The car I rented has six gears: the first, second, and third worked fine, the fourth was hard to engage, the fifth was difficult, and the sixth didn’t engage at all. It only engaged a few times and then cut off, with the check engine light coming on, indicating repairs were needed. Yet, they easily release such a car on a route, knowing the check engine is lit and there’s a fault. That’s a big downside—if the car can break down on long trips, then people will be stuck on the road indefinitely. It’s a major oversight to put broken cars on a route
