The truck I rented has multiple pieces of the interior missing or loose. The location itself is also incredibly disorganized, there are no clear signs for parking and the lot to return the trucks to is way too small. In addition, I never received a call to confirm my order, so the truck I requested was not available.

sketchy little joint with less then helpful staff. this was our first time and last coming here. we pulled in to an inclined lot with no turn around and little space to maneuvering space. cars parked randomly around and staff pointed across the street and said, "just drop it there, across the street!" We're not local, we don't know this area and it was already tough to get in off the roadway. gentleman finally said, "just leave it where ever on this side" and he came out after we were struggling to park it and put a long block of wood to secure the trailer in place, after telling muttering something about, "its fucking fine there". Not somewhere we ever want to have to venture back to again.

The office looks to be dual purpose - uhaul and something else. Drop box is there but parking is across the street. Parking not very accesible. Lot was too small and was packed. I could not park there. Had to leave truck at office lot with signs saying uhaul vehicles not allowed. After hours so I had no choice. I called customer service and told them.

Where do I begin? Female Staff was very rude. It was very difficult to obtain the truck to begin with because the number wrote down to find the truck was incorrect. Then, they couldnt find the keys to it. I was yelled at because the "6" was really a "G" from what they wrote down. Once I finally got the truck, it was filthy and smelled like a homeless person had been sleeping in it for months. There was so much clutter and it was so disorganized that it seemed impossible to operate. There was also a U-Haul employee there who was there just to drive andmove vehicles that his vehicle was blocked and he couldn't leave on time and nobody was in the lot to help him. On return, there was nowhere to park, people were yelling about the service and how trucks were blocking other trucks, and to top it off, my son who is 16, just had surgery and was on crutches. I let him stand in the office so I could return the office and not walk that far, the staff made him leave the office and I found him outside in the parking lot where he told me they wouldn't allow him to stay in there. I took photos of the mileage and the gas on return, and they still charged more than what it was. This is by far the worst office and staff I have had to deal with. I will never deal with this office again. U-haul should be ashamed of themselves as they allow this sort of thing to continue. With as many negative reviews as they have, something needs to be done.

Very small office seems chaotic, dirty, and disorganized with stuff piled up everywhere. Customer service was great during check-in but really unfriendly during check-out. Maybe they were overwhelmed that day. We noticed that a car got stuck in the deep ditch that runs in front of the office. It almost happened to us too. They really need to do something to address that - I think the car had to be towed out of the ditch. Parking is a nightmare at this location.

The pickup process was fairly smooth, however the return process was nearly impossible. The check out process requires you to have location services on and take pictures of the trailer. I was instructed by Dominion to leave the trailer at a lot down the road, so when I tried to check out, the website and app would not let me proceed because my location was down the road at their secondary lot. Thus I had to drive down the road back to Dominion to begin the return process, then drive back to their other lot down the road to take the pictures of the trailer. It would be best to either have the drop off location set at the secondary parking lot or don’t require location services for drop off. Other than that, no issues, the trailer worked just fine. Going back and forth between locations to check out was rather difficult though.

Definitely recommend for VT move-outs and move-ins! Location is convenient to VT. The staff was tremendously helpful with my reservation for my college student's move. Made reservation online and the office staff processed it quickly for both check-out and return of vehicle. Will be using them again in August.

Not sure if this is normal, but I received a text message directing me to a different drop off point, which was note a big deal, but I wonder what would have happened if I left the truck at the original drop off location.

Actually have the truck ready on time (they had to go "look for the keys on the ground") made me late Ensure the vehicle doesn't leak (all my shit got wet and already know I can't do anything about it legally) Rude staff had to listen to another worker raise her voice to a customer and threatened fines for what was a simple mistake What kind of uhaul makes the customer walk down the street past live traffic for getting their vehicle? Overall the bottom of the barrel. But I'm 99% sure nothing will change based on how Uhaul operates. I just want my money back.

Booked through the app. I had pick up at that location and drop off at Roanoke. Poor experience because 1) the Lady that checked me in was argumentative about where my drop off location is. There was in fact no need to need to argue because I told her Roanoke and my booking says Roanoke. But because my mailing address is in a different area, she’s convinced that my drop off address is there. 2) Truck provided did not match license plate that I was texted. When I went back to ask her, she said don’t worry about that and recommended that I don’t do the mobile check in for taking pictures and what not

I made my reservation and was told the day before I was going to pick it up that they didn’t have it ! This is after I was not contacted after being messaged that someone was going to contact me ! When I was directed to another location and told they had a truck for me they didn’t have the truck I reserved. After taking a different truck which was fine they acted as if the truck was too new and didn’t wish to rent it to me ! I work for a big company so I’m aware that this is not how you’re supposed to do business when your business is to rent trucks !

Didn’t interact with anyone, but the main parking lot was really small. There was a sign that said UHaul returns were across the street. It was night, so it took me a minute to figure out where to go. The location to drop them off was not well lit and very cramped.

I had to park the vehicle across the street and take a picture of the mileage and fuel a second time because the attendant didn’t want to walk out to the truck. I then didn’t get an immediate check in and that happened after I left. Kinda odd.

$15 safe move was added against my will, II have a screenshot of the original reservation as proof. UHAUL said it can't be canceled after taking the keys, which is when the charge was snook on there and I was not able to see that in the contract until after they charged my card and gave me the keys. I will not use UHAUL again, I filed a dispute with my credit card and submitted the proof and I will be reporting this to the BBB. This is bull crap because I literally have used UHAUL almost once a year for the past 6 years, 2 months ago I paid uhaul over $700 for a big move but I guess that $15 they want to scam me out of is worth a customer like that.... never again

Rayette and Freddie are always helpful. She makes you feel welcome and has always accommodated me. I have used them numerous times and won’t hesitate to call the next time I need a truck. Highly recommend.

