The location was convenient but the inside of the cab wasn’t that clean. The steering wheel needs to be wiped down, but husband wore gloves to drive with.

I was waiting 30 min for someone to show up. Nothing was ready and no lock for the sliding door and the handle was half on the sliding door. I returned everything like I received it. The son’s owner was nice and helpful and luckily he was there when I came back. Few days later they charged me for a missing dollie that I 100% returned. I got in contact with U-Haul and reported the situation.

He offered us a discount for the inconvenience as we had hired movers to load and they were waiting, they charged by the hour. When we returned the truck, we were unable to close out the rental as the location had not updated the truck that they actually gave us. We had to wait until someone called us back. Another waste of our time, clearly it was not our fault they failed to update the records. It was another waste of our time. When the lady did call me back, she said she would get the truck paperwork straight, when I asked about the discount for the inconvenience, she said that the man who offered it was her son and he is not allowed to offer any discount and he never mentioned anything to her about it. NEVER use this location. I have used uhaul three times this winter and all rentals have gone smoothly except this one.
Richard CThe 1st truck i rented 10 ft, the engine light was on then the 2nd truck i had to pay more because no more 10ft truck, then I had to pay extra for the bigger truck, and that Truck needs brakes badly i almost hit a car Because of the brakes the're scraping and grinding. When I returned the truck i let then know but they didn't seem to care,,,Very disappointed on the rental.. I would love a call from corporate.

Claire NI confirmed with the people at scheduling and they gave me the extra day since I got the text I can pick up the truck early and the pickup location didn’t give me the second day and this location still charged me $40 for an extra day. In addition, I was completely unable to add gas since all gas stations in Greenville were shut down and out of gas because of the hurricane and they still charged me for gas. They didn’t close out my transaction for two weeks and I’m assuming it was because they waited for gas stations to get gas but that’s not my fault and I couldn’t control the weather. I should pay for gas. Why did it take two weeks to close out my truck and why was I charged for an extra day when scheduling gave me the day for free and why was I charged for gas when an act of God shut everything down?
Nico CCharged me over $1,000 dollars for 900 plus miles I did not put in the vehicle. I moved from Summerville sc to Greenville sc. 900 miles is from here to Texas. Fuel reading was wrong as well. Disputed and they gave me $75 bucks back. Horrible experience to say the least. I’m disputing the charge with my credit card company. Will never rent again. Crooks
Philip OHorrible location with no safe accommodations for leaving a vehicle. I was issued a truck with a broken malfunctioning loading door that at times could not be opened. And I was told the fuel tank was full, even though the gauge looked slightly below full, but when I filled the tank back up, the gauge went way above full. I paid for gas I dud not use. There are too many other choices in Greenville for me to ever choose this location again.

CONSTANCE NThis was my designated drop off location from the original rental. I arrived on 7/29 at 8:35 am and waited in the parking lot for the location to open at 9:00 am. I waited till 9:15 and called the number on the U Haul receipt 864.349.5296. This phone number would not take a VM due to the mailbox being full. I walked up to the office door and there was a different number to call and a person answered and stated they could not speak English, and hung up. I called back two more times and tried to explain I was only dropping off a trailer and needed assistance with a jack I did not have. I also told him there was another client standing in the parking lot waiting to pick up there truck reservation and some one needed to show up asap. 15 minutes later they showed, however they spoke zero English and used his cell phone to translate. After he disconnected my trailer I asked if he could check the trailer in and he nodded yes after listening to the translation. I overlooked not closing out the reservation on my app which I take fault in. I called U Haul Ft Walton Beach Fl on 7/29 and talked with Lilly who took this message and would relay this to the area manager and they would call me to confirm receipt of the trailer. 7/30,I called U haul customer care from my app and spoke with Lola who took my message and would have Wesley the area manager call me back. Later that day I received and EM that the trailer was returned. This was a very challenging experience and it seems I had to do most of all the leg work both from a pick up and return experience. I do not answer reviews from most companies but wanted to share this as a teaching experience for U Haul management going forward.

nic mThe proprietor was not at the location at the time of my appointment. There wasn’t anyone in the office. Only a sign that said they’d be back, to call. It took 30 minutes for the gentleman to arrive after calling. When he arrived, he never spoke a word to us. As we walked in I noticed the office was dirty. I find that highly unprofessional. He had to turn on the computer, which took a while. It was obvious he did not know what to do on the system. He also didn’t speak any English — at all. We waited while he called someone to get answers. It took way longer than it should have. The whole experience was unnerving, and unprofessional.

