The pickup was a nightmare that resulted in missing my elevator booking for the move! First of all, I booked the truck 8 days in advance to make sure it's available however, I got a call a day before stating that the nearest pickup location is Bloomington, which meant a +30 km drive only to pick up. Secondly, I didn't receive the access code, so I had to call U-Haul and wait in a long queue until I got connected and could ask for a solution. Third, in my booking, I had 2 flat trolleys, which are essential for moving furniture, etc. The pickup location did not have those. I found two U-Haul appliance trolleys there (they were not aware of their presence!) and asked for them, but they refused to give those to me. (Who can move W/O a trolley?!). So I called U-Haul again, the long queue again, I was given another number for the regional office or something, the regional office hung up the phone on me. I called again; somebody answered. I was told to take my phone into the store so they could tell the person there to give me the appliance trolleys. Got back home to start the move at 11:30 while my elevator booking was only until 12:00. This is not my first time renting U-Haul; this pickup location is an absolute nightmare!! no amount of responsibility, no empathy, no understanding. The guy was not even aware that there was a booking from his store. He was not there. The gas station guy had to call him every time! The truck wiper blades were also broken and did not clean the windshield at all. If it was a rainy day it would've been a serious hazard.
