No problems with the rental of the trailer.
DAVID HThe person that worked there was rude. I was having trouble with the app and he told me to figure it out. I also said I don't see the truck and he said rudely check out back. I will never use this uhaul site again.
JOEL DI put no for personnel because I dropped off after hours. This parking lot was pretty small. Otherwise this location was fine.
James RGuy is a crook
RODNEY DI had a hard time with the online pick-up. Luckly, there was a guy there after hours and he helped me out. The return is a little weird basically drop it off and drop the keys in a box. I ended up returning the truck with quite a bit more gas in it then when I picked it up. I know i'd get charged if i had returned it with less gas. Do i get a credit for returning it with more gas? Nope, just another way corporate America gets you from both ends.
JEREMY WDropped off via app never seen anyone or the inside but outside small and not much space for a 26 foot truck to be dropped off.
LUCAS RI will not use U-Haul again. I received a phone call at 6:11 PM the day before my reservation. The call left no message and when I called the number back I waited on line for 20 minutes and hung up. When I arrived at the location I requested- they did not have the vehicle I reserved. I had to drive 30 minutes out of my way to pick up a truck.
laurie bHelpful service and good price. Equipment was exactly what we needed.
WILLIAM HHad what I needed. Quick and easy to deal with. Best experience I’ve ever had at a Uhaul
David EEasy n fast
kelsey bWhen we entered the location and began the process, the person helping us said, "Why are you going to [state we're moving to]? All that's there are steers and queers."
Reyna CThe truck I rented was smelly and dirty. It smelled of Tabacco and dog hair and dirt all over the place. The customer service person was not the friendliest, but he got the job done.
melinda rFix your crappy phone app. Long lag times on 5g. Plus, you can't actually check out without going through a barrage of other attempt to sell extra services.
Ann LAlways great service.
Jae BNothing worse than a location that's not open during business hours. Not even in the sticks!
Mark RSince this location closes at 1pm, I was to go on app when I returned the trailer. First question on the app is the location which I entered the zip code. It came up with surrounding area Uhaul locations but not the Grand Ledge location on Jefferson. I typed in ‘Grand Ledge,’ and still no match for location. I’m not techie, so maybe I missed something - but with closing at 1pm and no way to return it with staff, I took pictures and left a ‘review’ saying it was returned. Sure didn’t want to pay the $20 fee if you don’t report that equipment has been returned. Also, I paid $8 to cover if equipment was damaged under my care. Thought the bill total seemed higher than it should be, but I had left reading glasses at home. Turned out there was a $5 fee added in to cover the tires while I had it. This coverage was not mentioned to me at any time, but seemed odd to offer unless they check the tire pressure before you take it and when it’s returned to be sure the tires are tip-top shape. Just another fee add-on that customer should be made aware of and ASKED prior to it being added on as it is an OPTION - meaning ‘customers’ option.
Jean BYou double charged me. $64 when I picked up van then$149 later. Please fix this mistake
Dorothy ELove being able to use a phone app to manage a rental. I remember the days when you waited in line to fill out triplicate forms.
john dAnother fine job. Very happy
Jae BThird time i've rented this week and they're still amazing
Jae BANother fine job by this U-Haul crew.
Jae BWhat an amazing dealer. I was in and out so quickly. Made the process easy an apple pie on Sunday. Couldn't be more thankful
Jae BWhen we arrived at this location there was not a clearly marked office, however, there were trailers parked in the driveway. My husband backed the trailer and unhooked it in an open area next to all the other trailers while I set off to find an office. I found it on the other side of the building and the person there was clearly irritated that we had parked the trailer indicating that he wanted it on the other end of the row. I asked if he would like us to move it for him and he rudely walked away with his back to me and said nevermind just leave it there and that he would email me the receipt. My suggestions: 1. Put up an office sign indicating where to check-in. 2. Turn the office lights on so customers don't walk into a confusing dark room. 3. Be nice - it costs you nothing and when you are not, it motivates someone to take time out of their day to write a negative review (which could cost you in the long run).
