The personnel were very rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend this location whatsoever. The parking lot was also over crowded and unorganized. This made me rethink choosing uhaul entirely. Very disappointed in the lack of service.Derek B.

Honestly when I have to rent truck for moving I feel uhaul is the most convenient but had nightmare this time around. Booked month in advance to arrive for self pick to no vehicle no keys no information. Off to calling customer service which knew why but not customer. They looked to help and sent to one location to another finally finding one available away from my planned location and Km planning. 2hrs late now I go on to almost empty trail delaying more and finally off to my day. I still return truck way before planned 3:30 pm and get charged $20 after hours charge. Yet no compensation for all delays and charge. The location was fine but Uhaul overbooked the vehicles and the requested truck was not available for me. This resulted in a smaller van and I was forced to make make multiple trips and extend my day by at least 3 hours. Based on the number of other clients in the facility that were having the same experience, I would not recommend Uhaul.Tara H.
I originally reserved a 26' truck and the morning of my pickup, UHaul called me to inform me that it was not available and only a 20' would be available 50kms away. This is extremely frustrating as this is a one-way rental going from Ontario to Texas. I had booked time off along with my family that was helping me move. I called the scheduling manager repeatedly before the pickup date to ensure that a 26' truck would be available because I have had Uhaul cancel last minute on me in the past (trailer). They assured me that it would be available but unfortunately it was not and I had to leave a few things behind. There needs to be contingencies built into the one-way reservation model as I am certain this happens alot.Peter Y.

I had to clarify information several times, didn't receive contract and had to call to get it, there was no one there at 3 pm when we were dropping off, the on line drop off doesn't work. Very confusing to get accurate pricing because they go back and forth between miles and km and US dollars and Canadian. If you want to do business in Canada you should have information in Canadian terms. Overall i didn't feel I could trust them.MELANIEE V.

I was content there was a rental available for me. Since the first location has all they're keys stolen in a break in Not happy there is an environmental charge on the invoice. Doesn't explain what it's for. I had to clean the snow off of the 15 ft truck myself with my snow brush from my own car. I over filled the gas, but was charged extra for 1.6 miles @$1.45 per. Even though online it states $.89 per km. The person who helped me was friendly.Teresa B.

Customer service person I interacted on nov 7th and 8th with was friendly and helpful with transaction. I had lost a house key somewhere in the truck or on the property and he took the time and effort to find it and get it back to me. This was greatly appreciated and saved my day from being extremely difficult. A note on the state of the equipment/truck. It was clean and it preformed acceptably. Although there were a number of significant cosmetic issues across the vehicle and the gas cap was broken making it difficult to refill. I think this is likely more the state of the fleet and not the service location. The vehicle did the job and the whole interaction/experience was good over all.Michael J.

There were many issues with your service and I'm already following up the complaint with corporation. Your representative at this location is extremely unprofessional, he wanted me to return the truck back to Barrie while I already booked it one-way, when he realized that I'm not going to pay extra cost and time to do his favour he canceled my dolly, I have never seen that rude and unprofessional service provider bullying his own clients. Based on the amount on loading, I booked 15â€ truck almost 10 days before moving, you guys called me few hours before moving and changed it to 10â€ and it caused me taking 2nd truck round trip for almost $400 plus finding 2nd driver and paying him on top of that. The service that u-haul provides is disaster, absolutely awful. You know that on the day of moving it won't be possible to swim to another service provider that's why you look at your client as a money tree. 16 months ago you did the same to me, by canceling the trailer on the day of moving that I already booked to carry my own car from Ottawa to Barrie, and it cost me a lot to go back to Ottawa to take my car back to Barrie, only because your level of reliability is zero.hossein T.

