Uhaul changed the pick up location at the last minute. The new location was a 20 mins drive from the old location and thus we were trying to get there after work prior to them closing. My boyfriend arrived 10 mins prior to 6 pm and the employee had already closed up for the night. The truck that was left for us did not have a ramp and I was charged for a utility dolly which we had no way to use, when there was no ramp. I am not sure how you can load a moving truck without a ramp…..this is ridiculous. We are young strong people and we made a make-shift ramp to load the truck, but this was a true waste of money and energy. When we called Uhaul that evening to get a new truck with a ramp they told us the only way was to go back to the location we rented it from…..which was closed. We were moving stuff across state lines and did not have time to lose a whole day to wait until 8 am to go back the next morning to deal with this minutia.

I experienced a longer wait time than expected, as other customers who arrived after me were attended to first. I had to independently lift and hook up my own trailer, and once it was attached, my truck ended up in a less-than-ideal position where it could have been at risk of being hit by other vehicles while I waited for assistance. It would be helpful to improve the service efficiency during busy times to enhance the overall customer experience.

The man working the counter was so unbelievably rude to every single customer who came in. We had to wait 30 mins to even be checked in and then he was short and down right rude to us.

I was charged for additional miles and I filled the tank completely and they said I owed money for gas. They were okay at the counter but the truck was stuck in a tight spot on the side of the building and I had to do a 100 point turn to get out and around the trash can. There was stuff spilled all over the dash and was sticky but I was on a tight schedule so I didn’t have time to request it be cleaned. I didn’t have a good experience. I will use budget on my next truck rental.

La verdad no me dieron el camión que pedí me asignaron uno que ellos quisieron , sólo era para trasladas mi habitación, y me dieron un camión muy demasiado grande , se me dañó mi cama , además me dijeron que era el único camión disponible, no entiendo para que escoja uno un camión a necesidad de uno , si ellos le colocan el que esté disponible, entonces no se imaginan la cantidad de gasolina que me gasté con un camión muy grande me tocó cogerlo por q La necesidad, por que ya tenía que mudarme ,, sé que colocando esto no sé si vaya a prosperar una queja Pero si la gente lee esto cuando hagan una reserva estén pendiente que le den el camión que es ! Por qué ellos si ponen el vehículo que quieran pero si uno no coje el camión si le ponen como multa de $50 en fin un mal servicio y no lo recomiendo .

They didn’t contact me to let me know that they weren’t going to be open & that I’d have to rent it via a phone call; delayed me 30 minutes on a tight schedule. The check-in & check-out process wasn’t quick. The parking lot was too tight & felt like they wanted you to hit the other trucks.

U-Haul employees should wear a uniform shirt with a name tag so they are easily identifiable and customers know that they work there. One of the managers there was wearing a graphic t-shirt, basketball shorts and slippers with no name tag on a Sunday morning shift. It was not professional attire at all. I wasn't certain if he worked there and didn't feel comfortable returning my keys to him. After I saw that he logged onto the computer, only then I knew that he was a real employee. Additionally, when I returned truck, there was no room in the parking lot to bring in the U-Haul and I had to park up the road. There was no employee directing customers to park in an alternative lot. I just had to figure it out on my own. There should have been more employees because I only saw one guy helping customers and he was pretty swamped. Having more staff could have been a lot better to have things flow smoothly.

I pre ordered 26' foot truck at 7554 State st. When we came in 26' Uhaul wasn't available. But I made reservation over 1 week ago. No one called to tells us. We were told to go to location on 9000 South. I ordered furniture dollie that wasn't available either. I am not happy with uhaul at all.

I reserved moving blankets online and then showed up and the guy told me he didn’t have those at that location or any moving supplies but they had windshield wipers and battery’s for cars? The truck was a mess inside and it sounded like the engine was going to blow and was so slow on the road so many cars were passing us. The worker wasn’t friendly to my mom that I told him not to talk yo her like that and change his attitude. It was already a stressful day and turned into a more annoying day but we’re glad it’s over with now.

I reserved and needed an appliance dolly to move our family safe. When I arrived he didn’t have the items I reserved. He offered to call another location but it was a distance away which would have added to my total as I was being charged by miles. I ended up having to go to a home depot to rent a dolly for the day, costing me an additional $40. Had I not been able to find a dolly the entire move would have been cancelled. I would have appreciated being notified that the item I reserved was no longer available in advance so I could find an alternative location or plan accordingly.
