The ONLY U-Haul I got to! They’re fast and easy. Super convenient in all Brooklyn just have to find a good parking spot but other than that 10/10
MANUEL CDo not attempt pickup unless the location is clearly open and another person is present. The U-Haul app is buggy, outdated, and it took me nearly an hour just to complete my pickup despite no ‘real’ issue

QUANTIASHA WHave a better & more visible area to pick up the vehicle. Had to basically stand outside of a Conex trailer and talk through a window - not handicapped acceptable- that’s for sure. No paperwork, and informed me the truck is down the street.

JAMES KWe called the location and were assured we could pickup as scheduled at 7:30am. They didn't even open on-time at 8am. Was 8:15am before anybody showed up. Quite a line of customers by then. Must add the personnel were very nice and VERY helpful.

VINCENT RChris was at the desk he was helpful and communicative. We initially picked a different location for pickup because of the reviews but when I called them regarding the dollies we ordered they were curt and abrasive not giving any suggestion for how to get them just stating “we won’t have them” I decided to try the 996 Metropolitan location to see if they had them the day before our rental, as the Uhaul 1-800 number could not confirm. Chris was working and let us know he would have the dollies for is and that he could switch our truck rental to that location to make everything easier. Promptly the next morning he was quick in getting us a truck. When we returned in the evening they were just closing, the other gentleman was helpful in staying a few minutes to tell us where to park and all the people leaving were polite and nice! Uhaul on the other hand needs to work on maintaining their equipment, the truck sounded like it could use a tuneup and the cab window handles where barely attached and the passenger door was difficult to close. Uhaul also does not guarantee equipment rental even though you order it online, you should call the location and verify because most often they don’t have it

CONSTANTIN DWhen I picked up my truck I stood there in the cold for 10 mins because nobody was there, and then when I returned it (at the time I said I would) there were four other people all trying to return their trucks AGAIN with nobody on staff to be found. We scrambled to figure out what the heck to do as there was no drop box or anything. Took like 20 mins and had to direct traffic. Ridiculous.

Christopher HThree were three 10' foot trucks right in front of the 996 location. There were now protective blankets for my funiture. And i had to walk 4 blocks for my truck in a suit meanwhile their were 3 trucks right out the gate

RICHARD JThe interior of my car smelled like weed. The key took five minutes at a time just to turn the ignition. The engine sounded terrible while driving. The car battery died inexplicably and I had to wait for three hours for somebody to show up just so I could return. It is my first bad experience with uhaul but I would appreciate some type of refund or credit.

MANUEL CThis location charges ridiculous fees and upside charges until you ask them for refund. They charged me a $100 cleaning fee when I left nothing inside the truck. On contacting they mentioned that some couch mats were left on the sidewalk whereas I did not even have them.

MANUEL CThe location on Metropolitan Ave. Bklyn has an Outstanding Customer Service, always reliable, personnel is cortious. I been a customer for more than 8 years and always recommend this location to any person that had asked me about renting for moving as well as friends and family members. They always, and I meant it when I say always, are very helpful and accommodate the customers needs.

DARRYL HI live closer to 3 uhaul rental companies and I still go to this one. They actually clean the trucks, keep a modern inventory, and are chill and way more professional than the other spots. I've never had a problem with them. Plus, plenty of parking on Metropolitan! Highly recommend.
SAMUEL SGreat location, only a mile from where I was going to pick up some things. Used the van for an hour and a half, the pick up was super quick and smooth, drop off after hours seamless. Would definitely use again!

FRANKLIN TThe location is not as good as the closest location 26 South 6th street. My only issue is that two of the vans I rented did not have wiper fluid in them and tire pressure indicators in one of them

HARRIS GThe uhaul location at 996 METROPOLITAN AVE, WILLIAMSBURG, NY 11211 is absolutely horrible. We were supposed to pick up the truck at 7AM. It took us 30 minutes to locate the truck which was parked many blocks away from the location and was supposed to have the key in the back. When we finally did and checked in, the system suddenly said we have to go pick up the keys from the counter not the truck. So we had to wait until 8am for someone to come and pick up the key. The person in there was extremely rude and did not even bother apologizing for wasting one hour of our booked time, all he did was to keep warning us that we “have to return the truck on time” and that he didn’t care that it took us an hour just to pick up the truck. The two dolleys we booked were not loaded in the truck so we had to drive back to the location and picked them up ourselves. Overall horrendous experience with this location.