Audrey CUhauls system is so horrible for their partner locations. It took me almost 45 minutes to rent the trailer because your system didn’t work when I returned it, they were having the same issue with other customers. You need to give your partner companies better support
MICHAEL BWhen dropping off truck, I was a few hours late from time was specified on agreement. I added more gas than when I picked up. There was a note on door of office that they stepped away for 10 minutes and had a number which I called and the man was not very kind, and stated he would charge me extra because I was late, and I told him I understood. He stated I could return the truck the next day, and I told him I was already there. He informed me where the box was to return the key, so I placed it there. Then I received a notification the next day stating I did not return the truck. I called and after several transfers to the right area the person stated he would look into it as he has seen a few matters similar and call me back. I was charged $110.00 instead of the $40.00 per the agreement. There are some areas that need improvement and customer service training!

He was still not there twenty minutes later and I called him again. He apologized and said his wife was supposed to be there. I waited thirty minutes and he finally came. I had other people waiting on me to help and needed to be finished with everything by six thirty. I was unable to get everything done on time and had to make other arrangements for other priorities.

Scott MOwners initially said they would charge us for the bad smell in the truck. I said my men had cleaned it to the best of their ability, that they had gotten the truck in that condition, so do not charge a cleaning fee, Uhaul's fault.
sharon oWas told they would be open until 6:00 pm, but to drop off by 5:45. Got there at 5:35 and no one was there. Also there was a sign 1-2 blocks before saying that business rented u-hauls, but when I pulled in, the location had moved up a block. This cost me 10 min as I had to turn the truck around with much difficulty.

Janet JTrying not to be negative, but the UHaul dealership in Taylors,SC should not be in 2 places that looks, as if you are in a cheap & dirty car dealership. The staff was nice, but my UHaul van had issues with the tires, mirrors , and it was very dirty. I was transferring expensive paintings to Columbia, SC and ??? Myself if I would get there! I 🙏🏻I will never rent a UHaul again!!!

Robert SSince we would be coming in after 5pm we wanted to know where to leave the tow dolly. The woman I spoke with on the phone did not explain the location clearly. We ended up learning from a tow truck operated who was headed toward an accident and saw us unloading the equipment at the wrong spot. He told us that they had moved a little further down the road and with his help I reconnected the tow dolly and dropped it off.

DAVE Waddress listed is incorrect, address on file is a small lot, you cannot get a truk and trailer on the lot. The lot is off a busy 6 lane road, I had to back trailer and truck across 3 lanes to get out of lot and drive to correct address.
Brian AOnly a couple of comments. The exterior was dirty and one of the internal strapping boards was not secure to the wall.

Deanne AI had no issues with Elvis Auto Sales location. My main problem is U-Haul in general. I've used them in the past before and no issues. On the day of this rental I used the truck-share, and had no vehicle for me at the location emailed to me. If this situation occurs, U-Haul is supposed to call you the day before but that never happened. After talking to customer service, I got sent to a 2nd location, which had truck, but the word-lock didn't work to get a key. Finally they sent me to Elvis auto sales location, which did have a truck, but obviously I didn't have the moving blankets or dolly in there I needed. It was stressful hour and a half delay with people waiting on me to start our move.

STEVE FThe owner is friendly and helps connect the trailer. It’s just a little hard to know up front that the Elvis office is where you do the paperwork but not where the trailers are located. If you go directly to the trailers no one will be there.

Lisa RThey were not prepared for me at all and had not even checked the the truck was in their system and returned properly from the previous renters. So I had to wait an hour while they got their act together. Then they gave me the wrong dolly and I had to go back to their office to explain the error to them. They seemed very unfamiliar with U-Haul. I wish I could have gotten a partial refund for all the inconveniences.

kathy tI received a text the day before pick up changing the pick up location. I arrive to find the place closed and no one answering the number I was given. I found this location nearby and the lady there was extremely helpful trying to get my reservation changed to this location. She had trouble with the Uhaul system but she worked very hard to help me.
