Cabin has some weird smell.

Michael GGreat service from the attendant before and during pickup; helped with the hookup and all checks as well as with adding he photos to the contract. The only issue related to the rental was at Weston Rd where I went to pick up a ball mount; Park DT told me a 2" drop was the right mount; Weston Rd only had 3-1/2" drop mounts on display and when I questioned this I was told it would work fine. Not so fine on entering a couple of hotels where the foot lightly scraped the pavement; luckily at only about 2-3 km/h. They should have known better - the 2" drop wouldn't have had any issues.

ROBERT BAttendant had limited customer service skills. Process for picking up vehicle unclear. When we went up to the attendant - which was a bit of a guessing game as they were just standing there not really doing much - he could not provide clear answers nor give us a walk through of the process to pick up our vehicle. He kept walking away from us to go do something without acknowledgement - very odd. The cherry on top was receiving a call two days later that the vehicle had not been returned - this was an error on U-Haul’s part, but not surprising given our experience picking up the vehicle.
Annelise PEven thought that location is easy to miss if you do not have the address, it was a breeze to get my rental and return it. The staff is super friendly and will make your rental as stress free as possible. This is awesome when you are stressing because you are moving to a new place. 100% will go back to that location.

Javier LI was very dissatisfied with the condition of the truck I rented. The vehicle itself felt like it was falling apart, and the cab was dirty, with pistachio shells scattered everywhere. Despite this, I later discovered a cleaning fee had been added to my bill — even though the truck was already dirty when I picked it up, and no one informed me of this charge at the time. There was also a concerning discrepancy with the mileage. The mileage recorded on the paperwork was lower than what was actually displayed on the truck’s dashboard. This seemed sketchy and made me question whether I might be overcharged for miles I didn’t drive. On top of that, the tire pressure warning light was on as soon as I got in, which indicates the vehicle hadn’t been properly maintained or inspected before being rented out. Overall, the truck was in unacceptable condition, the charges were not communicated transparently, and the experience left me extremely dissatisfied.

Will RTow dolly ratchet straps were in pretty poor condition. Was difficult to tighten the straps and loosen them when removing my vehicle. The truck cargo area hadn’t been swept before I picked it up but was otherwise in good shape, very easy to drive.

Sylvia CFirst time I have ever picked up a van with a guy and his cell phone. It would have been nice to have some sort of entry area so that people could form some kind of line although I can't complain about the time we have to wait.
Dave WI had requested a moving dolly, but when I arrived I was told that they were out of dollies, and I was not given any useful or satisfactory answers from the staff on site.

The staff was professional, friendly, and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed for a safe trip. Prices were fair and exactly as quoted. Overall, a reliable and stress-free rental experience – I would definitely use U-Haul again and recommend it to others.

Reba PLocation at 291 College Street, Toronto, was hard to find because no visible address marked. You had to drive by and see U Haul trucks at the back of driveway. The place was dirty and dusty and full of weeds. No place to park your ca , while renting. Everything done on a cell phone with people who had no appearance or semblance of being employees of Uhaul. No office, just a trailer with no markings. I had to walk around the truck to inspect. The place smelled of urine everywhere. There was a trailer but all the business was done on the outside with individuals who did not appear to be employees of U Haul, no uniform or name tag. The cargo van had a dent on side door, which was the subject of message on instrument panel showing door was never fully closed. Van was given to us dirty and smelly with bits of food (french fries and smell of spilled beer inside) When returning the van the were lots of people milling around and one guy asked me for the key, but I could not tell that he was an employee of Uhaul and preferred to drop key in box. I never before encountered this situation with Uhaul and will never again rent from this location. It was all very unprofessional and business like.
DAVIDJ RThe van we were given was dented in SO many places, it definitely needs some looking after. The speaker inside the cab on the driver's side is also completely broken, so you cannot hear the radio unless the other side is turned up very loudly (which was annoying for the passenger). The location was frustrating—hours of operation stated that they were open until 10pm, but we tried to return our van around 4pm and there was no one on site. There was an issue with our invoice and I ended up having to sit in the parking lot for an extra hour while I attempted to get a hold of someone at U-Haul before dropping off keys in the key box. I've rented from U-Haul many times in the past, and this was definitely the worst experience yet.
Monika TI reserved a dolly for my move, and I was very disappointed to learn upon arrival at the U-Haul location that they had no dolly available to me. That was unacceptable, as I did not book movers at my destination because I had the understanding that I would have a dolly, which would have eliminated the need for movers. The result was that I had to move items myself without a dolly and I injured my back. The location did not provide me any alternative for obtaining a dolly. Additionally, the truck I was given was not even road-legal. It was completely missing a windshield wiper. That is unacceptable and unsafe.
Gordon MHours were advertised as 6am - 10pm, but when I returned my van at 5:30pm there were no staff on site. I didn't get to complete my check out properly because my phone was out of battery, which caused a lot of stress. The location is convenient, but the trailers parked in the entrance make it very difficult to get in and out. Also, the rear right indicator was not working.
Michael MIt’s the best location what can I say. Truck on time, fuel good, cleanliness great, got a reminder call, and the staff was excellent. Both persons. Rental performed perfectly fine. My experience of course. Wish you the same. 👌

