When I made the reservation the person on the phone never informed me that if you are late for your reservation, it will be canceled. Instructions on return were poor. Van was dirty. He said the tank was full which it was not. Never recommend this place to anyone.Sidarth W.

It is in Oakland where the standards are lower. This is part of a multi-faceted business shoehorned into a corner, in a Middle East or India way. The man who helped me at both ends was articulate, knowledgeable and fast. But the surprisingly newer, nicer 10 foot truck I rented was uncomfortable for a tall man (6'4") to drive. It was plenty wide but short on length. OK for the ten mile job I had, but a longer trip would be bad.George N.
Guy running the place appeared to be in dirty clothes. Dropping the vehicle off under an overpass, I had to back in carefully not to hit someone's tent on the sidewalk and then had to dodge around piled trash or stand in the bike lane to take the checkout photos. Would not want to return truck to this location after nightfall.LISA D.

I had no problem with the site or customer service they were both excellent but I did not like having my license put into your system or that I have to wait for a text to pay my bridge tolls. It's troubling to know that someone has a copy of my driver's license in their system and my bill is not finalized.Eddie K.

Have the vehicle I rented ready. Had to change from a 10' van to a pick up truck because there was no 10' van available. But the employee was very professional and took care of us very fast. Could not move all the big items I needed to move.Yu W.

Employee was 10+ minutes late at opening time. Several people waiting in line at the gate upon his arrival. Then, none of the customer's trucks were ready to go, so it took another 25 minutes before I could get into my truck. I had pre-checked in using the 24/7 truck share, but since my truck was "at the back of the lot", the employee made me wait while he switched me to another truck manually, printed the paperwork for me to sign, etc. etc.... I reserved a truck for 9am, not 9:45. I used the Haul tools to expedite the process and "skip the line", but it was all a giant waste of time. He then had the audacity to suggest that "next time" consult with them first to find out which truck would be at the front. It's not my responsibility to make a Uhaul employee's life more convenient.William C.

Charged for two locks but only received one lock and that was all I needed. In addition, initial location for pickup was Redwood City but when I arrived they did not have a truck for me. Had to drive 35 miles in rush hour traffic to Oakland on moving day to get the size truck that I reserved.Robert K.
I was supposed to pick up my rental at 11 and the shop didn't even open until 11:20. I was overcharged on time when I even returned the van 2 hours earlier than I said I would.Alayna L.
First, there is no sign for the business. Owner was not friendly. I expressed that I wanted to pay cash upon returning vehicle. He didn't communicate the shop was closing early. I arrived before 4:06 to return vehicle after only 3 hours of use. When I arrived, the iron gate was closed and owner was driving away. I had to beg him to check in the van for rental return and so it wasn't left on the street. Overall experience is, I'll never use this location again, and also tell friends to stay away. The vehicle was clean but so unsafe to drive. The headlights were so dim and the interior panel lights did not work. Incredibly dangerous to drive this vehicle after dark. Hard to do the automatic check in process there when Wifi in the area is so poor. Went home a mile away to get Wifi in our house as we didn't know we had to be on site. So had to go back. This really sucks that you don't tell us this in advance and basically make the customer do all the work.John K.

The individual that took care of us when we picked up the truck was extremely helpful and fast. He went above and beyond for all customers in the morning. however, we didn't experience a great rental return. i was extremely disappointed since i was unable to return the truck during it's hours of operations 9am - 12pm on Sundays. we were there around 11:25am, which was a decent time to return the truck. on top of that, there was a couple picking up a truck/van @ 11am and there was nobody to help them when they arrived @ 11am. on top of that, there was an elderly woman returning her rental and she was there before me. The sweet elderly woman had to create an account and do a mobile online return, which was a bit difficult. we managed to help this lady set up an account and successfully return her van outside the business. This was extremely unprofessional and i don't know how i would recommend this this location to a friend or family member.Sebastian O.

The employees at this location are extremely rude and unhelpful. Last time I rented from here the guy was late 20 min to open. This time, the guy was rude at pick up and no one was there when I went to return the truck. There was no mention of needing to do online return and I didn't have my phone with me so I had to drive back to get it. I would NOT recommend this locationSHANNON C.

Open on time. It was impossible to reach the dealer by phone. We couldn't even leave a message because the mail box was full. Make it easier to extend rental for another day. The process to extend our rental was so complex and difficult we said "to heck with this" and just returned the truck and rented a second day from someone else.
