Vehicles are not maintained. The ramp on the vehicle would not close all the way. So had to tie it down. Had such a hard time when driving on express way. The whole steering wheel was shaking the whole time. Unfortunately I was moving and I had all my stuff inside and had no other choice but to keep going. No one was there to meet me for the trailer. The building was locked up. Someone arrived shortly after my arrival to assist me. The trailer has a hole in the fiberglass, the tires were not maintained.William H.
I made a reservation in person a week before the time I needed the truck. When I went in to pick it up, I was told there was no truck for me. I never received any notification about this and the customer service I got was horrible. Nobody tried to help. I have worked in customer service for a long time and to be treated this way during a stressful time like moving was not acceptable. I will never recommend this Uhaul site to any one and have heard since that many people have had bad experiences with them. Not a good way to run a business!!!Cindy L.

The location was supposed to open at 8:00am but no one showed up until 8:45am. I was late for my delivery. It was an auto trailer rental so I couldn't use the mobile app. Then when I returned at 4:00pm, the location was closed already. Horrible experience.William T.

I would rate reservations a zero. I reserved a trailer a month in advance and had to change my travel plans because a trailer was not available the Day I reserved for pickup.James B.
The entire experience was terrible. After 1.5 hours I finally gave up and cancelled my rental. Uhaul app and site crashed or froze up many time causing me to have to start all over. There was a 14 safe drive fee that I did not want or need because my insurance has rental coverage built in. I could not remove the fee so I called in and waited on hold 25 minutes. The person told me the fee was removed, however it was still appearing. The truck images were so bad in the part were I could dispute damage on the truck that I was unable to see clearly. Regardless, the picture that did show up a bit better did not have the damage shown so the pictures were old. Trying to dispute and upload picture failed and froze 3 times. The whole experience was cumbersome and had issues like the freezing and crashing and unneeded fees that were not removable. Also, finally, even when on the phone with a representative from the support line, we got disconnected. They then tried to call my wife, the alternate number. The call with her also got disconnected. I took this whole process to getting the keys for the truck. Truck would not start. All in all, the experience was hideous.Nick B.

What an awful experience, I made the reservation online and the latest pickup time that was offered was 7:30am which makes no sense because it was a contactless pickup that I could make from my phone. Once I check in and open up the truck I find out the dolly that I ordered and was charged for was missing. I call customer service and they tell me to just go to another location, then transferred me to someone else to get a refund and they hung up on me. So now I had to pay for gas/milage on the truck to drive to home depot and buy a dolly cause nobody will help me. When I go to return the truck the guy is unable to take the charge off of my bill and gives me a number to call. I call the number and talk to someone, he says he has to transfer me to a different department and he transfers me to the same phone prompt that I originally called. Extremely disappointed in this entire experience, will not be using Uhaul again.Will Y.
I was suppose to pick up truck at 5pm. Got there at 455pm and they said no one could help me. I called uhaul in desplaines to tell them and they said I had to do online, took 45 min. Truck was dirty on outside and mirror all busted and taped. Very bad experience this time.KATHY C.

Usually I've had no problems with u-haul, in the past experiences. However, this time, even though it was a local move (Des Plaines to Naperville), they wanted me to drop-off the truck at the Pick Up location and to top it off, they mentioned about this only a day before, which pressurized the move-in work, than it already was. I would never ever recommend this place to pick-up the u-haul truck. I never had this problem, when i wanted to move-out between 2 states and this time i am very disappointed.Saantha A.