Isabelle LThis location is amazing, centrally located, down a small alley that suddenly opens to a large lot with what seems like 50+ trucks and trailers in it. The service was great, the truck was clean - they're working out of a trailer so I'm not so sure what the experience would be like in the rain or on a cold winters day but on a clear fall day, it was excellent.
Steve ZOne employee running everything on a Sunday (especially second of the month) is ridiculous. Waited 40 min to get the truck. I feel bad for the guy as it wasn’t really his fault but frustrating nonetheless. I’ve had a good experience at this location when there was enough staff but this time you criminally understaffed the location. Would give zero stars if possible.
Finnian MThe customer service is questionable -honestly not the best. Took us 2 hrs from the time we booked the uhaul for, to actually get it. Afterwards, I was charged twice—not sure why. I’ve been calling the office to resolve this but the person I talked to seemed hesitant to issue a refund or explain to me why I was being charged twice. Didn’t get a call back after the agent (his name is Gopal) assured me he’ll look into the issue and call back. I’m still calling to get an explanation and a refund. Won’t recommend this location.
Lulu KI drove the vehicle back to the original location 291 college st. but they told me to return to another lot. Then I drove a lot extra miles to 47 industrial st. I need reimbursementu for extra miles and fees for uber get back to the original location. The uber cost me 20 dollars.

Steve KStaff were dealing with a large number of people picking up in the morning, but doing so poorly. The self checkin made things no easier having to wait to speak to the three employees, all seemingly frazzled and often attending only to a single customer. And to everyone else waiting around to be helped, the staff wouldn’t address you nor even look at you - it’s like they were trying to avoid you. The vehicle itself smelled like a barnyard, and there was a half eaten waffle cone on the floor.

Adrian WThe location had what I wanted. The truck on the inside was very dirty. The location itself runs from a trailer which was a lot of trash around it, as if it’s someone’s home. Don’t let that discourage you renting from here, just bring your wipe. Also do the app check in, there is usually 1 employee on site. It’s much quicker

Kevin AAfter arriving on time, it took me an hour and fifteen minutes to get the truck I booked. The person working at the location was extremely disorganized and entirely uncommunicative. Keys and moving blankets were all thrown haphazardly into a pile in a trailed filled with and surrounded by garbage. Every time the person working at the location had to retrieve keys, he had to spend about 10 minutes sifting through that pile of loose keys. The moving blankets I was given were filthy and thrown into the truck in a pile. It felt surreal being told that I had to fold them upon return or I would be charged an extra fee. I don’t think I’ll use U-Haul in the future, and I’d never recommend it to a friend.

BRADLEY MThere was no process at all for the pickup. When I showed up to pick up the vehicle there was no way to tell who was in charge of the location. There were 6-7 guys just walking around looking at their phones and talking to each other. The number of people lining up to pick up the truck kept increasing but they were totally unbothered by the wait faced by the customers. I was supposed to pick up the truck at 10.30AM. I arrived at the location at 10.15AM. I was handed the keys to the truck at 11.55AM. Because of them I missed all my elevator appointments and had to extend my rental till the next day. Absolutely poor experience.
