Jerod RThe owner is a little shady. He encourages you to get insurance for the Uhaul for any damages and if you declined then he the Uhaul truck gets stolen after less than an hour from the time you parked it. Is was suspicious how there was this one other guy who keeps a look out at the parking space where the truck got stolen. That same person is who I saw hanging out at the gate of the Oakland Uhaul branch. I don’t trust them. The owner, after being informed that the truck got stolen and that the police are on it, only told me that I should have paid for the damage insurance in the first place. He wasn’t worried about anything else. (There was also one Uhaul truck at the opposite side of the road, most likely from Canada judging by the red maple leaf symbol on the plate, that was not stolen and it was parked there for 3 days already.) Be warned, that middle-eastern black owner is not trustworthy. I hope they get investigated.