Donald BNo one was on property to check the trailer in and it was during posted hours. They did send an invoice first thing the following morning to confirm the drop off.
Brian MI am a 70 yr. old handicap guy, when I pulled in The guy there came to the door and said pull around back and drop it by the fence, I tried to tell him I would like and need some help But he just closed the door and went back inside. Will never rent anything from him again!!!
Dave CThey’re scamming people on Safe Trip. Without asking me/ which I declined online they automatically put it on. It happened to me and my son. I reserved a 15’ truck. I got there and they said they only had a 20’. I closed out the reservation which did not allow me or my son to take pictures of my mileage or gas. Luckily I still took a picture on my own because I know this place is scammy and they charged me for gas. 4 gallons. I would like to speak to customer service. This guy is probably charging everyone Safe Trip cause he gets a commission out of it.
James SThe owner was outside when we pulled up. Five of us African Americans got out the car and the employee said we looked liked clowns 😳getting out the car. The office was dirty and nasty. The truck was clean
Dilsey mThis was such a better experience than my previous experience at the Jolly and Cedar location. Previously I had a very poor experience by being bumped locations and delt with poor service. I'm always going to use Grand Ledge and already have made a future reservation.
mark dWe rented a trailer for 2 days and returned it after 1 day before 4:30 and was charged 2 days.
Bob JGreat location and wonderful service with our uhual rental.
Taryn ZTypical uHaul joint. I wouldn’t recommend or not recommend. It’s not the worst I’ve been in. UHaul picks are known to be sketchy.
Lisa ZThe mobile pick up was a rough go but got it figured out.
michael wNo one there to assist with trailer drop over.
MICHAEL FAt drop off I was greeted by a man who I'm guessing was the owner. I said I'm dropping off my trailer but I don't know how to take it off. I had just had the hitch and ball installed 2 days prior at the Rome, NY location. He yelled at me., "Why would you have a trailer and not know how to take it off?". I said "I wasn't shown", because I wasn't. He scowled and shook his head and proceeded to get down on the ground and unhook it, telling me it wasn't installed correctly, but not showing me what he was talking about. He got it unhinltched and walked away, back to me, saying he'll email my receipt. He never asked my name or anything, so I asked how he'd know it was me, and he said it's on his roster. No welcome, no thank you, just a thoroughly uncomfortable and demeaning experience. I was alone and had no one to witness this. I have just moved 2 loads from NY to MI, renting a 15' U-Haul truck and then having a hitch and 5 x 8 trailer applied to my Hyundai Venue for the 2nd trip. I've had nothing but good things to say about the first 3 experiences with the Utica, NY, Lansing, MI and Rome, NY locations, but I would never recommend the Grand Ledge, MI dealer to anyone under any circumstance. He was genuinely upset with me for doing what I had to do, return my equipment. It ruined what was a pretty flawless experience., up to that point.
Sheila OBeing a multi repeat customer and have always brought equipment back the way it was with no damages! I shouldn’t get treated like a criminal for renting u haul equipment you’ve never had a problem with me in the past and I don’t see where I need to come here anymore. I’ll buy my own trailer.
Caleb HEverything was great but the a/c wasn't cold
Allen WI had a decent experience. I was a little upset because I arrived at 515pm and was told by the guy in the morning he would be there as long as I was back by 530pm. He was not so I hadn't asked questions on where to park, or how to drop it off mobile. There were no parking spots available so I did my best parking it
Alexandera KCustomer service upon returning equipment
Michael RThis guy is the best. Best experience ever. If you need a uhaul go to Diddy’s Vintage in Grand Ledge ;)
Jonathon LHaving boxes on hand
Walter GTwo major problems with the rental. 1- the agent tried installing the trailer on my 2 5/16 ball. It didn’t fit and he didn’t notice. If I didn’t say anything, he would have left it sitting on top completely unlatched and it would have fallen off. 2- the trailer had no running lights. This was very dangerous because I was driving in the night
