The trailer was not inspected and in fact was broken and yet the store manager would not get us a different trailer he said just take this one and call roadside assistance. He said all the others were rented out and the people were there to pick them up. I saw other trailers but no people there to pick them up. I think this man just wanted to pass the buck. I asked why it was not inspected. He said it had just arrived recently. It had a bent axle and a severely worn tire. After I took the trailer and called roadside assistance a new tire was brought out. But later after loaded the trailer it made a horrible metallic grinding sound and the the we had to have the whole trailer changed out after we loaded it. This was an epic fail by UHaul leading to 2 days on the phone and many delays and a trailer reload in the rain.

GERRY KMy online reservation was for a 10 ft truck. Got a call telling me that it had to be changed to a 15 ft. Showed up to get truck and corporate changed it to a van. Finally got a 15ft but was told my reservation was all messed up. Thankfully my original price was honored.

Steve LTrucks and trailers packed so close together, maneuverability was difficult. ***Comment about UHAUL business model - those at the corporate office who believe a trailer doesn't require a jack to assist with attaching or disconnecting the trailer to/from the towing vehicle must not have much experience towing trailers. The risk of injury is enough that I'm surprised personal injury lawsuits haven't put you out of business.

Charles DI believe that this U-Haul is a scam. When I got my confirmation, it was for a 15’ foot truck and the price was for the U-Haul and dolly. The price was around $148. I get there, and find out my reservation is for a 20’ truck and he says there is no dolly. Then, somehow, my price jumps to $190. I don’t have time to argue so I take it and leave. These people are scammers. How does my price go up when you don’t even have the dolly? To improve, be honest with people. There isn’t even an itemized breakdown of what you pay for. Its scams all around.

Serafin SThis place has very limited space and as a result, we ended up damaging the truck trying to move it to where the owner wanted it. We had to leave the truck on the side of a road and let the owner back it into where he wanted it. Huge liability! We should have chosen a different place to return in Gainesville.

Donald MI arrived and before I could even step out of the truck the owner greeted me and advised me which trailer to back up to. He backed me in and hooked up to the trailer. I had checked in online so he needed nothing else from me. The whole process took less than five minutes. If I needed a trailer in that location I would definitely go there again, and I recommend it for anyone renting near UF. Lightning fast service and zero issues. Thank you!

TODD EVery rude staff stole my debit card (never gave it back to me) called the next day to ask if they had my card they yelled at me and accused me and said they gave it back THEY DID NOT give me my card back and when I returned the U-haul the person that was on shift that night yelled at me after I told him they stole my card and refused to admit it
Lee HThey are a bit overcrowded (it's a small parking lot with an overgrown empty lot in the back for overflow), but if you're a competent driver, you should have no issue. I didn't. The proprietor was nice and organized, professional.

CHARLES DThis was an alternate location. I confirmed my original location in Newberry with uhaul corporate on Sunday at 6pm. With Laney. This morning I never received an access code to pickup early. I called and they said oh that location doesn't have your truck available. No call, nothing. I had to then go 20 miles out of my way to this alternate location. The Manager at Beverage barn said he would only charge me for 1/4 tank of gas, even though it was slightly over that. I returned truck after getting gas right before with the tank at a little over 1/4 and closer to 5/16. I returned the truck with more gas than The Manager said I would be charged and was still charged for fuel. What is going on here?
