Absolutely a mess doing the 24/7 ride share pick up. App did not work for me, cutting into my rental time almost 2 hrs. Also, the app changed the pickup located further away than originally planned causing me more mileage and more money spent. Disappointed as I've been happy with using u haul services in the past. Most likely will not be using u haul services again.

Opening time should be earlier rattan at 9.am some people like to start their day earlier . The app sucks and does not not work properly when tried using it multiple times

The two women who were working the counter were most unfriendly. One was approximately 25 and the other approximately 60. They were very matter of fact. There was nothing warm or inviting. I was instructed to go to the back of the building behind the greenhouse to meet the rep who would provide me the truck. When I spotted her walking over to it, I raised my arm to acknowledge I spotted her and walked over to meet her. At which time, she turned and said no go back to the front. This was stated in an aggressive manner as though she was speaking to an animal not a human being. It's both unacceptable and unprofessional. As a first time customer to this location the way I was treated is not how you attract or retain customers. As the saying goes, “it takes years to gain a customer and seconds to lose one.” Training is definitely needed at this location for any chance at sustainability. Good luck.

My only complaint is I reserved a truck using the online application and my truck should have been ready for me but it was not.

U-Haul App need much improvement for sure, because the Return section was not functioning at step 1 of 5 step, at the picture upload section. It got frozen and the continue button was not enabled to go forward. I lost one hour of my time at the Return location to get the app work so I can return the truck.. The team at this location needs improvement in training their employees on how hand off the truck to customers with proper instruction on how to return the truck and where to park it and location of Drop box. Over rating for this location and the App gets One star.

You have an individual trying to run a post office and a U-Haul center at the same time. Maybe some days that is not a big deal, but by her own admission (she told more than one customer that Saturdays were busy with handling packages and U-Haul reservations/returns when handling customer complaints) standing in line for 40 minutes to access my reserved vehicle would not be considered good customer service. I had reserved the vehicle at a location closer to me, which went through but then had it changed to a new location which changed my timeline and my costs (additional miles) to pick up the vehicle and utilize the moving van. The vehicle did what it was supposed to, and I am grateful for the in-and-around moving option at $19.95 plus but that was forgotten while standing in line!!

Online check-in could of went a little smoother. Had I known we'd need a passport or lease or whatever the third thing was vs having to submit someone's number to approve our rental, and then them thinking it's spam, I would've taken along extra documentation. No fault of DeVoe's. Place was easy to find. Vehicle was clean. Would use this location again.

Only one person doing everything, including postal stuff. People are super nice but need more staff and less wait time. Also the right blinker was broken on the trailer.

The woman at the desk at DeVoe's rainbow Orchard in Clifton Park, NY was rude and snippy. She said we didn't check in online, which we did and had the confirmation text from Uhaul, but she didn't want to see it. It also said we were checked in already on the website. She told us if we had checked in online we wouldn't have had to wait in the physical line to check in. When we asked where we get the keys in the future if the online check in worked and she just kept saying we set up online check in, that's how you set it up. She wasn't even answering the question we asked. My husband has had experiences like this with her in the past. This time I was there to witness, along with the three other people in line behind us. It really wasn't a big deal that we had to check in in-person. She just had to do HER JOB and check us in. Not that hard, takes less than 5 minutes. She just had to be right and made it seem like she was doing is a favor. If the system didn't upload, she could've instead kindly said, she wasn't sure what happened, but she could do it. Simple. Not confrontational. This comes off much nicer than, I don't know what to tell you, it's not uploaded. As if that is our fault.

I would not recommend the online pick up after dark. It is very hard to take selfies and good pictures of your license with low interior light of a car. Then being sure there is no damage to the vehicle with low exterior lighting makes it difficult. Otherwise it was a convenient way to book and get the vehicle.

The straps on this trailer did not hold and kept getting loose and at one point when I realized the car shifted sideways forced me to stop on a busy freeway to find that BOTH straps had come undone. The front edge of the trailer that maintains the rigidity on this trailer flexes, which is why this happened. Hopefully this is only this trailer. The equipment needs to be maintained properly and replaced as needed. Aside from almost damaging or losing the vehicle and causing a horrific accident, it increased my 6 hr trip time by 2hrs.

I was looking for a 4x8 trailer on a days notice and this 5x8 was the only one in the area available. While the lady running the counter was very helpful and accommodating, her lead male helper she handed me off to left the counter area without instruction. I was left wondering if he was bringing the trailer to me or if I needed to pull around somewhere (it was not obvious which trailer I would be checking out). As we passed through the furniture pad area, I asked if we should pickup the pads I had reserved now? No response. Maybe he didn't hear me? While I have rented trailers from Uhaul before and am somewhat experienced in trailering operations, I wished that he had taken the time to talk me through hookup operations, incase I needed to decouple during my use (I did). They offered no instruction. After verifying lights, they handed me the contract, saying I was "good to go." Again, I inquired about my reserved furniture pads and he checked my contract and headed back to the pad area without comment. Again, I was left wondering if I should follow or if he was going to bring them out to me? As we pulled out from the back area, he had the two bags waiting for us. While my overall experience was OK (average), my encounter here could have been improved by the communication of the young man who helped me. The trailer was clean and maintained and served us well. I would rent from this location again.

All of the staff were friendly and helpful. A one stop little shop. I picked up my reservation, as well as some freshly made apple cider donuts! The women at the U-Haul counter was cheerful, despite the long line.

We felt like the employee was insinuating we did something because the mileage was on trip meter instead of odometer reading even after we told Her we didn't touch it. It was like that when we took the truck. She didn't seem to know how to get it back to miles although she should know how to read her equipment It wasn't worth an argument but it did put us off. . The truck itself was fine

There was mouse dropping all over the inside of the back of the truck I had to clean out. Also I books and wanted a pickup at the Rotterdam NY location in Hamburg street but was called a few days later and told I had to drive to the other location to get my equipment. This caused me to go over my miles and have to pay.
