ANDREA PHad a bad U-Haul experience on previous rental with a tire blow out which I suspected was due to low tire pressure. I checked all the tire pressures before I headed out on the road and found the passenger side rear tire only had 25 psi. I had to add air to all 4 tires, this is kind of disappointing renting from a specialty tire shop store. Also upon renting the trailer found one of the rear chain hooks was bent on one end, but didn’t think anything of it. When I arrived at my destination the chain was no longer on the trailer and fell off. This is also disturbing as I do not know where it fell off and could potentially be a hazard on the road. Whoever inspects and maintains these trailers needs to do a better job.

Brent RFix your app. Please fix your app. Or don't make after-hour truck pick-ups at all. What was supposed to be a 20 minute AT MOST pick-up took us an hour. We should have our drivers licenses on FILE. Or made at the time of reservation. I should NOT have to deal with your terrible app taking pictures n 5° weather and windchill in the pitch black night. Whoever called me made the steps sound really easy- they did not inform me I would have to do this on-site, which is another waste of time. Back of license scanner does not work. step 1 is to locate the truck. Step 2 is to get the key information. 1.) Our map to locate the truck was bad. It was located far from our spot. I backed out of the map, and it said my reservation was complete. My rental was active. I could not go back to see the truck number at all because of this. 2.) My rental was ACTIVE. Because I backed out of the map and tried to find the truck number again. I could not locate the truck. I was not given a key location or code. I had to call an off-site staff member and wait, again, in 5° freezing weather to give them all of my contact information again to get this code. Overall terrible experience. All staff members off-site were incredibly friendly. If it was empire tire employees who gave me the instructions, they were friendly as well. This review does not reflect empire tires at all. It is all Uhaul, and their app that needs to be fixed. FAQ for license uploading information needs DIRELY to be updated. Offline chat and calling was fine, but I shouldn't have to depend on it 4 different times to get my questions answered. this process does not account for picking up in winter or at night.

Scott GTruck was filthy dirty. There were actual bloody human teeth in the passenger cupholder and a bag from a dentist on the front dashboard. Windows were dirty on the inside. Food and garbage on the floor, it was disgusting. The desk clerk was surly, never bothered to explain anything about the truck or usage, just said to bring it to the end point with 3/4 tank of gas. The person who brought the truck to the area for me to drive did not even acknowledge me. The front windshield was covered in frost from the overnight temperatures, so I had to clear it myselft. I would not recommend this location. However, I fully recommend the Orland Park Illinois U-Haul location on Southwest Highway, wish I had gone back there, Mark is top notch in cleanliness and customer service.

Skylar BThis review doesn't reflect the location but uhaul as a company or whoever needs to fix the app when picking up. This process took over two hours and there were literally 2 other people who had already been wanting (on a Sunday) for hours. One lady in tears became she'd have to pay additional monies for the delay for movers. This app is terrible and in the end we all had to call customers for reset log in where the pick up time was pushed back (even tho we all were on time) and be sent a link just to complete pickup checklist. There really needs to be some compensation/reimbursement for the mishap for lost time and money to your customers.

Ross JBefore Empire Tire I made a reservation at 21719 S Center Ave Unit A, New Lenox, IL 60451. I called them the same day and they confirmed that the track was ready and waiting for me. They changed the track size from 20' to 15' on pick-up day without notifying me. And even after that, the 15' track was not available. Staff (workers) are rude. Opposite to polite. I do not recommend this location.

daniel cNothing was explained at pick up and delivery, everything was to download app wich i did not the contract was on really tiny letter i really believe i got scammed,,,recieved truck on empty nothing but nothing was explained and was told unlimited miles,,i def will not rent a uhaul truck wver again,,rented local a few times in the past this was my first 1 way and it was horrible..had to pay extra $500.

John KThe trailer was covered in snow and ice.the straps were completely frozen. I took the trailer home and cleaned off the ice. I tried to secure the car with the frozen straps.it was -5 degrees the straps kept falling off the tires and didn’t thaw out until I got to Los Cruces New Mexico what a nightmare. All the had to do was pull the trailer in their shop for an hour not very helpful never renting anything from them ever again
