Van smell of a smoker being in there smoking. Ended up putting air freshener in there while had it. Could also see ashes all over cab. Cleanliness of vans, especially during Covid, needs to be a priority.

Agent didnt know or care less if booked equipment was available or not in vehicle. Can dirty. When returning and using app started return procedure and app froze up at photo milage and gas stage, and couldnt get to complete process. So the agent told me to return tank half to 9/16 full, which I returned 9/16 full and got charged EZ fuel surcharge as they had put incorectly half full ! Really, scamming everyone who returns the hire vehicle with a surcharge, U Haul must be making a furtune with this practice..I wont be using this location again..

Truck Share website did not work because the dolly i reserved was not available. As a result I had to go inside the store to complete the paperwork. Would be nice to have a better inventory system or a way to change options.

Check in was fast and quick. Henry was amazing. Uhaul van had plenty of room and to turn back in was easy quick and the rates were affordable and the best. I would recommend everyone to go there.

Again no help. Drop it off over there. I don't think I will ever rent or tell anyone to rent a trailer from u-haul. I used to like being able to have my moving needs met by u-haul but no more.

Mobile pickup: this is nice, except that during the pickup process you are asked to submit “proof of identification “ which was not clearly required before. A passport, or an Employer Contact (who needs to answer a phone call) or some other option is required, and we didn't realize this until the pickup time. Be prepared!

The folks at Duncan Ace hardware were awesome and fast. I asked them about which type to gas to use, they explained to me about refilling the truck with regular gas, and not diesel fuel. They pointed out the U-Haul roadside assistance phone number and website before I drove the truck just in case there was any problems.. Very helpful !!

The cargo van that I rented smelled like it had literal barn animals in it. The smell was very strong and hard to handle. Have rented from here multiple times and normally vehicles are very clean, but this was bad.

No one helped us! We had to unload ourselves and check in online! An employee came out and helped someone else who arrived after us and informed us that we would have to wait because there was only 3 people working. I mean he was right there and could have helped us and had us out of there in 2 minutes but instead walked back inside . This has always been my go to uhaul place but not anymore

I am still waiting on someone to contact me?I've sent two emails? The inside had not been cleaned! There was water and tobacco and trash in the door cubbyholes! Trash on the floor and sand on the floor. This is my 2nd experience like this? I am very disappointed that these trucks are not being cleaned between clients? Also I had a credit of $50 that was supposed to go towards the rental? I was charged $25 for cleaning fee, because I said the truck needed cleaning? It needed cleaning prior to my use! I called to extend the truck due to Christmas and under. estimating the amount of items. The uhaul sat in the driveway and at NO time was I told about the extra $38 dollar a day in addition to the $40 day extension That is a charge that should have been optional or explained when I extended the truck

When we dropped off our Uhaul, the representative working told us that he didn't have time to come check out our Uhaul and that he would do it later. We found this unacceptable as we wanted to make sure they knew where we parked the Uhaul and to ensure they did indeed log that it was returned. We asked for a paper copy receipt to show we returned the Uhaul and he told us he couldn't do that until he checked the Uhaul out, but said he didn't have time to do it right now. So, I would not recommend this location to anyone. Very displeased with the customer service and professionalism. I also want to add that there were 2 Uhaul representatives outside as we were trying to figure out where to park the Uhaul, but they offered zero help and never acknowledged us.

I waited at the counter for at least ten minutes and was passed by twice before I was even acknowledged. When the employee finally started helping me with my reservation, he started helping someone else before I was even done. I then had to wait until he finished with the other customer before he came back to finish up with me.

1. My reservation was for 10AM. When I got there at 9:45 I waited for the store to open. A woman came to the window of my car to inform me that I couldn't pick up until 11 because they were short staffed. MY RESERVATION WASA FOR 10! I DID IT ONLINE THE DAY BEFORE! When I arrived at 10:45, the woman that told me I couldn't pick up until 11 completely ignored me. I wasn't able to get out of there until 11:45. ALMOST 2 HOURS WASTED!!! 2. When I started the truck, the airbag light was on. This is a SAFETY concern because, God forbid, I had an accident the airbags will not deploy. 3. The front end of the truck needs to be checked. From 55 mph and up, the truck bounces. The problem gets worse with weight in the truck. 4. The back of the truck was filthy! U-Haul has no problem charging me if the truck is returned dirty but doesn't take the time to clean it from the prior rental. I have pictures to document the air bag light.

Windshield wipers were terrible. I recommended replacing. The moving dolly was left unsecure in the back of the truck when I first opened it. Other than that, it was a good experience.

The cab of this truck had obviously NOT been CLEANED! Nor was the back of the truck swept. Under the circumstances with the Pandemic the cab should have been sanitized and spotless not all sticky form an obvious soda spill that wasn't cleaned up. I had expected much better for an ACE Hardware location as they are usually very helpful. NOT THIS TIME!

First they don't no what they are doing,took 2 hrs to hook the car carrier up, never secured my vehicle up right drove 700miles with jus 1 tire strapholding the car on to carrier, I believe I should get a discount because I could of lost my car or caused a major accident on the interstate even a death, very bad service I received

Nobody stepped forward to help after I waited at the Uhaul desk for over five minutes. I parked the Trailer and went inside to checkout and make sure I parked the trailer in the correct location before I unhooked it. Previous management was much better at helping Uhaul customers.

1 12-volt volt Outlet was broken wasn't even there the other two were so Rusty we could not Char's are phone or used GPS the inside was so dirty and smoking my wife had to get in there and clean it even before we start putting stuff in the front cab I would not recommend the worst truck I've ever rented in my life and I've rented many

It took 45 mins to get checked out, I had a reservation but I guess the system was backed up. This needs to be fixed for faster service, you shouldn't have to wait that long when you make a reservation.

Staff great , truck great, uhaul interface/computer HORRIBLE. Took them at least 4 attempts to create a rental ticket, they hold ONE HUNDRED MILES because they were burned before and they created TWO holds of $86 for a &40 rental. FOUR days later they still have these holds on my acct WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN

The time was adjusted to 0900am for pickup however the location does not open until 1000am. I was one of 3 others that all got there at 0900 to pickup trucks but weren't open.

I originally had a reservation at U-Haul Moving & Storage at King St 584 King St Charleston, SC 29403 but I was late to pick up so they canceled my reservation and I understand that is my fault so they sent my reservation to the Duncan Ace location and told me to hurry because they closed at 7pm. I drive 30 minutes to the other location to find out they closed at 5pm.
