Process was very smooth with the online check in and check out. The truck was clean and the tires were in good repair. The truck's gas tank wasn't full when we took it, so we didn't fill it up either when we returned it. There was a fuel charge, but it wasn't much. So that seemed relatively fair.
Annette WThey only issue was that I was emailed two days after I returned and checked in the trailer, saying I had not returned the trailer.

Glenn FMy truck clearly hadn’t been cleaned by the prior renter or this site. Cab was full of dog hair - like not a small amount, every surface was covered. I had to clean the cab myself. The box was also very dirty and I had to sweep it out before loading my stuff. The pick up process was very basic and they didn’t tell me to follow the link on my phone to check the vehicle in so I didn’t see that until it was too late and I’d already left the lot. They just left the truck running in the lot and I was outside waiting for someone to provide direction on which truck was mine and finally someone just motioned to the running true and that was that. This place is clearly just doing this to make extra money and doesn’t seem to have a good process around an aspect of the pick up experience in my opinion.

EDDIE WMaybe some equipment maintenance. The cab wasn’t horribly dirty, but it wasn’t spotless either. The engine and transmission definitely seem to be struggling. The staff were very friendly. The online mobile pickup system is horrible. I wish I would have known about the pre screening process before pickup. It caused me to waste twenty minutes figuring out how to use a good contact for them to call, during work hours, and ended up having to wait for the location to open.

KELLY MBro was really cool. He said I could go 80 and pop wheelies, that all was fair game as long as the truck came back in one piece. 10/10 would do burnouts on State again.
THEODORE MThe app was buggy. I stood outside for 30 min trying to get it work and it was cold. The section where you take photos of the vehicle wouldn’t retain the shots and dumbly didn’t include an option to upload photos OR bypass. So that’s as far as I got when picking up the truck. I didn’t have confidence in what data was retained. Additionally, just stop the nickel and diming. This business model is being used by EVERYONE and I’m flat out sick of it. Your vans aren’t $19 a day. With hidden fees it’s $25 a day. I was expecting to pay around $45 but paid $80 and I can’t tell you why because the invoice doesn’t tell me why. I know it’s not because of gas because I paid $40 to fill it up and the tank wasn’t full when I got it. Why am I paying for someone else’s gas plus $30 extra dollars for some unknown reason? Your customers should leave filling like the service was worth the value. I do not.
JENNIFER RI rented a trailer for a one way trip from Sandy, Utah to Colorado Springs, Colorado. I paid for the trailer when i picked it up yet they have sent me 3 different invoices all for different amounts claiming i still owe them money. i have spent hours on the phone trying to get this resolved.
Thomas RWorst customer service I have ever received from U-Haul! I will in the future go to the competitor or rent a Home Depot truck before I come back to U-Haul! I wish I could submit pictures of some of the crap I had to deal with. Truck ran like crap. Truck was 6 inches from the next truck. I wish I could make that up but I have a tape measure and a picture to prove it. I’m pretty sure the damage on the truck that was there BEFORE I moved it. The employee was less than helpful. God forbid he steps out of the office and showed me the truck( yes I had to find it the hard way) and maybe move the truck that was hard for me to get into. You lost a customer for a while U-Haul! I will go anywhere else before I visit another one of your locations.

William RUhaul changed the pick up location at the last minute. The new location was a 20 mins drive from the old location and thus we were trying to get there after work prior to them closing. My boyfriend arrived 10 mins prior to 6 pm and the employee had already closed up for the night. The truck that was left for us did not have a ramp and I was charged for a utility dolly which we had no way to use, when there was no ramp. I am not sure how you can load a moving truck without a ramp…..this is ridiculous. We are young strong people and we made a make-shift ramp to load the truck, but this was a true waste of money and energy. When we called Uhaul that evening to get a new truck with a ramp they told us the only way was to go back to the location we rented it from…..which was closed. We were moving stuff across state lines and did not have time to lose a whole day to wait until 8 am to go back the next morning to deal with this minutia.
JUDSON PAllow yourself some time to get the truck.
JONATHAN SI experienced a longer wait time than expected, as other customers who arrived after me were attended to first. I had to independently lift and hook up my own trailer, and once it was attached, my truck ended up in a less-than-ideal position where it could have been at risk of being hit by other vehicles while I waited for assistance. It would be helpful to improve the service efficiency during busy times to enhance the overall customer experience.
