Very upsetting that I dropped off the rental at 3pm and they were supposed to be open but they were locked up. Called U-Haul direct to report that I dropped off the rental. I was told but Crystal that shw would note that I returned the rental and that once the dealer opened I would get my receipt via email. Did not receive the email until 3:39pm and was surprised to find a cleaning fee of $25.00. There may have been some dust in the rear but I returned it cleaner than vans I've picked up prior to even using them. I tried calling customer service ar U-Haul but after waiting 40 minutes on hold I gave up. Will try again tomorrow.Steven W.
Be open @ the time of appointment. Be clear that the truck was empty of gas . Include cost of cleaning on blankets when returned. Out ur control the fact that ur website wasn't running properly @ any of the 3 sites i used. Dap Oakland, Alabama street, Redlands . The agent Pete @ Outer Highway 10 was surprised we were turning in a truck, as the email info was given. Nor did he give me a receipt . Sadly I've used UHaul for years w/ no problem. The outside of the truck was very dirty, including the windows and mirrors. In order to see well enough to drive safely, I needed to take time before I began my trip to clean both the outside and inside of the windows and the rearview mirrors.LAINE F.

The person in charge was not at the check in desk when I arrived, and a line had formed before they showed up. This person made me complete the check-in process all over again, even though I had already completed it online. They also marked the gas tank as filled to 3/4 on my contract when it was only filled at 5/8â€”Â I took a picture to show that they wrote it down wrong. When I returned the truck, staff were nowhere to be found, so I dropped my key in the drop box. As I was walking away this same person yelled at me for not finding them and asked me to come back so they could look over the contract again, which I did. It was just a generally uncomfortable, chaotic experience.Emily B.
My appointment was at 2 pm. I got there at 2:30 and the shop was closed. I couldn't access my rental until the owner returned at 3pm. I had to call Uhaul corporate to find out why he was closed and they called the regional supervisor who tried calling the owner - with no success. We just had to sit there and wait. When the owner returned, he was rude, didn't apologize and said i was supposed to be there at 2pm. I said YOUR SHOP IS SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC UNTIL 4!!! The UHAUL attendant at the store said the place closed at 8PM but when I went to return the truck at 6 PM the place was closed. They close at noon. I was charged for mobile return and I want my money back.Crystin J.

There was 1 attendant and seemed overwhelmed. There's no real indication of what's needed day of from the backend or Uhauls confirmation emails. There's no clear instructions from arrival, collecting equipment, and returning equipment. There's no indication of hours, even if it's a partner site Uhaul needs to take responsibility of providing thorough details on every aspect of the rental process. Even the follow up from the Uhaul office operator to explain my option for return vehicle to different city wasn't available left me wondering in the phone call what I need to do. The operator or agent didn't feel the need to answer my questions, wasn't that helpful I had to guide her to help me understand the instructions and details for this partner site. I'd rate the entire experience 2/5 from beginning to end. Ultimately this rests in Uhauls hands to elevate the customer experience and over preparing the user. Also the mobile option isn't that compatible with web browsers and doesn't effectively work for checkin or check out. Maybe try an app!NICHOLAS S.
The proprietor was late to open and was also not present for my return. I had to wait outside the location for twenty five minutes to return the truck.DAVID M.
Truck smelled like cigarettes. Took 20 minutes to pick up because too many customers and only one person. The attendant gave me one contract, then switched it for another one and a different truck. I returned the truck before the published closing time, but no one was there. I dropped the keys off and left. I was then charged for an after hour return, even though I didn't return after hours. I was also charged for refueling, even though I clearly refilled the tank to the level it was at when I picked it up. I was also charged $14 for a â€œsales itemâ€ with no explanation. I called and emailed, including a photo of the fuel gauge and gas receipt, and so far no response or credit to my card. Unacceptable.William C.

The guy there working is horrible. BAD customer service. Did not ask me if I wanted insurance, he just charge me. Gas gauge was 3/8 and he mark 1/2. Overall I'm ok with truck and location. Just the worker. Very unpleasant and unfriendly.NAM L.
