I had a perfect treament at both location, the only bad experience was way too much money for a 15' truck , i put 256 miles and they charge me 410$ plus 80 dollar to gas it, a brand new truck and is only give you 8 miles per gallon......JOSE Y.
The inside of the back of the truck had snow in it. Also all the dollys covered in snow on pickup. This made for a wet floor after sweeping out the snow. Didnt plan on using the furniture pads to protect bankers boxes so they didnt fall apart because of the wet floor.Tyler D.

Everything with the truck was fine. My issue is with the person at the front desk. He went over our contract to mention the gas and charges but did not tell us we would be charged a fee if the van was returned after they close. The location closed at 8pm and our reservation was till 9:30pm. The gentleman knew our reservation was past their hours of operations and did not mention we had to submit our return online. I returned the van around 8:30pm and left the keys in the drop box. There should be a poster or sign that says to go online and let uhaul know you returned the van. These are stressful times and people using your services are probably overwhelmed with moving. You should not take advantage of people in this manner.Karolina A.
The display for the radio was broken and didn't show any info- it was a guessing game using the radio which was annoying. Also as a result I had to use my phone to check the time while driving which felt unsafe. The staff at this location was lovely and very helpful though!Griffin S.

There is no lot to drop the truck. Just limited street parking. And no instructions on their website about where to park . There were spots on the other side that were good until 7am the next day. Would that have been ok? No idea. We called uhaul and although she was nice , she didn't know what to do either. If it gets to keyed or towed is that our fault . I submitted a complaint yesterday and have spoke to many reps, but this was the most disturbing, painful, and worst customer experiences I've had in my life. I reserved a truck that when I arrived the day of my move was not there. The person working there made me wait in the rain outside for over an hour and brushed me off when I asked where the truck was. He told me he saw the reservation but had no truck for me. All of my belonging were outside in the rain and after hours of being on calls with uhaul got a truck that was not what I wanted at all but had no choice to take it. I was then promised if I return a refund that I haven't seen yet and that I wouldn't pay for gas and extra miles just received a bill for gas. I must have spent 5 cumulative hours on the phone on hold and getting false promises. This ruined my move and a trip I had the next day as I was forced to drive a truck back from NJ to NY. This was a nightmare and need a refund at the very leastchristopher L.

Post clear signage so customers know where to go to sign in. It's a hectic and unorganized environment on a very busy Brooklyn street. Using the app to pick up and drop off is anything but convenient. What they don't tell you is that you will need to give them the names and numbers of two contacts to verify your identity, who U-Haul calls right then and there, which takes extra time and inconveniences not only you but your friends and family as well. My pickup was at 7:45am and I had to try several friends because most people are asleep at that hour. This wasted valuable time. Oh yeah, and every time you leave the app they make you sign back in again, and clicking the â€œremember meâ€ option does nothing. An overall frustrating and inconvenient system. Also, U-Haul changed the pickup reservation time on me TWICE and I had to call them both times, waiting 20 minutes on hold both times, until it finally fixed it. Then when I dropped it off they charged me for an extra day. Why? Because their reason was that they expected it returned early in the morning. But it didn't say that on the initial agreement. The agreement was that we return it on a certain day, NOT by a specific time on that day. The truck drives like garbage, the AC barely worked, the wipers streaked and you still have to roll down windows manually. Get with it, this is 2020. No thanks uhaul. Never again.NICHOLAS S.

The online customer service is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. First they hear about whats my problem is then they said let me take a look n never came back to me. Happened fews times with me . I supposed to get the truck on 29th. They gave me 3 different times for pick up the truck. After trying the whole day they said they can not give me the truck. The whole apartment was packed for move . This is totally a mess up situationMd T.

I have been VERY let down by this location: 996 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211. A larger truck got stuck on mine while I was parked. I took photos of the incident as I walked back to my truck (including the license plate of this driver). There were four witnesses and all said there was no damage (there was some black rubber marks at the top of my truck that could easily be rubbed off with a kitchen sponge). I live in Brooklyn so always buy the insurance in case of incidents like these. When I returned the truck, even though I was told by witnesses not to bother mentioning the incident since there was no damage, I notified the employee and texted him the photos. He looked at the rubber spots and said it was fine and there would be no issues to deal with. Then a few days later, with no incident report, I got a bill including a massive insurance deductible. I feel completely taken advantage of for being honest. With Uhaul, I always have to take pictures of absolutely everything (gas gauge, milage, etc) because I am often overcharged. And now this. Shame on you, Uhaul.Maresa P.
