It was a dump! The exterior looks like an abandoned lot, garbage everywhere. Inside looks like a hoarder lives there. Super unprofessional. The person who served me was competent however took 10 minutes to find the keys that were on the desk. Customer service was very poor. The guy on the desk doesn't know how to talk with the clients. Another thing he send us two different locations to pick the truck we were waiting for an hour then he called us and send another location. Then he's saying like it was our mistake I mean seriously you mailed us the location to pick the truck and we went their and there was no one and after call sending us another location and shouting on us really great thing. Today I was treated badly by one of your employees, he told me "I don't have time to talk to you", he was yelling and he overcharged me for the cost of fuel even though I told him to explain to me how he calculated the cost of the used fuel but he answered me rudely and I am very disappointed with the treatment of his employees, it all happened in Saint Laurent, Quebec MontrealJaime K.

The office is not visible and it was so hard to know even if there is an office for the location. signage is not much visible for the location, process of doing the check in on line is lengthy and at the end I needed to find the office to collect the key. One plus point, the guy who assisted me in the office was helpful and explained to me what to do and how to return the car.Amer A.

I did my online check-in and I assured the van is available. Then, when I arrived at the location, I was delayed 1 full hour to pickup the van because they failed to close the contract of the previous client! I had to re-schedule my move time which it was not a pleasant experience with the building management!Ammar I.

He gave me the truck dyrty. The breaks was poor and dangerous. I cut my time for the location because of the brakes. He took 25$ on my credit card saying for clean up. firstly, the gentleman from the place 12040 laurentien is not welcoming and the place is very dirty, he delivered the very dirty truck to me and showed me any small details that you need a magnifying glass to see, and he strongly suggesting insurance even though I have my own insurance. I was away for about 2.30h. just for a little transport, i came back he looked at the passenger seat and told me it's dirty, usually he charges $ 25 for cleaning, there is no one who touched that seat, he gave it to me dirty, i parked the truck 2 cars behind the place where i picked it up, he was too angry how i didn't park it in the same place telling me he is charging $ 5 for that but he'll give it to me for free. Finally it was a very bad experience, first and last time, I was stressed throughout my trip not to have dust on the truck because he will charge me for that. Finally he made me wait 20 minutes and each time I asked him for the bill, he did not answer me. Finally told me the amount and told me he will email it to me.ELIAS N.

The office is not clearly identified. I had to find who was working for u-haul in the driveway and i side the building. The office is a complete mess. The truck is old but was clean and we were able to do what we needed it for. I choose this location because it was near but would prefer a more professional location in the future.Luc M.

The fuel range was at 1 1/4 and the guy there (ENE S) asked to bring it again at 1 1/4, and when I said it's not easy to determine how much I should put, he said "it's u-haul, and not me", and after returning it, he asked about the fuel range, and when I told him "u-haul has my credit info, they can deduct any changes" he asked for extra money in cash for the fuel, which I found it weird! The pick up and drop off location was changed on me twice! I was charged extra for no reason. When I received the truck, the gauge indicated empty and I had 5 miles before empty. Truck displayed. The employee at pick up marked it at 1/4 of a tank. And only changed it after to 1/8.. the truck was not in good working condition. The wiper blades do not work. The wiper jet was not working either. The truck was buried in snow and I had to shovel the truck out of a snow bank. This is the worst service ever!!!!!!!Nathan L.
This was by far my worst ever rental experience. U-haul changed pick up location 1 hour prior, the new location did not have any available truck, the representative at 1150 decarie montreal was not helpful at all. He didn't even call other dealers or uhaul for help and askede to contact uhaul myself. After 2 hours of calling and waiting on the phone I got another truck at another place. I went to pick up my car and it was towed so I had to lay 116 cad because of your mistake which made me forgot I had to relocate my car. Please do not make a reservation when there aren't enough trucks available. Was Last time at uhaulAMIN S.

SEND them to ANOTHER LOCATION! I had reserved for 9 a.m. No one was there; the place was closed. I called the different number on the window 10+ times, and even went to businesses next door to try to contact the owner. He arrived at 10 and it took him a while to settle in. The truck I'd reserved was present, but it had not been processed from the previous rental, so he could not give it to me. He needed to call his supervisor to resolve the previous issue, wasting even more time. I finally got the truck, used it and then returned it a bit early. Once again, there was no one on site, but a note saying "back in 10". I had to call and leave numerous messages, only to get a call back to say he'd be back in 10 minutes. So, more wasted time!! At that point I thought of just leaving and brining the truck to another location, or simply dropping the keys in the box and taking off. But he finally arrived. The last issue I have is that while I had used a credit card for the initial transaction as required, I indicated that I wanted to pay with my debit card, but his machine did not work and I ended up having to use my credit card anyway. While all these things may happen individually, and are perfectly understandable, the fact that they all occurred in one single transaction is absolutely ridiculous!!! There seemed to be an obstacle every step of the way! All in all, it was more complicated than it needed to be for no reason whatsoever. I will never, ever be returning to that location.Evanthia K.

I hade an issue to self return, I would take picture of the dashboard but it would not let me continue. I had to go so I dropped the key then contacted uhaul through live chat and sent the dashboard picture but I am currently contesting my receipt because I got charged for 2 periods when I only kept the truck for 4 hours! My experience was good until the trouble to return and I hope this will be fixed very soon.Melvin H.
Please make sure once one books a rental online with all required information he/ she should not be ask again to provide the same information to your agent. Going through same process all over again. Of coarse one or two pieces of ID should be required for the pickup the key or the pre-inspection of the equipment as every necessary measures. ThanksSajad S.
We dropped off the truck a day earlier to our specified location and from the start, we could park on the lot (we used the sidewalk) because cars we park mish mash all over. The owner of the place knew we were coming but said that we weren't on his system and made us call uhaul to fix the situation and only accepted the truck once they said that it was on the system. No final report from him, so I took a picture of the odometer and fuel gauge and walk around the truck to make him see that there were no damages.Michel H.

I also was not automatically given a copy of the contract. I had to demand one. Once I came back with the truck, It was still over 15 minutes for me to get a copy of the receipt. The guy opened his garage 20 minutes later than suppossed after i have called im three times.... 1h30 later after a lot of troubles with "his informatic system" supossedly! Been too late to take the car so i paid for nothing... Big lost of time and money!!!! This guy doest speak a word of french and he is note able to do nothing with a computer....very incompÃ©tent. Finnaly it is your technical support that made this rental possible... They entered the computer and do it at his place...very angry with all of this experimentMaxime T.
