When I checked in, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. When I returned the truck, the office was already closed. The owner was outside and offered to do my mobile check and was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely rent from this location again!

The mobile pickup process was a bit confusing at first, but it was manageable. HOWEVER, the return process had issues. When I completed my check-in, the instructions to return the key said to put it in the drop-box. But this location had no drop-box, only a lock box that needed a key code. The return didn't display instructions for the return the same way it did for the key pickup. Thankfully, after a few attempts, I could guess the key code and put the key back. But that was definitely an issue for me. Please display the same lock box info on the return step! :)

It was hard to locate the office, there needs to be better signage to find it. I would've not known where it was if someone from the salon didn't show me because there is no indicators it's inside on the second floor.

The customer service was lovely and warm; I really enjoyed my experience with the staff. However, the location is so difficult to find and no signage. Also, there is a lockbox with a code to return you keys after hours. I was not given the code to the lockbox (or was not shown how to find the PIN anywhere). I was in the phone with Uhaul for over an hour after hours trying to return my keys.

It was so hard to find parking on the street when returning the vehicle. Maybe provide designated return area in the parking lot across of the building like when I picked it up.

Very specific description of where the office is located! "Above Dixon's pub" or "access the building from 9th Street" would be helpful to email/text out with the confirmation as, when driving down 9th Avenue, it looks like the address doesn't exist.

As per my second experience with this outlet, it was a great experience overall. Check-in and return went quickly and efficiently, and also the new office is looking better each time I've visited! There is a feeling of safety as well with respect to Covid19 as this outlet has several protective measures in place, including right at the door and also protective covering at the check-in desk. I was very satisfied overall, as usual. Would recommend this outlet to friends & family in the future

It was a positive experience, however it's always stressful renting from uhaul... what marks are pre-existing... could I be charged for this??? Do I have to go over the vehicle with a magnifying glass? I sent a photo of the marks I saw at pickup, but they weren't even mentioned at drop off. Location is amazing. Would use again.

It took over 25 minutes to get the keys and leave the UHaul location. Even though I filled out all the information online when I reserved the truck. Then I was charged much more for what I was quoted.

Took forever to figure out the location and the steps to pick up the truck. Would have been nice to get some advice when booking as we had to extend time and incur an additional cost. The guys at the location were friendly but weren't wearing any uhaul branded clothing so it was sketchy when they came to collect the truck back as they saw I was completing my drop off. I also do undstand why uhaul could confirm my information in advance so I wouldn't have to wait for them to call someone else? Overall it's not $19.95 a day as the price costed me over $100.00. Probably look for something else in future and won't recommend.

This experience was phenomenal. I have rented from Uhaul each year for many years at several outlets around Calgary such as the Barlow or Kensington locations, and it is usually pretty decent. This new location just opened up, and is run by a pro. Even though the location is still somewhat under construction, the outlet manager ushered us in and got our paperwork and everything put through quickly and efficiently. We went out to do the vehicle walk-around right after, and then my partner and I were on our way. I was impressed at how he was able to handle us despite having to work with minimal office equipment set up (due to the ongoing construction) and answer all of our questions with ease. I would highly recommend this downtown location to anyone, and will definitely rent from this outlet again in the near future.

After a 36km trip in Calgary, the top-off of the tank required 16.526 litres of fuel which works out to 45.91 litres/100km. That is extremely high given that the city mileage rating for a 2018 Savana 2500 cargo van is 11 mpg or 21.3 litres/100km (https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bymodel/2017_GMC_Savana.shtml). Based on the federal government fuel economy rating, my 36km trip should have only required 7.67 litres. When Kevin and I did the pre-rental inspection check, the fuel gauge was on the Full line. When I returned the vehicle, the fuel gauge was past the Full line (overfull). The return attendant, Daniel, has a photo of the console used for mileage purposes. So, the rental prior to my rental today did not properly top-up the vehicle and I paid an extra CDN$8.86 in fuel. I indicated to the Uhaul attendant upon return that I would like to be compensated for this difference. Regarding customer service; the staff, Kevin and Daniel, were excellent. I am just not happy I am paying for fuel the prior renter neglected to top-up properly.

After reading the reviews of a number of Calgary UHaul operators I selected the 3505 52 St SE Calgary location even though it was not the closest pick-up / drop off option. I was not disappointed... the costs and other details of the rental contract were clearly explained as well as the steps that would be taken at the end of our rental. The vehicle itself was spotless and in good running condition. We were a few minutes late returning the vehicle and were greeted by the pleasant, smiling manager who obviously "gets" the concept of providing service with the intent on gaining repeat business... I would not hesitate to rent from this location again.

I would like to speak to a customer complaint manager about an absolutely horrendous experience. The manager at this location was highly incompetent upon pick up, and when I called after the truck broke down in the MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION, he told me he would call roadside assistance and then call me back, hung up on me and DID NOT CALL ME BACK, OR CALL ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. I was stranded in a dangerous location in a piece of shit truck. The mechanic showed up over an hour after the truck broke down and I had called roadside assistance myself in an SUV and without any diagnostic tools. He then proceeded to do an illegal tow to move the vehicle, prior to which he made incredibly sexist comments, including how I couldn't possibly drive the truck since I am a woman. The entire rental process with UHAUL made this the move from hell and the company obviously does not care about customers or even maintaining their equipment. I am STILL waiting on a call back from an area field manager, 48 hour later.

Excellent customer service and communication. Honestly, this could not be improved and the great service I received was fantastic. My only complaint is that, due to Calgary public transit, the location is sometimes difficult to get to. However, due to the high level of service I will absolutely book with this location and use this service again.

1. Rental units picked up should be full of fuel and returned the same 2. Sales rep explained the unit had just recently had a mechanical inspection plus he had also inspected the unit yet the drivers side windshield wiper was in terrible condition; this should have been observed and replaced prior to renting this unit.
