The guys here are extremely friendly. I've gone to them twice now and I won't ever go anywhere else. I would drive across town to go here because it was super easy quick with nice people to help you.
Corrine MI’d encourage for there to be a light above the sign because it was tricky to see at night. Overall, it was one of the easiest returns!

ROMEL CHOWEVER, I first tried to rent from 37557 Dusterberry Way #4, had a unit reserved, when we got there, the place was closed, there was a truck but no dolly, hand truck, and no instructions on how to get it the truck. We called and some guy answered, he was very rude, we asked how to get the truck, he said he should have a link to the app. We said that there was no hand truck and dolly, and said we didn't get a link. He said that this is the 3rd call today that came in with an issue. I told him that isn't our problem, he said "Hey bro it's UHAUL issue, you have to understand its not our fault!" I told him that he represents UHAUL and it's his issue to fix, he hung up on me, and would not answer again. He apparently called UHAUL corporate and they did a great job of redirecting me. However, it meant I had to drive another 5 miles, and I was over an hour behind schedule. This is the second time I was forced to use the mobile service, and I don't like it, the first time was an bigger mess. I won't do it again, I will just rent from someone else that has an office.
Dan CJohn at European Auto Newark was exceptionally kind. We were returning from Sacramento and the traffic was backed-up each way. Instead of a two hour drive, it took four hours. I called John twice with updates of where I was and asked if he could possible wait for me and he graciously did. I am forever sincerely grateful to him. It put our move off on the right start. Thank you again John!!

David SThat location was in a industrial area and is a messy auto repair shop . Very disappointed . It was scarey dropping off after hours. A homeless tent out front , no lights in the drop off area . Lots of broken cars out front and inside .So glad my husband was with me . I took pictures but don't know how to post them here . I always have picked up at nice locations but this one was nothing like any of those other locations .

Harold PHorrible pickup location! Located in an industrial part of town near nothing, safety was a concern. This place only had moving blankets and no other moving supplies. Dimly lit so I was barely able to inspect the vehicle at the time of pick up.

Pratik SVer Random location. The trailer was ok, but the electrical lights did not work properly due to a loose ground wire at the rear trailer. We had to fix this in the dark at 4am on Sunday morning. Very annoying. This should have been checked and caught earlier.
Mike NI included in my reservation a dolly but the place did not have it then I picked an appliance dolly. Did not have covers for my sofas either The truck had less than 1/4 of fuel, I delivered it at 1/2 tank, I was not going to place myself in risk running low.

DAVID TUhaul can improve on reservation, I had to drive from San Jose CA to Newark to pick up truck because they didn't have truck I reserved 3 weeks prior, was a big headache to find ride to Newark and time consuming, I wish I was notified before arriving to location. Also Uhaul phone service is bad I waiting more then 20 mins for someone to answer the phone.
laura VThe lock box worked well, but there was TOO MUCH to read to get hold of the keys. Buried in the many pages of fine print was the information that if I return the truck with more fuel than when I picked up, I get no refund. That is a VERY important bit of info from the customer's point of view. Not knowing the MPG, I filled the tank for $125. Surprise, I lost $75 in fuel. U-HAUL should make this a BOLD ALL CAPS warning to their customers as the first item to read in signing the contract. Ask yourself how you would like donating $75 of you hard earned $ to a large corporation with no oppty to get refund? Moving is stressful and time-pressured. There was no time to read through all the fine print. Please change your process so that others don't make the mistake I made. Everything else was great, but that one costly mistake made the experience negative.

DAVID FThis location is tricky to identify and get to. It appears to share property and space with another business. So it is not readily identified as a U-Haul rental lot. It was difficult returning my rental truck on Sunday since the business was not open on Sundays and the online drop-off procedure was complicated. I even went to the Thornton Ave. location to drop off the truck and they told me to take it back to the Newark location otherwise I would be charged double the regular price. This is not good !!!
ricardo sLocation changed on us less than 24 hours before our pick-up date and time - this was unacceptable - we were about to leave to the airport and received notice of this sudden change of location AND type of vehicle (we ended up with a 10-ft instead of a 15-ft truck with ramp; luckily we were able to fit everything). Why can we reserve a location and truck at all if you will change it last minute? We flew from LA to San Jose, no car so had to use Lyft to drive 20 minutes away instead 5 - plus unfamiliar territory for us. Gentleman at this location was friendly and apologetic for arriving like 25 minutes later than our appointment which was set for 9am. We realize that the local fires had an impact on the entire situation, but again, why allow reservations if you will change them? This was NOT a great way to start a moving trip. The car was very nice, though I wonder why you do not have internal air circulation for the AC and clearer directions for the HAUL option and for the radio/connecting phones - this was a bummer since we have a 6 hour drive and there was a ton of smoke on our drive through Gilroy and down the 5 in 95+ degree weather. THis was more affordable than Penske rentals, but with the uncertainty, not sure if I would use UHAUL again.
Joanna MFor some reason the online site would not allow me to do mobile online rental at 7am but when front desk person arrived about 9:30am everything went great, and was the same upon returning. In the end, very pleased with service & with truck.
Charles TWas not a location that I would have wanted to come to alone. Also was disappointed that there was nothing within COVID restrictions, no glass protectors and no face masks required as I was told would be on the phone.
Glen AIt is not the typical uhaul center, but one specifically for trucks. I was not aware, so was surprised. The owner was very nice and efficient

Carroll MThe vehicle made it to Texas without any major issues. But we wasted a lot of money on gas due to a leak in the transition area from where you put the gas in to the actual tank. Every time we stopped there was a puddle of gas left behind. Once you stopped filling the leak stopped so the tank itself is not leaking just the transition area to the tank.

Rayvon TI dropped off asked if anything needed to be done in my end they said no I called uhaul to check and the drop of location hadn’t checked in my rental then they charged me for an extra day when they took an hr to even check it in
YESSENIA PI drove from the Bay Area to the LA area I had the truck for 3 Days had no issues easy to drive easy to load. both places I picked up and delivered and courteous no Drama

Elizabeth DThe concept is really simple- go on line, reserve the truck you need at the best location for you logistically, pick it up, move your stuff, bring it back. IT IS NOT THAT SIMPLE WITH UHAUL. I reserved my truck 3 WEEKS before my move, got a call during work hours THE DAY BEFORE saying I would have to drive 93 miles to pick up the truck. When I find this out, I call in and their best solution is to give me 2 trucks at the same rate. Since I had no other options 18 hours before my move, I agreed. Did I mention that the two trucks would have to be picked up at 2 different locations still 20 miles away? Go to pick up the first truck, talk with John (who was actually really great) and decide to only gte one truck and a trailer. On my way, do my move, drop off my truck. Get my emailed receipt the next day and was overcharged by $220 on the mileage. Now I get to deal with their "great" service folks whom were oh so helpful with the truck fiasco to begin with. WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN. I give the location in Newark and John 5 stars; if I could give Uhaul service people a negative 5 rating, I would.
