Use a better retailer that actually shows you how to hook up and use the equipment. I also would like to see that all U-Haul representatives take pride in their job and actually put safety of the customers first!! I had 2 major issues with the auto transport trailer. 1st one a whole wheel assembly came flying off the trailer so after 3.5 hours of waiting breakdown brought me another one. I get all hooked up and 52 miles down the road a trailer tire blows out and caused the U-bolts to be ground off so I had to wait another 3 hours for breakdown to get another one to me. I just don't understand why pre trip inspections and well maintained equipment are not a priority for U-Haul??

They could be a little clearer on how charges are calculated. Out of town one-way is a flat rate charge for a specific amount of days. If you bring it back early the charge isn't less. Never was explained to me upfront nor could I find it on the website. Very disappointing to say the least. I would say this is not a great customer experience company! They are fortunate they don't have a lot of competition!

Very friendly people. storage lot where trailer was is not at same site as rental center, so it took more time that necessary to do the paperwork, go to lot, then go back to rental center to finalize everything.

I have rented from this location 3 times in the last month and a half. Each time I have made a reservation, I have been called back by Uhaul to tell me that either what size truck, location, or time of pick up was changed. If what I am reserving is not available, then why does Uhaul allow me to reserve it? This last time I rented, I asked for an in-person check-in because the mobile check in process that I went through during my first rental is a nightmare. I was first told that I had to pick the truck up an hour earlier than my reservation. I was later told by the renting location that they would call me the morning of my rental, do an over-the-phone check-in and they would leave the keys and contract in the truck for me to pick up later in the day. I did not feel comfortable having the vehicle that I was then responsible for sitting unlocked with the keys inside, so I took the day off of work to pick it up face-to-face. My original rental time was to be 24 hours, 4:30-4:30. I was told by the rental location that even though I was picking the vehicle up at 9:30 instead of 4:30, and I intended to return the vehicle at 4:30 the following day, I would only be charge for one day since I was picking it up early due to their issue. They ended up charging me for a second day. I called the rental location and they refunded the charge for the extra day. I did appreciated, but should not have had to go through that hassle. The first issue I have is with Uhaul's bait-and-switch tactic when I make my reservation. Again, if what I am trying to reserve is not available, why then am I able to make the reservation? The second issue I have is with the unprofessional issues with the checking out and checking in of the vehicle from the rental location. The whole process is shady and unprofessional.

Store was supposed to be open 8 or 830 to 11. No one was there and doors locked from 930 to 1030. Kept getting disconnected when calling support. Dolly was not on the truck. Still got charged for the dolly despite communicating multiple times that I did not receive a dolly. No I have to find another way to move a safe using a different company.

people/person was super nice and helpful -- place is a dirt lot that sells stones and gravel next to a cliff on a busy road.... door you enter is not cleary marked (the 1 of 4 doors)

The person who called to confirm the truck was pleasant & efficient. The app needs to be improved. We spent about 30 minutes just trying to get the app to upload photos, license, etc. We were not able to get to the part where beginning mileage & gas were entered. When we returned, after putting in $10 for gas, we spent another 30 minutes or so trying to get the app to upload photo, mileage, etc. We ended up taking a picture to show the company if needed & dropping the key in the box. I was also charged for gas. The truck was fine, the app was not.

There was issues with the website causing the pick up process to be problematic and had to convince the the people to help him. Then when the truck was given to us a low tire light was on, the truck wasn't completely full on gas and dome light was cracked. At drop off my husband has issue with them stating he didn't get correct verification prior to them giving him the truck in the first place. So in end this experience was poor and we had just had a good experience a few weeks prior with the same location. I am not sure of all the words spoken as I was not present at the time, but my husband says after that he will never rent from uhaul again.

The app is terrible. Would not take pictures. I was scheduled to pick up the truck at 1130am. Didn't leave the lot till 1230p. Same problem returning the truck. Either use better examples or be more reasonable when accepting pictures. Wasted 40mins trying to return the truck. Still never took any of the pictures I has taken.

"Anytime Pick Up Via Phone" is so convenient but dropping off is confusing because it kept asking for photos of mileage and fuel level throug the app. Had to complete via website. Only "wrench" in my experience.

I originally used the online app to book the rental. However, at pickup I found the app to be confusing, repetitive, & not user friendly at all. Luckily, the owner of this location was there at 8:30 on a Sunday morning & allowed us to rent directly from him. Going forward, I will never use the app unless it's improved. I will only use & recommend this in-person location due to the excellent service we received!

This is my second time of renting a vehicle from this business. It is difficult to safely enter the establishment bc of a curve, RR tracks and fast-moving traffic. This second time, the woman who took care of us was pleasant. The staff seems to not be interested in human interaction or available for basic problem solving.

My husband took pictures of the damage a previous borrower did to the truck and it was never cleaned. It's like someone spilled Grease in there and when it melted it got everywhere ruining my couch and a few boxes. Thanks to the grease in this truck, I'm couch shopping this weekend!

Been using this location for years. Only 3 complaints are (1) Chris told me they sent me the wrong trailer, (2) when I got to the destination I was told and shown that the front chains were not attached to the car I had on a transport. Which could have been a huge issue had the rear ones failed and (3) by the time we had driven 3 hours from pickup the left chain was dragging the ground and lights wiring had disconnected and also dragging ripping up the covering.

Be sure to call ahead to find out where to drop you equipment after hours if you have a trailer. The trailers are at a different location than the trucks. The folks at this location were very friendly and helpful.

The equipment was clean but the truck had serious problems. It did not have sufficient power to get up hills on the interstate. At times I was down to 25-30 mph and it felt very unsafe. If I tried to press the accelerator too much, it shifted into neutral (I assume some sort of safety feature). This made driving very stressful. The check engine light came on early in the trip. I pulled over and called U-Haul Roadside Assistance. I was on hold for 50 minutes before I gave up and drove the rest of the trip anyway. Due to the strain on the engine, gas mileage was extremely low (maybe around 6 mpg). It was a terrible experience. The people at the pick up and drop off locations were sympathetic but the disappointment was not being able to reach U-Haul for help.
