JAMES ATruly the best location for getting a truck. Amazing service at Devon’s Orchard in Halfmoon, NY. Excellent customer service, truck was spotless and ready and all the supplies you need. It’s hard to find good customer service these days so I strongly suggest picking up your next truck and Devoe’s. Plus you can shop for pies and assorted groceries when you are done. FIVE STAR!!!
WILLIAM PMade reservation online; very user friendly & easy to navigate. Vehicle was ready upon arrival; staff person provided a walk through as she explained our responsibilities upon return of vehicle. Upon return , checkout was courteous & expedious. It doesn't get better than that!!! Service was overalll great!
NYDIA SThis location was wonderful and the person who served us was wonderful. The rental process itself was also very easy. My only complaint is that we live in East Greenbush and therefore this location was farther away than others, but those locations did not have a pick up truck. The Halfmoon location was easy to get to, but we had to pay mileage on the pick up and drop off (23 miles each way) which was more mileage than we used during our entire rental. If a truck had been available in Albany, our costs would have been significantly less.

AHMAD WThe truck was in very poor condition, and it felt unsafe to drive. Problems included wobbly steering and brakes that needed a lot of pressure to come to a stop. It has 149,000 miles on it and should probably be retired. The bed of the truck apparently had some liquid leak from a previous renter that should have been mopped, but wasn't. In addition there were a lot of crumbs on the floor of the cab from people eating previously. This is not my main problem. I was charged for 2 gallons of fuel. I rented the truck supposedly with a full tank. I returned the truck, the fuel gauge still read full and my total distance driven was five miles. So how is it that takes two gallons of fuel to go five miles? That would mean that either the fuel gauge is broken, the fuel tank was not full despite the clerk reading it as full when I rented it, the truck only gets 2.5 miles to the gallon which is relatively impossible, or this is a case of fraud on U-Haul's or DeVoe's part. Based upon this experience, I will not be doing business with either U-Haul truck rental or DeVoe's Rainbow Orchards again.

WILLIAM PGreat place to rent a U-Haul. Joy the individual who handles the transaction is professional, polite and very accommodating on scheduling. This is my go-to place for renting a U-Haul truck.
JAMES AThe equipment was clean, however there was a mechanical issue with the truck. The power steering / power hydraulic brake fluid reservoir was low leading to the steering system and brakes not functioning correctly. This was reported on the return

Kozaburo SThe steering wheel had about 3-4 inches of play in it. It was not safe, swerved back and forth the whole trip. I drove it only 32 miles and was charged 1.39 per mile, outrageous. Ended up paying a little over $80 for and advertised $29.95. I was also told there was no smaller truck available but one was sitting there when I rented one and when I returned the larger vehicle less that 2 hours later.

MACK D-*- After Hours drop-off, no personnel was there, used Uhaul app -*- Much different experience than the one I picked up the U-Haul at. Much better area well planned out where to pickup/ drop-off the U-Hauls. Devoes is a much better independent U-Haul dealer than the one I picked up at.
JOSHUA SThe U-haul desk is in a multi-functional shop that sells vegetables, is a post office, and probably delivers a 1/2 dozen other services. I had to get my head around what was going on, but once I did, it was a very positive experience. The two mature women working there are old hands and were very efficient at getting me checked in. They also are keen observers of their customers and clearly sized me up as lacking in knowing what the heck I was doing.....a fair assessment......I felt like I was being guided and judged by my Mom. As my Mom passed away 6 years ago, It felt wonderful....thank you for the memory. I'll be back to get more apples.

THOMAS JI booked on uhaul.com and when I did so it said that a trailer would be available for me at this location. But when I showed up at my scheduled appointment time, I was told that there was not a trailer available for me and that they would call me once one became available. Since I had to leave and come back later, I asked if I would receive a $50 credit since they didn't have a trailer available at the appointed pickup time and I was told no. I thought U-haul guaranteed availability or provides a $50 credit, but that apparently isn't the case at this location. Other than that, everything else was okay. I did eventually get a trailer that day. I may still use this location in the future.

BRIAN PI believe this truck needs a wheel alignment. It was a little hard keeping the trucks direction with the steering wheel. It was "wabbly." Unfortunately I was in a rush and wasn't able to stop and tell Joy.
