Uhauls system is so horrible for their partner locations. It took me almost 45 minutes to rent the trailer because your system didn’t work when I returned it, they were having the same issue with other customers. You need to give your partner companies better support

When dropping off truck, I was a few hours late from time was specified on agreement. I added more gas than when I picked up. There was a note on door of office that they stepped away for 10 minutes and had a number which I called and the man was not very kind, and stated he would charge me extra because I was late, and I told him I understood. He stated I could return the truck the next day, and I told him I was already there. He informed me where the box was to return the key, so I placed it there. Then I received a notification the next day stating I did not return the truck. I called and after several transfers to the right area the person stated he would look into it as he has seen a few matters similar and call me back. I was charged $110.00 instead of the $40.00 per the agreement. There are some areas that need improvement and customer service training!

The person responsible for the location was not at the location when I arrived. When I called the number provided he said he would be there in ten minutes. He was still not there twenty minutes later and I called him again. He apologized and said his wife was supposed to be there. I waited thirty minutes and he finally came. I had other people waiting on me to help and needed to be finished with everything by six thirty. I was unable to get everything done on time and had to make other arrangements for other priorities.

Owners initially said they would charge us for the bad smell in the truck. I said my men had cleaned it to the best of their ability, that they had gotten the truck in that condition, so do not charge a cleaning fee, Uhaul's fault.

Was told they would be open until 6:00 pm, but to drop off by 5:45. Got there at 5:35 and no one was there. Also there was a sign 1-2 blocks before saying that business rented u-hauls, but when I pulled in, the location had moved up a block. This cost me 10 min as I had to turn the truck around with much difficulty.

Trying not to be negative, but the UHaul dealership in Taylors,SC should not be in 2 places that looks, as if you are in a cheap & dirty car dealership. The staff was nice, but my UHaul van had issues with the tires, mirrors , and it was very dirty. I was transferring expensive paintings to Columbia, SC and ??? Myself if I would get there! I 🙏🏻I will never rent a UHaul again!!!

Since we would be coming in after 5pm we wanted to know where to leave the tow dolly. The woman I spoke with on the phone did not explain the location clearly. We ended up learning from a tow truck operated who was headed toward an accident and saw us unloading the equipment at the wrong spot. He told us that they had moved a little further down the road and with his help I reconnected the tow dolly and dropped it off.

Returned the truck Saturday at noon, they checked me out Monday at 10:00am and charged me for each additional day, their phone number goes straight to a full VM box.

address listed is incorrect, address on file is a small lot, you cannot get a truk and trailer on the lot. The lot is off a busy 6 lane road, I had to back trailer and truck across 3 lanes to get out of lot and drive to correct address.

I had no issues with Elvis Auto Sales location. My main problem is U-Haul in general. I've used them in the past before and no issues. On the day of this rental I used the truck-share, and had no vehicle for me at the location emailed to me. If this situation occurs, U-Haul is supposed to call you the day before but that never happened. After talking to customer service, I got sent to a 2nd location, which had truck, but the word-lock didn't work to get a key. Finally they sent me to Elvis auto sales location, which did have a truck, but obviously I didn't have the moving blankets or dolly in there I needed. It was stressful hour and a half delay with people waiting on me to start our move.

The owner is friendly and helps connect the trailer. It’s just a little hard to know up front that the Elvis office is where you do the paperwork but not where the trailers are located. If you go directly to the trailers no one will be there.

They were not prepared for me at all and had not even checked the the truck was in their system and returned properly from the previous renters. So I had to wait an hour while they got their act together. Then they gave me the wrong dolly and I had to go back to their office to explain the error to them. They seemed very unfamiliar with U-Haul. I wish I could have gotten a partial refund for all the inconveniences.

I received a text the day before pick up changing the pick up location. I arrive to find the place closed and no one answering the number I was given. I found this location nearby and the lady there was extremely helpful trying to get my reservation changed to this location. She had trouble with the Uhaul system but she worked very hard to help me.

Reserved truck a month before. Had to wait in office an hour, then smaller truck than requested was issued. Young man in office did not know what he was doing and kept calling his mother at home to see what to do. Poor customer service.

There was no on cat the drop location to check us out. Had no instructions on where to the leave the truck. When we rented the truck we had purposely left the drop location open since we didn’t know location was closed to our hotel and the airport. We drove the truck to the closet 1 and then had to drive to a different 1 and had to cancel our Uber ride and reschedule it. This was a great inconvenience to us. Your website sucks. I had to get multiple verification codes just to attempt to check out and still was unable to check out. I will never use U Haul ever again.

Their lot was a bit small and difficult to maneuver with our cars. However, their trailers were on a separate lot and that made it easier for hooking up the trailer. They were very cooperative in changing our trailer size when we realized we could use the smaller one. They were helpful in getting us hooked up correctly also.

Offsite location for pick up was very difficult to find in the dark. The person working at the location did call me ahead of time but did not inform me of the parking lot up the street where the truck was parked. Better signage would be nice.

Gates weren’t open. Truly confusing when the gate says not to block but there was no where else to park the truck. Also if someone prefers to drop off their truck somewhere else don’t change it.

Vehicle was clean but the gas level indicated on the contract was incorrect. Contract stated 3/8 of a tank but was only 1/4 full. Very disappointing when I was responsible for the missing fuel. Also the contract from the previous user was still in the vehicle.

I was extremely over billed. Billed and paid $70.81 at pickup for one day and 34 miles. Was then billed and paid $320.51 after turned in for the same daily rate and 185.40 miles. Was not given any credit for the $70.81 I had already paid and my son paid $75 cash when he turned it in for gas but the final bill also included $66 for gas.

Be sure the correct trailer size as stated in the reservation is what is given when reserved. The one we rented was larger than the one they put on contract. The right one was available on the lot. Not in terrific conditions or very clean tho. Took a good while to get changed to the correct size as agreement showed.

Better communication with the location would be ideal. The website set me up for a self pickup at 8 am, but this location only offers desk pickup and doesn't open till 10 am. I found that out the morning of the move when the website information changed at pickup time. I had even called Uhaul to verify, because I was having trouble with the app. I got started 2 hours later than intended, but the staff at the pickup location were excellent. They apologized and made sure I had everything I needed for the move. Their customer service made up for Uhaul dropping the ball with the online information.

It was a little confusing as to the location of this Uhaul site. The Uhaul site was 1-2 hundred yards away from the place where you meet the associated that help with rental. There weren’t any signs or information that I saw that referenced this so I couldn’t find the place initially to talk to someone. Had to visit a different business beside the Uhaul site to understand where to go. I hope this helps.
