The truck that I used both times wasn’t maintenance. Also at the end of my 2nd use they charged me for a piece of equipment that there employee took back from me! I really want my money back for the whole transaction!

Hello, this is a very unprofessional place to rent a U Haul from. They do not provide receipts or proper paperwork, and they fail to check the truck in and out as they should. No one reviewed the truck condition with me at pickup or at return, even after I specifically asked them to do so. I received the truck with the gas at the halfway point and returned it with more than half a tank. They are now falsely claiming the gas was at three quarters, which is not true, and are attempting to charge me an additional $23.84. There is also a significant communication barrier that contributes to these ongoing issues. Receipts and documentation should always be provided so customers clearly understand what they are being charged at both the beginning and the end of the rental. I believe this practice is intentionally misleading. Yes, I will be taking this matter to the Maryland Attorney General. I cannot stand scammers or people who lie, cheat, and steal. I later reviewed their ratings and saw they only had three star reviews, and I regret not trusting my intuition. The only reason I used this location was because the closer location was out of the truck size I needed. This situation is not acceptable and this is not good business.

This location was very accommodating with a last minute reservation change to their location. My original location on Pulaski hwy was terrible! I got there after hours and the app said no vehicle was assigned to my reservation. I had to call and waste 20 minutes on the phone with customer service just to drive another 20 minutes to get the new uhaul. This was a major inconvenience and I expect to be contacted by uhaul customer service to be refunded for this reservation.

Where to begin? The truck smelled like urine. The lights did not work properly. My rental rate was quoted at 1.29 per mile, but when I returned the truck I was charged 1.79 per mile. Not a great U-Haul experience.

This is my second time using this location because it's a convenient location. This time on the reservation, I selected to check in with my phone. When I got to the location, I was told by customer service on the phone, I could not check in with my phone at this location, I had to go inside. I wish that was made clear when I made the reservation because I might have selected a different location. I wouldn't mind going inside but it is a gas station so there's always a line before I can be helped. They only had one person in the store so I had to wait until everyone else was helped before they could attend to me. When I returned the truck, no one came out to check it out, just took the key and said they would send me an email afterwards, so I don't know why I had to go through the inconvenience of going inside when the transaction was treated as if I just used my phone. Also, I don't want to be rude, but I had a hard time understanding the attendant's English, which was another reason why I didn't want to go inside. It wasn't a total horrible experience but I thought it would be less time-consuming and more convenient than a full-service location. It wasn't so I'll probably not bother with it the next time I need a truck.

The equipment was fine but the personnel at the location (6819 Loch Raven Blvd) were difficult to deal with and I NEVER got a receipt... physical or emailed! This was disconcerting because I rented a vehicle with a mileage charge associated with it. How am I supposed to know how much I'm being charged unless your staff calculates all of the charges and gives me a receipt?? ...and what's to prevent them from overcharging me without one...

It’s not bad, it’s just shabby and uninviting. There is no indication of where to enter the building and having to leave the property, drive around the block in order to park the vehicle is inconvenient. The personnel were helpful.

the equipment was very clean and the location is extremely convenient. The truck could use some work on the steering, it seemed loose. One other comment, when I arrived for my scheduled pickup the person working at the gas station was not familiar with how to complete the rental process and was trying to tell me to com back later, but called someone to walk him through the process and I was on my way

Picking up the 26' truck at Evergreen Gas Station was probably the smoothest U-Haul rental I've ever done. They were courteous and speedy. The truck was clean and I was off after just a few minutes. I will be using this location in the future if I ever need a U-Haul again.

I was called ahead to move to this location because that is where they were supposed to have a truck ready for me. They also said they would extend my reservation from 5 hours to 24 hours because it wasn’t an hourly rate (which I appreciated). When I went to check-in on the app, there was no truck ready for me. So I had to talk to someone. There was a long line of gas station customers. I was asked to step to the side and kept getting de-prioritized for other gas station customers. Eventually I did get the truck. Later I got a text saying my reservation was almost due. Turns out the person who called me never actually extended the reservation to 24 hours. Luckily I was able to do it myself with no problem. But every part of the human interaction in this experience was poor.

The lock on the back "door" was not easy to use. I wound up using rope to keep it locked as I could not get the parts to work that were on the " directions" of how to lock/unlock the "door". I also would try to find a " truck" /van that had a ramp you could use to load, rather than lifting things up into the back. The paper end of reserving, etc. went well. I had originally reserved a van and it was my fault ( reading dates incorrectly) that I did not get that van. Getting the new reservation was easy on the phone. I commend you in that aspect.

The agent was speaking to someone on a phone through a wireless mic during the entire pickup making communication challenging. The reserved equipment (dolly and blankets) were not in the truck. I had to locate the dolly outside the building and then request the moving blankets. When I received the blankets they were in a plastic bag. When opened they were damp/mildewed and had black mold growing on one of them. When I dropped off the truck I tried to inform the agent about the mold on the blankets. The agent said, “I don’t know. The guy taking care of the trucks will take care of it.” There was no concern. I will not use this facility again.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with a recent experience I had at a U-Haul location. As a loyal customer of U-Haul for over 10 years, I have always relied on your services for my moving and transportation needs and have never encountered an issue until now. Unfortunately, during my interaction with this particular U-Haul branch, I was met with extreme rudeness, blatant unprofessionalism, and, most disturbingly, racial slurs directed at me over the phone. This behavior is not only offensive and unacceptable but also deeply hurtful and shocking coming from a representative of a company I’ve trusted for over a decade. I have never felt so disrespected or mistreated by any U-Haul owner or employee in all my years of doing business with your company. Because of this upsetting encounter, I will never return to this location again, and I strongly urge U-Haul to address this matter with the seriousness it deserves. I hope U-Haul takes steps to ensure no other customer is subjected to this kind of treatment in the future.
