The equipment dolly I was provided was ill maintained. It did not roll easily and it squeaked so loudly every time it was used that numerous neighbors complained about the continuous squeal noise. Dogs barked. Children cried. I had to wear ear plugs.

No one to help disconnect the 6x12 trailer so I had to lift the trailer off the hitch myself. Then the checking person had an app on a tablet that would only work from her air conditioned office. She could not check to see if the trailer was in good shape, parked in the right spot or returned at all. Some not so clever bean counter thought the app was going to help but it just made a fairly good company into a bad one.

Have the right truck that customers reserve.moving is hell and its worse when u get the run around trying to find a truck u reserved 2days b4 pick up

The building (office space) was extremely hot. There was a portable air unit that was not working. Heat index in TN is 105 - 115 this week! The entry to the office is not clearly marked and I had trouble finding the entry door. (No signs pointing where to go). The truck fuel level was not on Full when I took possession of the truck as I was told. I noted that to the clerk upon return of the vehicle and also showed my fuel receipt. I had originally requested a pick up truck and ended up with a 10' box truck that was extremely difficult to drive with poor visibility. The 3 local U Hauls that I checked either didn't open up early enough for me or they didn't have a pick up truck available. The engine light stayed on the entire time I had the truck. I only drove the truck approximately 36 miles. After filling the truck with fuel, this truck rental ended up costing me over $82.00 (for just 36 miles). I would definitely hesitate to use U Haul again in the future. Hopefully I won't ever be desperate.

On the day of my pickup, there were system issues that delayed us being able to pickup for almost an hour. While I totally understand computer issues, the other issue I had was that I had ordered an appliance dolly, and was informed when I showed up that this location did not have an appliance dolly. After making a couple of calls to other locations and not receiving an answer from them, she apologized and told me I would not be billed for this. The problem was that I needed an appliance dolly, and it was left up to me to find one. Luckily I was able to rent one at Home Depot for double the cost. I feel I should have at least received a call prior to my moving day if the equipment I ordered was not going to be available so I could better prepare.
