All arrangements were made over the phone. From Grants Pass Or. to Sandy Utah. All went well. Including young men from our family, local family members were able to take care of our total operation of moving.


The lot is very small. Perhaps a person on sir be willing to drive the truck out of the lot for a timid driver.

Make a note to customers that the mirrors may need to be pulled in to avoid hitting the trucks next to them because the trucks were parked VERY close together. If my husband hadn't folded them in before pulling out, it would have hit.

The truck shook at higher speeds. Also pretty much every car has a backup camera. How does a truck this size not have one? U-Haul needs to improve it's technology

It was my first time renting a uhaul online and the process was unclear when I made the reservation. After I got to the location, I THEN was told I needed 2 contacts that the company had to call, or a passport or work number. And the 2 contacts had to answer and verify me. I was lucky I had 2 people available, I didn't have my passport with me, and it was a Sunday so my work was closed. This process should be CLEAR when signing up for mobile pickup. I probably will not use mobile pick up again.

The Uhaul Employee I worked with to rent the vehicle was very rude. He wouldn't really talk to me so I just kinda had to guess what he wanted me to do. I didn't have any time look around at my Uhaul vehicle to check out the condition before driving off because the employee starting honking at me to signal that he wanted me to leave.

Properly train your reps. The guy told me I could drop it off anywhere and then U-Haul made a big stink about it being at an invalid location.

I was charged extra for gas after the truck was returned. I have before and after photos of both milage and fuel level.

The trick was filthy! There was trash in the cab, dirt, leaves, and a spilled drink. This was definitely not cleaned prior to my use- and with the whole pandemic going on, I'm in fear of potentially receiving Covid From the previous driver!!! The box of the truck was dirty as well- I had to sweep it out myself before loading my personal belongings in there. Overall- cleaning the truck myself prior to loading added an extra hour on to my move. Lastly, when I dropped the truck off, the staff came out to “inspect the vehicle” and didn't say two words to me- no customer service whatsoever. So I'm standing around wondering if I need to sign anything if we are going to walk the truck etc and instead he just says “you can go”. On a positive note, I returned the truck in better condition and with more fuel than I received it with and the billing was correct and there were no surprise charges on my bill. So at least the administrative side did something well.

The first employee I asked about the drop off process to told me I could just go online. Didn't seem to want to deal with helping me know where to go (the office) to feel more comfortable with the return process vs returning online. I realize online is the norm now, but I had questions When the gentleman came out to do the check in, he asked me to back it up. There was not much room in the parking lot and I asked him politely if he could back it up? as I didn't feel comfortable doing so (I didn't even back the unit up at all on my trip) He seemed to think it was no big deal and I told him I didn't want to do any damage. The parking lot was unorganized and somewhat crammed The fact that I was on hold at one point during my rental time for over an hour (couldn't do online bc I had an unusual situation) just added to the frustration