They did not have the additional equipment I reserved, they checked out the incorrect vehicle to me, and the vehicle had a faculty back door. Additionally, there was a long wait despite making a reservation. I will never be renting from this location again, it was by far the worst experience I have ever had renting a vehicle for moving.

I was charged for missing blankets which I returned. I asked the attendant if I should bring them from the truck to the office and they said yes. So I returned 12 folded blankets to the office. Since they were not in the truck, I was charged $48 and they apparently did not record that I returned the blankets. When I complained at the office this morning, the attendant admitted I returned them. I had to call U-Haul to dispute the charge. I’m still waiting for this issue to be resolved and get reimbursed for the error.

The parking lot of the rentals was messy. One truck was parked blocking the entrance with little space to park in my rental having to maneuver around through the back of the lot. Removing my car was a mess too. Not the locations fault but it could be clear where to park and where not.

it was not well suited for self drop off. It had dozens of U-Haul vehicles scattered in a very uneven ditch and a lot sticking every which way. It was hard to find a place to park.

Have the correct location of where to find the truck. The lady wanted to argue with me that I should have just accepted I found my truck to get the key code. It then had the location in the key box. Had to wait over 30 minutes for the place to open to get help due to the wrong directions

When I got the key, I was told the truck will be in another lcoation about 5 mins drive from the office. When we went there the truck wasn't in the lot. After spending time looking for the truck, we went back to the Uhaul office but they had closed. Luckily for us we found another lot close to the office, which I then decided to give it a try to see if the truck was there. Lo and behold there it was. I showed the lady at the front desk the mileage when I took the truck which was what she told me to do. When the receipt came out, Uhaul used another mileage reading causing me to be charged $15 extra. The Lady told me there was nothing she could do but I would have to call Uhaul directly to fix it. I was a terrible experience overall.

The lady who checked me out was very nice and friendly however the other lady that I am assuming was the boss or over the one helping me was quite sarcastic and kind of rude. Stating she didn’t have any of the trucks of the size that I had reserved online available and that “I could reserve an airplane but doesn’t mean she had one available” I ended up being able to get the truck I reserved and was sent on my way however that comment made me very sure about never using that location again. I understand if there are scheduling conflicts however that statement was unnecessary. Especially since when I went to the lot to pick up the truck there were at least 3 others that were still there when I returned the truck I had rented. But like I said the lady who took care of me was very polite and even told the lady that I was on the schedule for them. At the end of the day I was able to rent the truck I reserved and get what I needed done but I still do not think I will go back to that location or recommend it honestly. The truck was very well taken care of it was just the customer service of that one lady, not even the one that was helping me. I had even called ahead before coming there and they said yes I could so I was shocked when it began to sound like it wasn’t going to happen.

Horrible does not accurately describe the drop place. 1. They did not check me in. I wanted it verified that the trailer and pads were returned in excellent condition. Apparently they weren't feeling like working that day. They just said it was OK. 2. They did not help with the trailer at all: They could not tell me where to park it in their hell-hole of a lot and they could not help me back the trailer out of the penned in place I had to park to be off the street. MOST IMPORTANTLY: I got into a shouting match with some person outside the office. He got very aggressive with me after I requested a car be moved so I could get my car with trailer back to the street. I asked the man running the office to call the police, which he didn't do. U-Haul would be wise to terminate the contract/franchise of this location. I have never had a worse retail experience. Before I rent from U-Haul again, I will go on-line and see if 55 Merrimac Road, Christiansburg VA is still a U-Haul location. If it is, I will conclude you don't care how poorly your customers are treated and I will rent from someone else. Thank you.

Horrible location, office was filthy and full of old McDonalds and trash. The ladies checking in were rude and one forced me to get additional insurance even though she's not allowed to do that. Talked with management and they seemed apologetic but with countless bad reviews on Google I have to think this is no secret and yet the bad behavior continues...

It's a bit remote and hard to locate and find office. Once they get you signed in and posted to the lot. Great service and they help assured me ahead of time my equipment would me there as reservation request. Great service.

Had issues getting the trailer rented. It was the software site and not the staff. The trailer toungue was damaged and very hard to aattach to th ball on my hitch. When I checked the connections at my first stop, I was able to mlift the trailer off th hitch and could not cet it to seat correctly.

The truck was very dirty and had a lot of damage that wasn’t marked. Spoke to gentleman that works there and he said they don’t mark damage on “in town trucks” When I said something to him about the truck being dirty he said if I didn’t like it to park the truck and go ficking somewhere else!

I was instructed to get a larger trailer, I’d requested the motorcycle trailer, if I wanted to leave it at my destination, instead of driving with it back. Then I was charged double the one way drop off fee, after discussing pricing and everything. My bill went from $70 to like $600. That is not reasonable or really acceptable even.

This place has no place to park the U Haul. The address they use directs you to the office. The office has sign in the lot telling you not to park units in lot but no guidance as to where you should park. The is a large area a few blocks away with a lot of U Haul units but no signage stating over flow UHaul use. Getting the U Haul trailer off the hitch was very difficult as there was no tung jack on the U Haul trailer making it almost impossible to pull out from under. I strained my back lifting it off the hitch.
