Trailer was parked in an open, muddy pasture type setting with overgrown grass. The site representative instructed me over the phone to back in and hook up the trailer and someone would come out in a few minutes to take a picture before I departed I waited for David to arrive to inform him that I was not comfortable with that arrangement. He attempted to lift it off the ground to connect it to my SUV but couldn’t lift it alone. He asked me at 68 years old to assist him with the task in 95 degree heat. We were able to get it connected. However, on June 23rd, 30 miles outside of El Paso, Texas the re-thread tire unraveled and delayed my arrival in town as I made calls to attempt to find a replacement. UHaul roadside service promptly dispatched a repairman within 2 hours and Sam replaced the tire. He also informed me that the trailer had two different sized tires on each side which probably contributed to the tire issue. I am a frequent customer of UHaul products and usually very happy with the product and services provided. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a rental product and it was very frustrating and unsafe!

They were flexible with the timing of the pickup; however, they were not knowledgeable about the auto transport which caused a few issues.

Don’t have customers pick equipment/trucks and take forever to approve. I was under 100+ degrees in Texas and your agent took forever!! I called again and another agent stayed with me on the phone to make sure everything was processed and I was not delayed anymore! Great work by that agent!

The lady who was hanging around at location was poorly experienced at anything. She had very little knowledge about app. She had no customer service. It was pathetic. My daughter called reservations after I made one with this lady and got everything set up correctly. Definitely uhaul needs to set up a reliable true uhaul location in Castroville. This was just a small piece of property that had been cleared. Down 471 toward Castroville was another uhaul location that was literally a small piece of land where trees were somewhat cleared. No people. I met some people trying to pick up their reserved truck and having no luck. Castroville serves better. U haul deserves better. Horrible. But I’m an old uhaul customer and know better.

Pretty much self serve, reserve it on line, call attendant upon arrival, take photos and be on the way. In most cases this is the best way to go if you are looking for human interaction the office is blocks away from the equipment.

Went in to rent a dolly but was told that the dolly was not wide enough to carry an F150 I needed a trailer. I took the trailer. I got home and started to to put the truck on the trailer but the trailer was not long enough for the wheel base of the truck. My back tires would hang over about a foot from the back of the trailer. I returned the trailer right away and explained to the U-Haul person the problem and that I should get a refund since they should have know about the length issue as they knew about the width. This is what they do for a living. I didn't get to use the trailer.
