Other than the actual loacation U-Haul is terrible had to drive 3 hours to get a truck.they gave and a discount but it still ended up being more than it should have since I had to drive my personal vehicle with someone els to get the truck l.would not recommend this company to anyone absolutely terrible experience minus the people I had to deal with while getting the truck/dropping off the truck.Then on top of it all I bought boxs at a st.johns location and they said “you can bring back what you don’t use”but they didn’t say I couldn’t bring it back to a different location it had to be the one I bought it from.LIKE IM MOVING how do you expect me to bring it back to a location 9 hours away absolutely terrible company

Great location!!! Owner is there, out involved with his business. Excellent customer service at the counter. Will go here, no matter where I may be. Thank you. P.S. I would recommend U-Haul consider winter tires in our climate. The weather I experienced during a back and forth combined five hours in blinding snow squalls required good tires. I'm an experienced bad weather driver so I could handle a full and empty van. If a non experienced driver were to run into the white out conditions in a 9ft cargo van, only all seasons with worn tread. That van would be off the road and someone hurt.

my drop off would have been great if the location was open but was not when i did drop it off was trying to use your app and it did not work well for me would load up properly so i call the 25/7 they keep tell me to use the app that didnt work so then i had to go back to the drop off again the next day. the lady that was working was great she knew Exactly what to do got it on within a few minutes.

Truck to be rented was damaged at the lot before pick-up. damage report was attached to the undamaged truck that was actually rented and your computer system made this a very time consuming and difficult process for the returning lot. The truck we actually got kept slipping into netural when it was shifted to reverse. The amount we paid was above what was on the invoice I have yet to find out why. the truck is plastered with fuel saver trim package stickers but the truck itself has ultra poor fuel efficiency. the truck was clean both cab and back. the cab was uncomfortable. this is NOT a reflection on either the pick up or drop off locations but on the turck and uhaul itself

The lady working there was really nice and understanding. Its extremely frustrating when you book vehicles and go to get it and they are not available...There needs to be better compensation for the customer...Reducing the km rate from .89 to .69 is just not cutting it...Especially when moving is so stressful as it is and then book a big moving truck re book again...This is unacceptable!and have confirmation for 24 hrs and then its not there...This company needs to improve before I

There is one small but important maintenance issue with this particular trailer that I rented… The passenger side tire is in a dangerously worn state.… Probably just an oversight. But I would recommend getting it fixed immediately. I always have good dealings with U-Haul and this is a particularly good location to rent from. Thank you. David McHugh

Did not get to go inside the drop off office as I could not get the truck up over the hill to get to the office. It took two attempts to get over the hill. First attempt I got about half way up and the truck spun out because of the bald tires that were on it. When I backed down the hill to make another attempt, the truck got stuck in the snow that was on the road. When it finally found traction for the second attempt, I managed to spin my way over the incline to halfway and just put it in park and left it there. The lady that was working at the office came outside and looked at the tires and said she was going to contact someone right away to come get the truck and have tires put on it.

I booked a rental and got a confirmation where to pick it up at… which was located at Cormack Esso near by my home which is Deer Lake. When the driver arrived there was no vehicle and we were not in the system. We had to drive an hour and half out of our way to get the truck in Corner Brook. It put a damper in our day as we were moving.

The equipment was snow covered, other wise everything worked well far as my knowledge. Never had a problem aside from on the return had difficulty with the website return process. But have pictures to show condition.

This location was great but Uhaul as a company is absolutely terrible these days. Their reservation process is useless because corporate accounts mean more to them then everyday people trying to move.

My only dissappointment is that reservations of vehicles cannot be guaranteed in advance. I was flying two people in to help load and travel to unload the truck and it was not until the day before I was to pick up the truck that it was confirmed that one was available despite my having made the reservation many weeks in advance. How can anyone make plans and commitments for using your vehicles to move when you can't or win't make a commitment that a vehicle will be available?

When choosing a pickup and dropoff location the mileage allotted should be at least the minimum driving distance between the two points. We were surprised with an extra $140 charge at the dropoff. We were told this was because we were over the mileage. The representative agreed the allocated mileage provided in the rental was below what is required but said she could not do anything about the additional charge.

I ordered a Trailer from Stephenville which would have been long enough to fulfill what i needed for the job. Had to pay for a guy with a truck to haul it and everything cause it was a big trailer. When the order went in, I ordered that 12ft trailer and was booked for Thursday and Friday. Then because U-Haul is the way it is, they sent the paper work off to someone not even on the island. So I get a call saying they know nothing about the trailer in Stephenville which the guy in Stephenville told me hed book me for and then they book me for one in CB Instead. Even though the man from Stephenville told me the 12 ft one was for local moves and was always there. So when i call stephenville the day before the move, nope, sure enough the 12 ft is booked now even though i was suppose to have it for thursday and friday. So I go into CB to get the one that is booked for me, and its an open trailer big enough for a qaud. Super p*ssed. And because i have to leave it in Stephenville cause of all the gas and time to get back to CB, instead of $30, it cost me $125. My take away is why cant the person working at the U-Haul place say hey that trailer is not booked for Friday lets say, i will write you in right now. But no, some outside source has to work its magic and mess things up costing people time and effort. Easily the worst move Ive had to make, one of the absolute most stressful days ive had. Had to make extra trips, the truck that ate gas for the big trailer just cost me $60 off the bat for going to CB to get the trailer that I assumed was 12 feet since the guy in another province knew i booked one that size and would assume i needed one that size. But no. The extra trips cost me even more money, had to call in favours, and we finished that night at 9:30 in the pitch black. And had to make another trip the next day. Never again.

This location was excellent service but reservations and cancelling two other confirmed reservations was disappointing. I was not able to contact customer service. Your cancellations cost me financially. If it wasn’t for the lady at this location advocating for me I was thinking about legal action.

When I picked up the trailer I was given a number to call to find out where to drop it off in Corner Brook. I got it approximately 2:00 on Friday and I had it rented for 2 day's so my return day was Sunday. The person I was talking with said that I couldn't drop it off on Sunday because it was closed and they need to see it when it's dropped off. I told him that I only had it rented for 2 day's and he said that's fine, you won't be charged for the extra day because it's their fault. So when I returned first thing Monday morning she said I had to pay for the extra day and then I explained to her what I was told and she accepted it with no problem but the paperwork was already gone through so she had to call the head office to get it changed. The guy she was on the phone with wasn't very cooperative and said that no one would tell me that and was still going to charge me for the extra day but then later he changed it to "you take the $25 back from my $60 deposit and the rest will have to be disputed with another department". Then I asked him if they record phone calls and he said yes so I said we'll then that's perfect because you can pull up the recording of my phone call and you will see that I was told to drop it off on Monday and not Sunday. I said I will get the time, date, duration and number that I called and literally as I was looking on my phone to get the information he had a "hold on maybe we can try this" moment and he asked the lady if she could try something and lo and behold all of a sudden he was able to give my full $60 deposit back. I was less than impressed to say the least. It was my last day home before I went back to work on Tuesday and I didn't want to spend it driving 2 hours to Corner Brook and then be treated like I was trying to rip off the company by the representative on the phone and then drive another 2 hours to get home, when I could have dropped it off on Sunday. It's funny how he couldn't help me with getting back my full deposit but as soon as I told him I would get him the information to help pull up the conversation I had, he was immediately able to give it back. The number I called was 902 465 3623 and i called it at 2:42pm on Friday June 17th. So to be clear, the representative in the Gander and Corner Brook shops were perfect. My issue was with the lie I was told on Friday on the phone call and the guys attitude on the phone Monday morning.
