the one in the wrong. It's fortunate that I stopped across the street and not miles away at the storage facility. Then when I was given a new truck, instead of helping me transfer the items from the old truck, the employee gave me a nasty attitude saying I should go get it myself from the old truck rather than give me another set from the closet. Even if there was no more stock they should have made the effort to get the pads and dolly from the other truck and bring it over while I was still getting the updated rental. Why is it the customers job to fix the truck rentals issues? On return, rather than help me with the check out process they just yelled at me to do the check out myself and left me and others returning rentals to figure it out ourselves. Absolutely non helpful at all. I went to put in gas before return as well at the same gas station on site and rather than be helpful they were very dismissive when I had questions on kind of gas and how to open the gas tank cuz it was stuck.Kenneth R.

I checked in the day before my pickup and when I come, there was no one to help me as it is a 24/7 service. The app asks me to provide 3 phone numbers to verify or lease agreement or passport, which is absurb given that they didn't tell me before end during my checkin at home. I don't have the lease agreement or passport at the time as they required paper versions of these documents even though i had them online. The whole process STOLE HALF AN HOUR of my time. Finally, they didn't provide the furniture dolly and stole me another $14 worth of dolly rental. I'll never recommend anyone to use Uhaul. Bad customer service and user experience. Fee structure is not transparent and you would feel like they're trying to steal you here and there.MinhKhang V.

Man running the counter was rude and generally unfriendly. We fuelled up the car before returning but was still charged a fuel service fee and additional fuel. The uhual is literally located inside a fuel station so there is no reason for us not to fuel it up before returning. Feel cheated by this location.Carson W.

When we arrived the place, our reserved truck was not there, and we were told that previous customer was late. The uhaul representative ushered the f word to me. I was shocked. The dolly I rent was not there as well. Basically, there was only truck, and nothing else! In the end, we were able to get the smaller truck as a resolution. I'll never rent uhaul place ever. this is for U HAUL service, not the location, the location was amazing and supportive, and professional. unlike UHAUL. I have done a check in a week or more before my actual collection. i have declared my driving license is international, nothing was asked of me, when I came to collect the car, I had to go through the process again, and now I have to wait for the approval and asked for my visa to be loaded. why has no one asked before? what company are you? why have I done the online check-in, if I need to do it all again? such a waste of time I lost an hour for nothing, and still had to return the car at 4. I will not use nor recommend this service to anyone, i was upset and this is due to your horrible service, never again.Eldad N.

When I received the keys to the Uhual truck I noticed the the Rear Tire was ver low on air pressure the Gas station were I picked up the truck did not have any air stations or none near by and prior to that situation my first actual reservation was at closer location to me but I had to wait an hour to be helped from corporate after having to make a call I was helped with a truck after an hour later but the location were I had to go was a busy area (Holland Tunnel) and a much further distance, delaying even more time. Very disappointed. I don't like to even do reviews but my only purpose for this review is in hope for a change so the next customer wouldn't have to go through this and have a great customer experience.ANTHONY D.

The person who gave me the keys for the uhaul never checked the vehicle before hand-off, I was given a truck with an empty tank. When asked how am I to drive the truck without gas he told me I have to full the tank. UnacceptableShawn B.

First time renting a uHaul since much of the process was shifted to online self-service. Person at this location wasn't very helpful in explaining how process worked. After completing online process I had to search through all of the inventory on the lot for assigned van rather than them directing me to where it was parked, and initially I was assigned a van buried behind other vans that I couldn't get to. Ultimately required very reluctant support from the person on duty. Also, as an overall uHaul comment, shifting all of the check-in responsibility to the customer (taking and uploading pics) even when the business is open, is a step in the wrong direction for customer experience.Benjamin W.

The first truck didn't even start. The whole self check in was a terrible experience (maybe because we have an out of state license) - uhaul rep wasn't contacting anyone and the online chat kept dropping off. There weren't any dollies to rent at this location even though we added 2 to our reservation (your app should tell the customer which location has / doesn't have equipment). Upon return, we only used 4 miles on a diff truck the gas station attendant gave us (which was reflected in the updated resi), which barely had any gas to begin with, yet, upon self checkout the app was adding a $50 fuel charge (even though it correctly figured out the mileage), so we had to call someone who couldn't help. His advice after 30 min on call was to write a comment to dispute the charge. He said that this error happens often - So please fix it, it's a quick SW fix that saves ppl and your employees a ton of (wasted) time! The movers I found on your platform were complete jokers! They kept changing the time on us, and they lied about the weather conditions (mind you they are only 1 hr away from us) so we ended up canceling their unreliable service. If you care about providing honest and credible movers to your customers, you need take them off the platform (C&B movers). So we ended moving by ourselves since the movers wanted to change the time on us the day of and couldn't even commit to a new schedule stating a massive blizzard in the Bronx while all we had in jersey city was an inch of snow, and normal conditions otherwise. This was unacceptable! Everything that could go wrong with our reservation and Experian e with uhaul, DID go wrong! Hands down, this was the worst experience ever.Michael R.

Mohammed was nice and personable when I was there. I do think that the online self service to drop off the truck is too complicated. I did it with assistance from my older son but it is more for the younger generation. I would suggest having a drop off experience similar to the one I had in Weymouth to pick the truck up with Jonathan. This is more just a comment to corporate UHaul that for older people the whole phone and app drop off experience is a bit daunting. Overall UHaul is great and will rent again!!Richard R.

The person with the keys wouldn't give me the truck for an hour even though I'd already completed express online check-in and tried showing him the confirmation page. He didn't speak English but was very dismissive and just kept telling me to call 1-800 UHaul instead of listening to me or trying to help. The second I called UHaul, explained the situation, had them call the location, and they spoke with him, he laughed knowing he made a mistake and said â€œIt's been ready this whole time.â€ Completely horrible experience picking up the truck, and I ended up getting it an hour later than my reservation. Attendants who were there for check in and check out of equipment were extremely rude. I would think there job is to help customers through the process, but instead they act like you are an inconvenience to them. In addition, the truck I rented had the check engine light on and the attendants did care about this either. Finally they tried to double bill me on the hand cart rentals by telling me I needed to pay for before the rental, and then I had to argue to get them to remove the charge from the final bill (as I already paid up front).Patrick C.