There was an issue with the brakes, large amount of vibration when stopping. Wasn't swept out from previous use so I had to do that before loading up. 2 days before my arranged pick up, they cancelled my 20ft truck and gave me a 15ft instead, then told me instead of dropping off at final location, I had to round trip it back to the pick up location. Costing me more time and money in gas fill up. Then they charged me $13 extra because I â€œdidn't fill it up the correct amountâ€ which I have the pictures to prove I did. The only issue I had was that I received a phone call from UHaul 5 days after I dropped off the truck I rented to ask me where the truck was? I dropped it off two days early and somehow they misplaced it? The young fellow was very personable at 45 Bradford St., I guess he just didn't write me in as delivered? I was contacted the day before that I would not be able to rent your truck at my local u-haul and would have to drive an additional 100 km to Barrie for a truck. We were stuck and had to take this option. We were then pressured to arrive early for pick up and then pressured to return the truck to Barrie rather than drop off in Oakville as originally booked - this would have cost me significantly more! absolutely disgusting Dirty desperately kept asking for Oil, charged more than I was quoted on millage!!! Alcohol bottles under the seats up front a nightmare they don't answer there phone there voice mailbox is always full and they don't reply to messages and to top it off Im told ( IT IS NOT MY RESPOSIBILITY ) to check for any of these things!!!! apparently it's mine to do I guess disgusted and completely ripped off over charged. Also still can't believe you have to fill up on gas and pay for millage !!!! And you still get overcharged. AVOID UHAUL AT ALL COSTS 😭Aine P.
Actually staff were very efficient and helpful!. Got me on the road quickly, with a smile! Overall, the experience was a total nightmare! I had made a reservation a week in advance, with the Gravenhurst location. I was dropped off at the rural location at 9 am only to find there was no van available. I had to go to Barrie to get a van. The process of getting from one branch to the other cost me $210.00, and took 6 hours! I.havw rented often, and realize than things happen, but this was horrendous! Wasted a day and encured a couple of hundred kilometers and gas, going to a from the Barrie location. Staff at both locations were sympathetic, and helpful, but had no explanations or resolution. Confirmation of the drop off point would be nice if it came with more notice than just being confirmed AFTER I had already picked up the truck. Thankfully, we got our first choice for location, so at least U-Haul came through with drop off, as opposed to pick upJeremiah B.

Be open when you say you will. Says open at 8:00. I arrived early for 8:00 reservation . At 8:05 me and another guy called the number on the door, guy told us he'd be there in 5minutes. At 825 he finally showed up. I already had the car dolly hitched up (they aren't locked up here). Th straps have some fraying I pointed it out to him. When I loaded the car I found one of the hooks on the safety chain has been replaced by a carabiner. Guy working has no Personality. Hope to not returnBrian R.

The owner asked me not to drop at destination town instead he wanted us to do him a favour and bring the truck back to original location. Told us he would give us free 38 km for the extra travel back and free dolly rental. He LIED and charged us for everything. Costing us double in km. Never again.Michael T.
I had to wait for 30 minutes or more to pickup the truck. I have been overcharged for file despite filling the tank to it's original gage. I have the receipt and the picture of the gage when I dropped the truck. I called twice yesterday and the rep from this location was too busy to look in to this matter. Booked a 27ft truck. Notifed it was being changed to a 20ft with 5x8 trailer. At pickup it was changed to just a 20ft truck. The people there had absolutely no interest to rectify the situation. Because of the change in combination it put me behind in moving and had to rent another trailer from another company. Needless to say I am less than impressed would no recommend them in any shape or formEdward W.
Staff was prompt to scene but was not well informed about some of the practices of uhaul. Although they did try to convince us to change our booking to a round trip by offering us a reduction in the mileage rate, they were reluctant to provide the blankets we requested as part of the order unless we offered to bring them back to Barrie. They did not review the insurance options with us , and did not mention text feature that displayed the existing damage to the truck and how we were to be involved in using it. No print copy of the rental was provided and no signature requested. They handed us the keys and pointed us in the general direction of the truck. When we contacted the location by telephone about an issue the following morning before starting the move, the staff hung up the phone and did not pick up when we attempted to call back.....a disappointing experience..GregorVeronika B.
