EUGENE BOur move-in yesterday was smooth thanks to the amazing service we received at U-Haul! Ruth was an absolute gem — friendly, efficient, and made sure everything was in order for our pickup. She went above and beyond to make the experience stress-free, and her warm personality made a big difference on a busy moving day. We also had to swing back to pick up an extra dolly, and another gentleman there (wish I got his name!) was just as helpful and kind. Both of them made us feel cared for, not just like another customer. Thank you to Ruth and the team for your outstanding support — y’all really helped make our move easier! ENASHA B12 hours before I arrived to pick up my truck in VA, I received a call that I I’d need to drive 20 miles further to pick up the truck I scheduled. When I picked it up, the return destination changed twice while I was in the U-haul office on my mobile app. Both drop-off locations were more than 35 miles from my destination. The Lynchburg representative told me I could drop off the truck at the U-Haul store 3 miles from my destination. So I used the mobile app to check in the truck there. The first thing the mobile app checked was my location. Then, it stepped me through a normal checkin process of 25’ truck and told me to drop keys in dropoff box. I went inside to let them know I had changed my dropoff location from the one 35 or more miles away. They were hesitant to say it’s ok, but ultimately the representative said he would work out the details and thanked me for using U-Haul (2-26’ and 1-15’ trucks in 10 days and returning them safely). I really did appreciate him going the extra mile for me and listening to my circumstances. He made the right decision thank you.
RICHARD TThis location has great hours and several trucks on hand. The folks inside were pleasant and happy to help get a truck checked out for me. The after hours return box made it easy to get it returned. The UHaul check out process was a bit lengthy of a process. I got to the point where I had to list two references for a phone call. Neither call came after 5 minutes so I went inside and finished the check in that way. Definitely something that needs to be improved upon. The return process was also pretty easy. It did require taking several pictures which required me to go back and forth a few times without realizing it was the next step. But it made sense for a quicker turn around for rental. The truck itself was fine. It did the job for me. It was sluggish to get going. I did notice the steer tires were almost bald, probably right at legal limit.
Cole RAn older truck; a few little glitches ( drivers side lock didn’t work, ripped drivers seat, various dings) but no problems with it doing the job.
WINIFRED RThe truck didn't have the pads or furniture dolly in the truck. The location wasn't open at time of checking out the truck, had to return back to the store to pickup those items which was an inconvenience and wasted about an hour of my time. The inside windshield was hard to see through due to not being cleaned. The back of the truck had to be swept out since there were screws, nails and dirt. Due to prior roof damage in the Mom's attic area, there is sharp metal protruding and is a hazard to cutting oneself or damaging property.

Christopher GThere wasn’t anyone at the site and the drobox was not clearly visible. I did return to the dropoff site and 2 guys had hooked the trailer to their car. I didn’t know if they were stealing it or not. I was suspicious. It all could have been avoided had they had some type of UHaul insigniad clothing on… hat, shirt, name badge, just something to show they were UHaul employees.
TED WGreat folks, we stopped by before drop off time to see the store and everyone was really helpful and friendly.
Richard MThe only issue I had was when we hooked up the trailer the lights did not work. But of course the problem was with my "truck" and we should go to an advanced auto. And if we weren't driving at night not to worry. We Where going out of town for 4.5 hours so we drove a bit and just stopped to make sure everything was still ok my husband tried the connection again and it worked.
JESSICA DI was assigned the wrong drop off location and then reassigned with no knowledge of it or no communication from U-Haul, another location that was 78 MILES AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL DROP OFF LOCATION. The new location I dropped off at was not open and I left the key in the drop box and they did not read my contract and charged me for an extra day for no reason.

DWIGHT DPlease make sure the truck is clean before you rent them out. Our truck was covered in dog hair and the windows were filthy.
CODY BA dolly that I had reserved online was rented to another customer before I arrived. I was charged for 2 days when I was only 3 hours late. I had called in the morning and left a message to this effect. I missed a call from thedepot at midday and called back a minute later only to get the answering machine again. I left another message stating I would be there by 2pm (was supposed to be 11 am). When I arrived they claimed to have received no messages. I will now be disputing this charge with my bank.
JOSHUA CTruck had transmission problem and had to get another truck
KIM IMake sure the trucks actually work and compensate customers who have damaged goods. People are spending harder and money to try to move, which is an expensive process as it is, and there is always extra fuse to pay will not be using them again.

BRIDGETTE II’m still waiting on a callback. This was actually the worst experience ever. Our truck broke down because the battery died. I had to pay people extra that showed up to help me move because they had to stand around and wait for an extra hour. I would like someone to call me back at 704-420-4421. I expect to have my U-Haul refunded as I’ve had to pay out more money than it cost me to even rent the U-Haul.
CRYSTAL STerrible communication on drop off location. We were told where to drop it off. The location was closed and did not accept drop offs. Very frustrating having to call and get a new drop off location. We should have been given a different location being the one given was closed
ERIC MEmployee was Late for reservation, got swindled for $15 even though I added gas to same level I got truck.

Julio Vwhen you say there is things that are purchased in the back of the truck. make sure they are actually in the back of the truck.
Xavier BThe place I originally reserved the car hauler at was not where I got it. The original location which was in my reservation did not have a car hauler. With my reservation number the guy said I had to go to another place 9 miles away. They had it and I got it. Your reservation app and process failed.
Russell PTruck was in pretty rough shape. Passenger door didn't work from outside (dented). Burned a lot of gas for going under 50 miles.
JOHN ODrop off was super easy and both employees were very helpful. I didn’t get their names but both were welcoming and very polite.
JODY SFursrly, Clean the truck cab. Second, stop giving out rates that are 30% less than actual.i was first given $63, then $75, then $85 just to end at $95? Now I get that I spent money on gas, but that was only $7. Then I lost an hour this morning waiting for someone to make this purchase go through. All in all it was okay, but nothing to write home about.
Howard MAsked for a dolly on my reservation and ended up having to pay more for an appliance dolly because that was the only one they had.

Cheryl WThe equipment was clean on the outside. Inside the cab was a lot of dirt on the driver and passenger side. In the back of the truck up near the cab was a lot of dirt, overall it just needed to be sweep and wiped down. It’s natural to have dirt especially when it rains, but it still needed to be wiped down and sweepers out in the back. I would use this company again.

BRANT KI was using the app to pick up the trailer, so I proceed with check in over the app and at the end of the process I got notification that all good and you can pick up the trailer, so I picked up and left the location. There was no any specific instructions saying that I have to walk in to the reception and do paperwork. After few hours location representative called me and asked if I am going to pickup the trailer today, I said I did it in the morning. Then he said that I have to come back with trailer and they need to do some pictures, and he said if I don't come back in 5 min, the trailer will be reported as stolen and police report has to be initiated. There was no way I could come back to the location in 5 min.
