It would be nice to have electric mirrors and door locks. And better interior & ramp lighting

John EI lived within 2 miles of a large Uhaul storage and rental facility in Virginia Beach. They had trucks and trailers of all sizes stacked like cord wood on their lot. Virginia Beach is a large city next to other large cities with many Uhaul stores. The rental truck I was assigned was located in a small rural town 1.5 hours drive west from my home. I was working alone, so I had to leave my car there and drive the rental truck 1.75 hours southeast to pick up the auto trailer. The original contract was for a 20' truck, auto trailer, and appliance dolly. Neither the truck or the trailer Uhaul stores had an appliance dolly to fulfill my contract. I was told by the Uhaul tracking office that they only track trucks and trailer, not appliance dollys and I would have to find one myself. I found the dolly at a third Uhaul store but had to pick it up and rent it separately from my original contract. I eventually had a neighbor drive me back to pickup my car at the rural truck rental location that added more time (3+hours on Friday afternoon rush hour traffic) onto a long day. I used to be able to rent a truck, trailer, and dolly and pick them up in one location, ready to go. Now, I spent almost as much time running from Uhaul store to Uhaul store picking up equipment as I did driving to my new home. This is the worst equipment pick up experience I've ever had with Uhaul.
Jeffrey BI was charged for trailer insurance without being asked if I wanted it. No contract was printed, just sent to my email. The attendant didn't cross the chains on my trailer when he hooked it up. Seemed unknowledgeable about how to rent a one-way unit.
THOMAS Stires were unaceptable (no tread) , Air conditioner in truck did not work!!
ANTHONY JRental was not ready for pick up. The owner of the establishment added insurance to my package after I denied the coverage without asking.
KENDELLRAMONE JI do not blame the drop off location for this encounter. There was clearly errors with the initial pickup location communicating where the vehicle was to be dropped off. I was told by the pick up location to drop the vehicle off here and was blind sided with an additional $255 charge on top of my 109’ I already paid for a 64 mile move.
