We had UHaul install the wiring and the hitch on our Subaru-because we wanted everything: Trucks, Trailers, Pods, Etc. to come from one source. After the installion we rented a 5 x 7 trailer. They hooked it up for us and we were on our way to Atlanta.. However, at a stoplight in Cullman Alabama, The car started wheezing and then died. The police came and had it towed to a parking lot. From there, we had it towed to a mechanics place of business. We were really stuck, so we rented a hotel room and called up a friend from Atlanta to pick us up in his truck and tow the trailer to his house the next day. His truck worked fine with the trailers wiring. However, the repair shop called us and said there was a problem with the Subaru's wiring- as soon as they disconnected it from the trailer, the Subaru ran fine. The mechanic called and said the Subaru was mis wired and causing problems with the Subaru's computer system. Long story short, we had to leave our stuff in my friend's basement (it was going to Asheville, NC). Now, we are out motel costs, mechanics costs, and will have to rent a new trailer to get our load to Asheville. We had towing insurance with AARP, so we had to wait to see if it went through, so we could determine what financial liability U-Haul would have-It took them a while to process this. The morning after we got the news that they would indeed pay for the towing, I called U-Haul about a week later, we got an e-mail from the U-Haul gentleman who installed the wiring. He told us no one had ever heard of such a problem, and anyway, we had waited so long, he was going to give us anything. He never even tried to contact the garage to talk to the mechanic. There is an old story in business school- "If yourPa service pleases someone, he or she may tell a friend. If it displeases them, they will tell everyone they know-for years!

KENNETH G1. This location would not provide a printed out copy of my contract. They would only email it to me. 2. This location would not hook up the rental trailer to my vehicle until I insisted. They said that they leave that to the customer to do.
ROBERT BTook 30 minutes to enter info and get truck. Employee didn't know anything about rates for over mileage. Truck hadn't been swept out.

BILLY BMy review has nothing to do with the location and everything to do with the U-Haul app and rental process. It took me 45 minutes to fill out the form and get the pictures of the truck to load on your platform when I arrived to pick up my truck. I have rented with U-Haul many times and my driver's license is on file with you. Additionally, I provided the pre-check in information when I completed my reservation. I do not know why I have to provided this information again during check in. You have an app platform that is based on having good to great internet service/cell coverage. You have rental locations with poor cell coverage/internet service. The app pages will not load to take pictures of the vehicle and so you are stuck at a remote location with no way to proceed to complete the reservation and get on with your move. It is absolute crap.
